Dogs have always been part of my family, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I work from home full-time, which means your pup will have plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and outdoor breaks throughout the day — not long stretches alone. My home is in a quiet rural town with a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely explore, play, and relax. I love getting to know each dog’s personality, routines, and comfort needs so they feel right at home here. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers naps and cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive patient, loving care and lots of affection. I know leaving your pet with someone else requires trust, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind with updates, photos, and dependable communication during their stay. Pets get plenty of attention, outdoor time, playtime in my fenced yard, regular potty breaks, and lots of affection throughout the day. Because I have dogs of my own, any visiting dog will have playmates and socialization throughout their stay.

About: I have cared for an owned several breeds of dogs, from chihuahuas to German shepherds! I also have experience caring for cats, and small and exotic animals such as chickens, quail, chinchillas, hamsters, rats, and reptiles. I have the patience to care for puppies and understand the attention and exercise they need! I have extensive experience caring for senior animals - I have cared for all of my animals through their lifespans, additionally I also volunteered at a senior dogs sanctuary when I lived in Kansas City. I have experience with caring for multiple animals with varying needs, such as diet, exercise, and medication. Additionally, I have experience caring for aggressive dogs - specifically food aggression. I understand the importance of offering individualized attention and enrichment activities. I currently have 3 dogs and 1 cat, an 11 year old Chihuahua, a 1 year old German shepherd, and a 15 year old lab mix. I recently relocated to Belen, NM from Kansas City, MO. I am in school studying my Masters in Clinical Counseling and have open availability for drop ins and walks. I will follow any directions left by the client and communicate clearly throughout the service. I will treat any animals I care for with the love I give my own.

About: Hello! My name is Michael, and animals have been a central passion of mine throughout my life. As someone with autism, people are less my forte, but caring and interacting with animals has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a household where everyone was allergic to dander except me, so I got my animal fix by pet-sitting for friends and neighbors—both dogs and cats. I’m used to housesitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I also have some higher education with veterinary assisting, which has come in handy with the animals under my care. I was only able to adopt my cat from a shelter a few years ago, but I am no stranger to all sorts of animals (reptiles, birds, small mammals all included—I have experience with caring for all wide variety of creatures!), all with a wide range of personalities. Every pet is different, and I take care to adapt to each individual’s needs. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I am in the process of applying for disability, during which time I am otherwise available outside of my appointments during the week. Tuesdays are typically my busiest days. I am most available on the weekends, where my days are completely free to devote to your pet(s)! I do not board at my residence, as my cat is an anxious fluffball. However, when it comes to client homes, I like to make sure that your pet’s routine is as familiar as when their pet parent is home. I work to make sure that although their people might be temporarily absent, it is a positive experience and not a devastating waiting period; every animal deserves to be treated with as much attention and care as they need, the more the better. Any particular treats they enjoy, toys, playtime, places to visit on outings, specific times for feedings—all are great information for me to give your pet the experience they deserve.

About: I keep water out all day so they are not thirsty. I feed my dogs once in the morning and then before bed. I take them put multiple times a day either to potty or play but they are always on the leash. I play with them inside also. I'm a big cuddler with pets if the animal will allow me haha. They are allowed on furniture bed or couch does not matter. My daughter is a big animal person too she loves both dogs and cats and will sit there and watch TV with them or even fall asleep on them haha. I have had 6 years of personal experience with animals they have not be consecutively but all together it has been 6 years. Im a stay at home mom so im pretty available aside from the random appointments. I have 3 kids that all love animals and always want to play with our own animals or help feed and water them. They want to be the ones to let them out to potty and feed them. I have a big fenced in yard for the dogs and kids to play and run in. They are allowed on furniture so we all cuddle up on the furniture. I also have some dog toys. I can offer a separate space for those dogs that want to me alone.

About: I've taken care of my dog for a little over 6 years, an extremely anxious rescue. He is well trained and very social. I can work with any sorts of dogs, small and loud, big and reactive, anything in between. Long or short walks. I currently in between jobs and doing some interviews, so I have plenty of time to help take care of your pet as if they were my own! I have one dog who lives in an apartment, but he is very active and socially. We go on at least one 2ish mile walk per day, but he loves playing fetch or with other dogs at the dog park.
