“Katrina is super reliable and excellent with our dog. We highly recommend he!”

“As usual Dana took excellent care of my dogs while I worked an exceptionally long day. As a single fur mama I am forever grateful for her help!!”

About: I grew up in rural Montana and I have had experiences with every sort of animal: wild, farm, and domestic. My parents helped foster my love of animals by providing my brothers and I small aquatic critters, along with always having an expanding roster of cats and dogs. I know how not to get kicked by a horse, trampled by moose, or pinched by a hermit crab named Cracky. I am a massive homebody on the weekends and most weekdays. My most wild nights lately have been spent exploring the Wegmans and Trader Joe’s. Am I boring? Probably! But also very dependable. I am insured privately for pet sitting, dog walking, and grooming services so you can have extra peace of mind (and so can I!). I have a two pet friendly animals who are below 20lbs. The little dog is blind and older, but still loves to play with medium sized dogs and dogs who are gentle. I am lucky to live semi-rurally while being in town and have lots of room for dogs to stretch their legs, with 8 acres of forest and meadow. I just got chickens but they are kept separate from my pet sitting clients. For drop-in visits, I am able to do walks, outdoor play, indoor play, feeding, and any other pet related activities that you require.

“Jill has been working with us walking, our dog Flynn, for 6 months now without an issue. She has great communication and flexibility working with us and our changing schedules. We are very glad that we were able to find someone so dependable and look forward to continuing to work with Jill.”

About: Having been through a fairly traumatic dog attack myself, I made it my mission to learn all about dog's behavior and why they do what they do. I have studied different ways of training and learning how to react to certain situations with them. I promise to love and give all the fun play time, cuddle time, and attention to your favorite furry friend! Your doggy can sleep in my bed and hang out on the couch. If you are anything like me, your dog is your best friend and child! I had an amazing female Boston Terrier who lived to 13 1/2. I am versed in care of elderly dogs. My new venture is a deaf puppy. We are learning hand signals for training. He is very friendly and loves to make new friends. If you have any questions about what I'm willing to do, or can and can't do, please don't hesitate to ask me! I work for a family business, and can bring my dog to work. Therefore, your pup will be able to come to work with me! I will love your baby as if it was my own. Dogs will always be leashed outside. They are allowed on furniture here and are welcome to snuggle anytime! But if you have different rules , please tell me so I can abide by them.

About: I've had a love of animals ever since i can remember. Growing up we always had a dog as part of the family along with a multitude of other pets and I can't imagine it any other way. I've raised dogs from puppies and loved them until their last breath. I have puppy pads available for those who are not yet trained and those who have lost their ability to tell you when they need to go. I am a Registered Nurse and am very familiar with giving not only oral and topical medications but injections as well. I also have an amazing vet I've been going to for over 15 years, literally within minutes from my house just in case the unexpected happens. I have watched multiple dogs for family and friends over the years and I've also fostered/rescued and re-homed over 7 dogs in the last 20 years some of whom came to me in pretty rough shape and I cared for them until they reached their full potential and were ready to be loved by another family. If i could have kept them all I would have but I had to make room for the next fur baby in need. I currently work full-time as a RN but have the opportunity to work from home on a regular basis. My animals are never left home alone for an extended period of time. I also have a large cages with lots of clean blankets for boarders to be put in for a short amount of time if need be.

“Erica was so amazing ! This was my first time using this app so I was a little nervous. She did so good with Bentley and I am beyond happy she was able to walk him! 10/10 will book with her any time I can ! Thank you :)”

“Kris is excellent. She cares about the pups and loves what she does! She is professional and trustworthy.”

