“Ellie had the best stay and did not want to leave! Michele provided exceptional care, did a fantastic job communicating and sent adorable picture updates. We felt like she was staying with a close family friend.”

“Leaving our dog, Mazie with Sandee gives us total peace of mind. She is incredibly reliable and communicative, sending us multiple updates and photos daily. It is comforting to see how happy and relaxed Mazie is in her care. We always return to a happy, healthy dog and feel completely confident that everything is taken care of. We're very grateful that we have found her and highly recommend her to anyone who needs a trustworthy and experienced sitter.”

“Sylvia was great with Tazzy. She was very thorough on our initial meet and great, and had her notes ready when we brought Tazzy for her weekend getaway. We felt very comfortable leaving her in good hands.”

“Megan watched our Charlotte and kept us up-to date with her activities. She cared for Charlotte as if she was her own! This was definitely an upgrade to leaving her at a kennel. Megan is super kind and thoughtful. Our Charlotte loved her vacation so we could, stress free, enjoy ours.”

Your pup(s) is my priority and treated like a member of my family.
“Stephanie was great with Gilly. She was very hands on and affectionate... something Gilly demands!!! She sent lots of pictures throughout the stay and kept me updated. It was very comforting knowing that Gilly was in such great hands.”

“I can tell my dogs felt loved and comfortable at Brooke’s house. The house has a securely fenced-in yard. Brooke kept me updated and reassured me that my sensitive dog Jazzy was not feeling abandoned.”

“Paige was great. She was available on short notice and was accommodating to a weird drop-off time due to bad weather. She was attentive to my animals needs and it was obvious my pup had a great time with her. She sent tons of pictures and videos and gave comprehensive daily updates. I would absolutely recommend this sitter and will be using her again in the future.”

“Jermaine took good care of my 7 year old pit bull for a week. He either updated me first or answered my questions in a timely manner when I asked for updates. I also received some pictures throughout the week of my boy. Overall I had a great experience and will be using Jermaine again!”

“Jenny was absolutely wonderful!!! Our reservation depended on the plans of others and she was very flexible with the changes we had to make. An added bonus was that the doggies were happy. I will definitively select her the next time that we go out of town!”

“Staying with Kelly and her family was perfect for Eva. She and Kelly’s dog, Charlie had a great time together. Just as I had hoped, she was totally wiped out from all the running and playing.”

“She was very communicative and accommodating. She sent good photos and dogs seemed happy and comfortable The dogs came home very tired and lovey so they must’ve enjoyed their vacation. Thank you Teresa ❗️”

“Brenda took great care of my senior dog, Tessa while I was away for 5 days! She provided updates and pictures. Definitely would recommend and I expect to have her watch Tessa again in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Freeman Corner
10/10 recommend booking Yinali to care for your dog! She was such a joy to work with, from our initial communication on Rover, to the meet-and-greet, to all the thoughtful updates while our dog was staying with her and her husband. Our dog has special needs and uses a wheelchair, which can understandably make some sitters hesitant (and makes it hard for us to find him trustworthy care), but Yinali was incredibly accommodating and attentive to his needs. I knew right away that he was in great hands, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We would 100% book with Yinali again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Freeman Corner home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Freeman Corner.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Freeman Corner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
