About: I've sat for many different breeds and species over the years. I grew up always having some type of animal in the home, especially dogs. I have two dogs and a cat now. I love cooking for them and knowing exactly what is going in their food. I love making home made treats for them as well. I even sew for them at times. I've made boots, coats, beds, Halloween costumes, toys, etc. Right now, my schedule is pretty flexible, which means I have lots of time to dedicate purely to furkids. I am close with a professional dog trainer and am able to ask any question, which is always a big help. My vet has great hours and very accessible as well for any questions or concerns.

About: Hello! I'm Lara, mom of 2 cats (a torty & an orange), and I'd love to keep your little one safe & happy while you're away! 😊 Training: I’ve literally never lived in a home without a dog and/or cat, so my pet care experience is lifelong. I recently moved from Seattle to Galena, and while in Seattle, I was a volunteer at Seattle Humane Society. After completing their basic cat care training, I chose to continue on and get trained & certified to work with the more "challenging" cats, and a further cert to care for the cats in isolation due to an infectious condition. Their curriculum includes interpreting cat behavior, monitoring their "ins" and "outs", identifying potential health conditions, what cats need for healthy stimulation, and most importantly, consent-based care. Cat Behavior: I've been a cat mom for 18 consecutive years, so I am very good at reading cats' behavior. When I meet a new cat, I am quiet, calm, and still. I always let them dictate how we will interact. Health: I have experience administering subcutaneous fluids, topical medications, and oral medications (in liquid and pill form). I've also completed the American Red Cross' Cat and Dog First Aid course. Communication: Having used cat sitters myself many times, I know how crucial communication is while you're away. I'll always note what I did, when, what I observed, and anything else that I would want to know in your position. My commitment to you is: I will be respectful of your home, I will provide top-tier care for your pet, and I will send lots of photos. 😸 I’m currently pursuing a part-time, online Accounting certificate program with the University of Washington, so I have class on Wednesdays from 7-11pm and Saturdays from 11am-2pm central. So those are the only times I can NOT do a drop-in visit (plus buffer time for driving). I've utilized cat sitters many times myself, so I understand how important it is to trust the person you let into your home to take care of your most precious ones. I'm a very conscientious and respectful person, so I will take care of your pets and your home as if they were my own. I’ll feed & water your pets, get that litter box clean as can be, and play with and/or snuggle them according to their preferences.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, my dogs are my family and I have made it my passion to care for animals. I have experience in dog grooming working as a bather for a year and animal care working as a kennel attendant for 3 years. Currently I work part time and have time to spare. I recently moved to the area and love exploring and walk my own dogs daily. I can follow a list of care instructions competently and am comfortable asking questions when I am unsure. I care for my dogs as if they are my family and would make sure your pet receives the same level of care.

About: I own two high energy dogs, Josie and Stella, both raised from puppies, so I know how stressful puppy parenting can be. Growing up on a farm surrounded by animals is where I developed my love for caring for them, and it’s where I learned responsibility. We often head to the farm for extra playtime and walks, so your pup will have plenty of fun, exercise, and love no energy left behind! I’m currently in school for respiratory therapy, so I’ve cut back on my hours. I work most weekends 2-10:30. Then a few shifts throughout the week occasionally. Other than that, I’m pretty available around my work and school schedule, and I can’t wait to care for and love your animals! I have two friendly, high energy dogs who love to play! While we don’t have a fenced yard, we’re lucky to have country property with plenty of space to walk around the fields.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Family and friends rely on me to watch their dogs overnight, feed and give them love. I’m currently not working, so I will have tons of time to play and care for your pups. I’m available for boarding through out the week and weekends. About: I owned a dog for a couple years who had a disease that required special care when eating and drinking water, he had a lot of medical needs. I became profiecent in his needs and provided great care before he passed. With that said, I have experience with taking care of dogs with special needs. I also have experience raising a puppy from very young, so I understand reactiveity in dogs and have learned different ways to calm them down or pay special attention to them during moments of high reactivity ( like during walks) I am currently work remotely from home and have a pretty flexible schedule during my day that allows me to do side quests such as rover I have a fenced in yard and 1 dog who loves playing with other dogs! so your fur baby would have a best friend to play with during the day. About: I have lots of pet experience! I have been in the pet sitting and dog walking area for many years! I love being with dogs and loving on them. I am prompt and on time with feedings, potty breaks, walks, and anything else they might need! I had a sweet dog for many years by the name of Charlie, she was super sweet, I trained her to do many things, unfortunately she passed this year, but I am thankful for her and what she taught me! Now I want to love on other dogs like she loved on me! Castle Rock Colorado is my hometown and I usually come back in Summer and Winter breaks. About: I am open to most pets. Cats, Dogs, Horses, Calves, Lambs, Guinea Pigs, Turtles, etc..... If extra special care or out of state, I do charge travel fees. I do have experience with older pets and young ones. I have been known to raise Opossums from the size of mice to adults. If that gives you an idea! I am open to new proposals and willing to negotiate new situations! (Unencountered situations when it comes to pets) I also House-sit, plants, pets etc... I do travel out of state to Illinois (Mostly the North suburbs of Chicago) and Wisconsin. This is where I have done house-sitting. Pets and Plants can be included in this care. I do add travel expenses, mainly for gas, when traveling for house sitting. I get up in the morning and get my coffee going and then tend to pets that are around. They get fed first thing, inside and outside. Feral cats seem to be present in the morning. Litter boxes are checked. Water Bowls. Mostly I go to people's homes and care for the pets at their houses, but I have had people bring them to me. I have an extra room set up in my barn if there are anxieties or stress with animals and they need a quiet place. I am in the process of updating that room a little more. It is heated for the winter months. I do have hand brushes and combs for extra attention and I do go talk to whoever is around. If dogs come, they can be walked. Although I live in a small town, I am close to nice places to walk on the edge of town.

About: I am a dog owner myself. I have always loved animals and specifically dogs! I also received my certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy in college (May ‘24) so have lots of experience working with dogs! I work part time in home health care for older adults.
