“BJ was fabulous. We were in town for a college visit and needed a doggy sitter for the day for our two miniature poodles - Artemis and Apollo. BJ volunteered to meet us on the campus because we were running a little late, and from the moment she met the dogs, we could tell they would be very happy. They played in the yard and from the pictures, I thought they would not want to come home with us - they looked so happy. Later in the day, BJ said our shy little Artemis, who does not always warm up, sat on her lap for quite a while. When we picked them up in the late afternoon, Artemis and Apollo were still very happy. If my daughter goes to Knox College, or if we have reason to bring them to Galesburg again, we would definitely call BJ.”

“Not a bad pet owner, if I do say so myself. Sadly allergic to cats, but we're talking about mans best friend. Could not recommend her enough. With Love, -Tony.”

About: I have had extensive pet care experience over the years. I have cared for both dogs and cats, as well as smaller animals like rabbits and hamsters. I have experience with both indoor and outdoor pets, and I am comfortable with administering medication if needed. In my previous job, I was responsible for feeding, walking, and playing with the pets under my care. I also kept an eye on their health and reported any concerns to their owners. I am passionate about providing the best possible care for animals and I enjoy spending time with them. Well, pet care is an essential part of our daily and weekly routines, especially for pet owners like me. When it comes to taking care of our pets, we need to ensure that they are healthy, happy, and safe. This means providing them with proper nutrition, exercise, grooming, and veterinary care. As a pet owner, my daily pet care routine involves feeding my pet, giving them fresh water, and taking them for a walk or providing them with playtime. Additionally, I take some time to clean up after my pet, such as cleaning their litter box or picking up after them outside. Weekly pet care routines can involve much more, like giving my pet a bath, cleaning their bedding or cage, and checking for any potential health issues or concerns. I also make it a point to play with my pet and teach them new tricks during the week to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. Overall, pet care is a responsibility that pet owners like myself need to take seriously. By incorporating daily and weekly routines, we can ensure that our pets continue to thrive and live healthy, happy lives. Well, I think my approach to caring for my pets at home is pretty comprehensive. Firstly, I make sure to provide them with a clean environment, which means their area and kennel is cleaned as well as, beddings are changed regularly. I also make sure they have access to plenty of fresh water and nutritious food. In terms of exercise and playtime, I schedule a set amount of time each day for interactive play and exercise, in addition to walks outdoors. This keeps them happy, healthy and stimulated both physically and mentally. I also prioritize their medical needs by ensuring they receive regular checkups and vaccinations as needed. This proactive approach helps to prevent health problems down the line. Overall, I believe that providing a safe and nurturing environment, plenty of exercise and playtime, and proactive medical care are all key to caring for pets in a responsible and effective way.

“Katie has been a great help when I needed someone to look after my cats Richard and Ghost in the past. She was able to follow the instructions I gave and I was pleased with her quality of care. She keeps them entertained and happy.”
5. Olesia & Ryan H.
“Olesia is the only person I would trust to care for my babies. She loves animals and is so caring and patient – her ability to calm an anxious dog and keep a hyper dog moving and happy is unmatched. Olesia took care of my dog, Doe, back when I first got her and she was only a few months old. Olesia sent me picture and video updates, and bonded immediately with her. She took equally good care of Doe as an adult, sending regular updates, and being extremely patient with some of Doe's bad habits (like barking). Doe was genuinely sad to leave once I picked her up! A testament to her care is her own experience with pet ownership; she has two adopted dogs (Fiona and Jack) who are as friendly as she is! They love meeting other dogs almost as much as her daughter does (who has never so much as pulled a tail). I'm so grateful to know someone like Olesia and her own family of rugrats who can take care of my little ones!”

About: I have experience with all ages from baby to senior animals. My calm and loving demeanor makes me a bit of an animal whisperer. I have been asking by many to watch or walk their animals and thought why not get paid for what makes me happy! I have open availability and would love to make this part of my career. I worked in "Corporate America" for almost 20 years and I am ready for a change. I have a fenced in backyard and a great neighbored to walk in. I have a good size house for boarding and daycare. I also have 2 friendly dogs, that love a good dog park.

About: I have raised 2 puppies and several cats and I'm the mom of a frenchie. We love going for walks and being outside. My dog plays well with others and would welcome a new friend for the day. I'm just working part time right now so I would have plenty of time for a drop-in visit and a walk. I'm available Mon 10am-12:30pm Tues 8am-12:30pm Wed 8am-2pm Thurs 8am-12:30pm Fri 8am-2pm. Mon-fri I would still be available for drop-in or walks after 5pm but I would have my kids with me. Please reach out even if your requested time doesn't match my availability. I still may be able to accommodate you. I do not have a fenced yard which is why I'm not offering for pets to stay in my home. My dog is trained to stay nearby so we haven't needed to get a fence yet. I am able to accommodate walking dogs of all sizes and all activity levels. I can work with dogs who pull or who are easily distracted. I'm a mother to 4 children and a dog so I definitely have patience! I'm currently working part-time so I have open afternoons, evenings and weekends. I work 7am-1pm Mon-Fri, but I can be flexible with my start and end times. I will care for your pet like they are my own and make sure to follow all routines and instructions. I make sure your pet has everything they need and I double and triple check gates and doors before I leave.
