“Highly recommend!! I had to leave for about a week for a wedding and had to leave my puppy with a sitter. I was so nervous to do so since I hadn’t left her for so long. Carol kept me updated and sent images along with them! I am grateful to have a lovely sitter for my beloved puppy. ?”
“Joyce takes great care of our fur baby! We get daily pictures, he enjoys her patio and backyard, love belly rubs and back scratches Joyce gives him. We highly recommend Joyce to take care of your fur baby, she has been great for us, very caring, dependable and reliable. Cooper stood by her when we went to pick him up, don't think he would have mind staying a little longer.”

“This is our second time leaving our babies with Jena. She will always be our first choice!! She treats our babies like they are her own and I know they are in excellent care when we are out of town. Our Rosie needed to be given medicine, including injections while we were out of town. Jena had no problem taking care of this and keeping us updated!”

“I appreciate Savannah so much for watching my baby while we went away on a trip. This was my first time EVER leaving Brownie with anyone that long. We just relocated to Youngsville so I scrambled to find someone to watch her while we were gone & I couldn’t have chosen anyone better. Savannah did so good with Brownie. I wanted to make sure I chose someone that would care about her in the same manner I do. She gave lots of cuddles, play time, and personal care as she started her “period” the day we were dropping her off to Savannah. She didn’t have any issues with changing her diapers or anything. She’s awesome with communication! I received so many pics & videos while out of town, so that really put me at ease. Thank you again Savannah for loving on Brownie girl. We will book with you again for our next getaway.”

“Chelsy does it again!! She watched my dog Stormi when I went out of town for a week. She sent me pictures and videos daily and answered super fast when texted. I also came home early from my trip due to the hurricane and she was extremely flexible and helpful when navigating this tough choice. She is the only person I trust with my pup other than family.”

About: As a pet owner myself, I have experience with how to keep feeding routines, administer meds, walks, playtime, potty breaks, grooming and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I’m currently working remotely and part time. This leaves me plenty of time to care for pets on weekdays and weekends, throughout the day. Early mornings and late evenings are no problem. We have a private fenced in yard for those that need ample activity. Pets are cared for in the home but also have their own room for when they need a quiet corner.

“Marqita was amazing with Lacey. Lacey was comfortable in her home. There were no issues at all. Marqita sent me pictures and videos everyday and updated me on Lacey's well being.. She was very patient and I highly recommend!”

“Sarai was amazing and professional. She was very welcoming and listened to everything you had to say. She sent me pictures all the time of Roscoe. Roscoe definitely loves being with her and her dog. I would definitely be booking Sarai again.”

“Khya was excellent with caring for my fur baby. She communicated quickly and keep me up to date with photos during the stay. We will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

“We stumbled upon Courtney last minute before our trip to Rosemary beach. We had interviewed our 7mo old puppy for Camp Bow Wow the day prior and we’re just horrified that anyone would board their dog there. Courtney was super quick to respond to our messages and gave us lots of info about her and her services over the phone. When we did a meet and greet the next day, our pup vibes with her and her son immediately!! They had a clean home and BIG pet friendly backyard. After meeting her in person we knew they were the perfect option for our pup while we were away. Maverick (our dog) had a cough before we dropped him off with Courtney, and his symptoms just got worse. Courtney took him to the emergency vet for us on a Sunday and made sure he was properly seen and cared for! She’s gone so out of her way to treat our boy like her own and it really shows! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a safe, reliable, communicative and loving place for their dog to stay while they are away! Thank you Courtney!”

“I felt so secure leaving Oso with JC! She communicated perfectly, always responded in a timely manner, sent photos and updates on how he was getting along with others. I will 100% be bringing Oso back to her whenever I travel. Usually Oso can’t get away quick enough from people that watch him, but he hung around and wanted her to pet him when she came to drop him off. She has such good energy, very knowledgeable about all dogs, and I could tell Oso felt like he went on vacation with her!”

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Freeland.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
