“Was very communicative and nice, sent frequent updates and showed flexibility around pick off and drop off time. Our dog was very happy there and came back in a great mood. Would book again 😊”

“Joe was amazing! My dog, Chocolate Chip, loved him and his sweet dog Henry. Joe gave me so many great tips as a first-time dog owner and was incredibly accommodating with my work schedule. I felt completely at ease knowing Chip was in such good hands. We will definitely be booking with Joe again soon!”

“Can't say enough about how grateful I am for Amy. My guy clearly enjoys his time with her based on the pictures she sends - I can tell he is happy and feels safe. I would definitely recommend Amy - 5 stars all the way!”

“We were able to book Alyson 3-4 hours before our drop off time and we are so grateful she was able to accommodate our last minute request so we could have a little date night and not worry about our babe being anxious and alone at home for 5 hours. Alyson was friendly and seemed to be really comfortable with having dogs in her home. Percy made himself comfortable almost immediately (lol) and we could tell he had a great time at Alyson’s at pick up time. We cannot wait to use her services again.”

“So, i was pretty nervous to leave my precious, sick, 4-month-old furbaby with an internet stranger. But we had good conversations beforehand and he had lots of good reviews. Well, the reviews are well deserved! Puppy had a fine time. Howie (and his wife) clearly took great care of her! Would definitely book again. I just need to figure my schedule out.”

About: We're Anna and David, and we live in Minneapolis with our young kid. We would love to watch your dog while you're away! We have a private backyard in a dog-friendly neighborhood – lots of sidewalks, parks, and lakes around. We both enjoy walking, being outside, and doggy snuggles. David grew up with a dog, and Anna grew up with ferrets and has ferret, cat, and dog sat since she was a teenager. We have experience administering medicine to dogs. Our kid is used to being around dogs. We ask that your dog also have experience around kids and be good with them if you consider a stay in our home. As a couple, we had a rescue dog the entirety of our decade-plus long relationship until recently. After the death of our beloved dog, we are not yet ready for a new dog but are missing them in our lives. We look forward to hosting your pup! We both work from home and have flexible schedules. We enjoy the companionship of having a dog around and take regular walks throughout the day. We have a small dog bed and treats. We have space for a crate if necessary. Regular outside time is important for us, and we would include your pup when we are outside whenever possible. Our backyard is partially fenced. If needed, we have a yard stake and leash. We spend a lot of time in our backyard in warmer months, for work, meals, and gatherings and would only keep dogs in the yard if we are out there.

“Megan is a fantastic sitter. My pup Ollie has been staying with her once a week for several months now. She’s always friendly and communicative, and takes steps to adjust to my dogs “special needs” (ie moving a pot that scared him, and picking up his poop before he can get to it 😹). Additionally, when Ollie had a minor coughing fit she reached out to let me know about it, and sent visual evidence that he was perfectly okay. I know Ollie will always be in good hands with her!”

“My first time using a rover sitter for my 7 month old golden retriever - my literal fur baby and it was a great experience!! They cared so well for Dolly girl and I will definitely be using them again in the future. The check-in’s and photos were so helpful in making me comfortable leaving her all day.”

“Emilie was so good to my dog, Walter. I felt really comfortable leaving her with him for the whole day. She sent tons of pictures of him while I was at work and said he played all day -- which was perfect! I'm definitely going to be rebooking in the future. :-) Walter was pooped once we got home.”

“Kathryn, was great and was willing to do a meet and greet on a really short notice and willing to take my dog in. Unfortunately my tire got a flat and was unable to drop off the dog so I canceled the appointment for the housesitting very last minute and she was so gracious about it.”

About: I have experience with dogs of all ages and plenty of personal dog training experience. The dogs in my house get lots of love and attention from myself, my husband, and my little boys. My children have been taught extensively on how to treat animals and are gentle and kind when it comes to interacting with my dogs. My fenced in back yard makes it easy to let the dogs out to play and do potty breaks throughout the day. I am a stay at home mom, so I am home all day taking care of the kids and the dogs. The most I'll need to leave the dogs alone is a couple hours if there are any appointments or errands I need to run on a given day! I let the dogs out regularly into our fenced backyard and do walks if weather permits. There almost always someone home, so the dogs are never wanting for company, fresh water, and interaction/play.

About: I grew up with dogs, have always loved dogs, have taken care of countless dogs over the years, and I have my own as well. I have what I would consider to be a healthy mix of excellent boundaries (no begging for human food, etc) with dubious boundaries (my dog gets to sleep under the covers). I work from home with my dog and I typically let him out in our fenced backyard upwards of four times per day, with extended yard time during lunch. We live in a single-family home with no kids and a fully-fenced backyard. Dogs in my care can expect to be safely let out into the fenced yard several times per day.

“Jeanne and Rita have provided excellent care for my senior dog. Even after almost a year of daycare, they still send me photos of little Gianni snoozing in a sunbeam, happy as a clam!”

“Greyson is a gem and takes incredible care of Lulu! His love for dogs is clearly evident and his patience with and affection for Lulu is so appreciated. He’s also communicative and flexible and I’m very grateful to have found him on Rover.”

“Annie took great care of Simba ! Very grateful for the time & attention she gave my pup when I was busy at work ❤️ She was easy communicate to and always responded right away. Thank you Annie !”

Anna & David O.Star Sitter
“We have known Anna and David for years, and now their wonderful son Isaac. This family recently lost their family pet of 16 years, Rufus. Anna and David helped us with our terrier Fritzie when we needed care for her. They are such a fun, loving and generous family. Because of their welcoming and open hearts, calm demeanor and flexibility, I think they would be a great match for Rover. Any dog that stays with them will get the attention, stimulation, and love our pets need when away from their owners. We highly recommend them.”