About: I started by first pet sitting business at 8 years old in my neighborhood and I've been caring for animals in some way, shape, or form ever since! I'm new to the Syracuse area, so this is my first time trying to find clients on Rover. When I'm not hanging with pets, I'm a biology professor up in the North Country. My expertise is in wildlife/fisheries biology, which means I love animals of all kinds. Fluffy ones, feathery ones, scaley ones, and smooth ones. Anyway, I've got summers off and would love to spend some time hanging with your pets, especially as I'm currently pet-less. My 18 year old Aussie mix passed last summer. So, I've got lots of love and scritches to share. I'm comfortable with dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, etc., and would be happy to spend time with puppies or seniors, give meds, take walks, or go to the park! I'm off during the summer months, so from the first week of May until the last week of August. I'm located just outside of Baldwinsville. I'm hoping to work mostly weekdays, but I’m free many weekends as well. I would prefer to come to your home, whether for drop-in services or to stay over. I would also be very happy to take your dog out and about, for a walk on the canal or to the dog park.

“I have known Gabby since she and my daughter were were in kindergarten together. She is excellent with animals especially dogs. Gabby met Luna for the first time, Luna took right to her. Gabby shared videos and pictures with me which was awesome. I highly recommend Gabby. She trustworthy and honest young lady! You will love her!!! Thanks Gabriella❤️??”

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs for ten plus years, I love animals and all animals love me, I love walking dogs and I love hanging out with them. It’s truly a passion of mine. I am currently majoring in adolescent education so starting In January, Monday through Friday I am available anytime after 2:30 PM and Saturday all day! When my dad got cancer in 2022 it became my responsibility to be the sole provider and caretaker for my dogs and that’s exactly what I did, I got to step up and build a close bond with my dogs closer than we’ve had before and it’s something I cherish greatly!

“Liam is a very nice , conscientious sitter. He was on time and great with our dog”

About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. I’ve spent time providing quality animal care for dogs and cats for multiple clients over the years. I’m currently working full-time. I am looking to fulfill a passion of mine, by being with animals more often. I’m looking forward to becoming more active. I have a half acre of land for dogs to roam on. I live on a private drive which makes walks easy and safe, as traffic is limited. I have plenty of space for a crate, if needed.

“Alex is so good with responding to each day and what kind of walk is best to fit the weather, the dog’s mood , etc. He gives my dog Briar space and time to stroll and smell or gives her an exhilarating walk based on the dog’s needs each day.”

About: Hello, My name is Morgan, I have grown up in a very pet friendly home over the past 30 years. I have had animals for as long as I can remember. Including dogs, cats, horses, goats, birds, lizzards, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. :) I have provided pet care for multiple people in my area over the past many years and just absolutely find it so fulfilling! Animals are a huge part of my life and bring me so much joy. In my opinion, there is no better job than that of animal caretaking. I am always open to any job that needs to be done. I can pet sit in my own home or I can go to you. I firmly believe that an animal is best kept at home where they are most comfortable. I have house/pet sat the majority of my side career and have found my customers to be very satisfied in the end. I even farm sit (horses, goats, sheep, etc) and and can do all the feeding, mucking, turning out and turning in! Lifelong experience with small animals and 27 years experience with large (horses, goats, cows) animals. All the above is just my quick profile. If you need to know more, feel free to get a hold of me! Thanks! -Morgan I’m currently only working part-time so I have lots of time to play with your pups, cats, etc! My schedule is very open usually after 10-11 am M-F. Weekends I’m off of work. My yard is not fenced in but I ALWAYS leash any dog that stays with me while we are outside. I also have recall training leashes available to allow the dog to run around and play while still safely being on leash. As for care in your home, I will utilize any items/devices you ask, i.e. special training collars, leashes, e-collar devices (I have experience with these as I use them on my own dogs). I take the animals safety very seriously and am always open and willing to meet your needs, whatever that may be.

About: Safety and well-being are my top priorities. I offer professional pet-sitting services with a focus on positive reinforcement techniques for managing aggression, comprehensive puppy training, and gentle, attentive senior care. I am skilled in reading canine body language and implementing proactive strategies to prevent incidents. Let's discuss how I can provide exceptional care for your unique dog in the Syracuse area! I am a teacher who has the summers off! I have open availability from June 27th- August 25 (depending). During the school year, I am free Friday nights and weekends! Okay, here's a sample answer a pet sitter might provide when asked how they care for pets in their home versus a client's home, tailored to someone who handles aggressive dogs, puppies, and seniors: "My approach to pet sitting is highly adaptable, depending on whether I'm caring for your pet in my Baldwinsville home or in the comfort of their own familiar environment. In My Home (Boarding/Daycare): I create a structured yet comfortable environment where safety is paramount. For dogs with aggression, this means they have their own secure and private space – no forced interactions with other animals. Exercise and potty breaks are always done individually and in a controlled manner, utilizing secure leashes and, if the owner uses one and the dog is comfortable, a muzzle in appropriate situations. I am vigilant in reading body language to preemptively manage any potential triggers. Puppies in my care benefit from a consistent routine, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement training for basic manners, and appropriate socialization opportunities if they are at a safe age and temperament for limited, controlled interactions with calm, vaccinated dogs (always with owner consent and careful supervision). My home is puppy-proofed to minimize risks. For senior pets, I provide comfortable, supportive bedding in a quiet area. I adhere to their feeding schedules and any specific needs like medication administration. I monitor their mobility and ensure they have easy access to food, water, and potty areas, adjusting exercise to their comfort level. Regardless of age or temperament, I maintain detailed records, follow your specific instructions meticulously, and provide regular updates with photos and videos. In Your Home (Drop-in Visits/Overnight Stays): My priority is to seamlessly integrate into your pet's existing routine. For all pets, this means adhering to their feeding, exercise, potty break, and medication schedules. I ensure they receive the same level of care and attention they are accustomed to. For aggressive dogs, I follow your established protocols for walks and handling. I am extremely careful about securing entry and exit points and will avoid any situations where your dog might encounter triggers, such as other dogs or unfamiliar people, unless specifically instructed and it's part of their management plan. I prioritize solitary walks and maintain a safe distance from others. When caring for puppies in your home, I reinforce your training efforts with positive reinforcement, ensure frequent potty breaks to prevent accidents, and engage them in appropriate play to burn energy. For senior pets in their own home, I ensure their comfort, administer medications as needed, assist with mobility if required, and monitor for any signs of discomfort or changes in health. In both settings, clear and consistent communication with you is key. I want to understand your pet's nuances, triggers, and preferences to provide the safest and most enriching care possible. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your unique pet is in capable and caring hands

“Mariana is such a kind hearted individual who whole heartedly loves animals! She takes excellent care of my dog Harley, and I wouldn't want to go to anyone else for my dog's care!”

About: Dog sitting since 2010, I love dogs and am not put off by size or jumping. After a few quick sniffs we are likely to be good friends. I work but I make sure I leave time between my multiple jobs to check on the dog. I have references if needed. It can be hard to give a key to a stranger and to trust someone in your home. I can grab mail, water plants, ***and care for smaller animals and additional pets that aren't the traditional cat and dog.*** I work part time, so I do not work more than 7 straight hours. My other jobs are often virtual/online or other dogs so it gives me flexibility. I have a cat and can only watch pets at your residence, because I have roommates. I love to snuggle pets (if they feel comfortable with me) and am conscientious in dietary needs and will read whatever instructions and specifics you give. I dont mind giving medicine. I will admit that I can be hard for me to do dinner times if it's on a strict schedule. I can get up as early as needed for breakfast time, but sometimes life gets in the way naturally. I am also a night owl and rely on that to earn extra income, So I do a lot of events. I'm an actor, game designer, as well as an educator and freelance writer. I like to follow instructions whether given in the form of an email or on a piece of paper. Vet numbers and any information that helps me best Make your pet healthy and happy is helpful. A lot of people worry when they give me a packet and I'm an avid reader so don't worry if you have more than three pages. I'm pretty sure the longest one has been five pages for one dog and even that isn't that long. :)

“Amazing! Went above and beyond to help and sent the most adorable little pictures of my dogs! :) Thank you!!”
