Kristin was a great caregiver for our 11 year old dog who tends to be very anxious when she’s in a new environment. She was very caring and nurturing with our girl and sent us updates and pictures while we were away. We highly recommend her to care for your fur baby!

Jody is so sweet and took such good care of Koda. He got lots of love from her and her family. When we picked him up he seemed like he didn’t even want to go home, he was enjoying it so much. She even washed his doggie bed.♥️ Jody’s location is perfect for us since we need to pass her house on the way to the airport. We will definitely choose Jody again to take care of our Koda.

My regular Rover sitter was unavailable so I carefully read through the profiles of other Rover sitters. Lenore caught my eye because she is the dog owner of the same breed as my dogs. I texted her and she responded immediately. She was very friendly and we spoke on the phone. She made me feel very comfortable about leaving my pups with her. My dogs don’t get to socialize much with other dogs and this was the perfect opportunity. She texted me pics of my pups and communicated with me regularly. I along with my pups are very pleased and will be using Lenore again…???

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 14 years old for neighbors, family, etc. I've always had several pups in my home at a time because they're my little babies. All of my dogs have been very well trained and follow directions extremely well! I'm currently a full time student but all my classes are scheduled for Tue/Thurs, and I work part time from home on my off days as a lash tech. I make my own schedule so I have PLENTY of free time to care for your pups! Because I am home all week for the most part I hang out with the dogs all day everyday so no need to worry about your fur baby getting lonely! We'll cuddle and watch tv. Regular potty breaks are taken, my two dogs are on a bathroom schedule, they go first thing in the morning, once or twice in the afternoon, and once before bed. Other pups that I have taken care of seem to catch on to our schedule very quickly and have no problems with it! If there is a time where I do need to leave to go do a grocery pick up or anything like that I let the dogs sleep on the couch while I'm gone, but I do have a crate present just in case I do need to put the pup up if they don't do well being left out of the crate with no supervision.

I'm just back after 3 days away for a New Years getaway. I left my girl Mila with Kristen and her beautiful dog Aleutia. No one told me I'd miss my dog this much... But Kristen must have known, she sent me pics of Mila and updates and really put my heart at ease. Thank you Kristen, cheers, until we see you guys again.

A great dog sitter, would definitely book again, always available to communicate. I got pictures of my sweet dog during the duration of her stay. But the most important thing was that my dog was happy and wanted to continue to play with Karl’s dogs when leaving. This made me feel that she was so comfortable being there at his house with his dogs.

About: Hi there! I’m a passionate, lifelong animal lover back in Tehachapi Alpine Forest! Growing up, I gained hand-on experience with both small and big dogs, so I am entirely comfortable and confident handling pups of all shapes and sizes. Over the years, I’ve provided trusted pet sitting for friends and family, and I even turned my love for animals into a professional, paid service while stationed in Germany. At home, I’m a proud pet parent to two wonderful cats and live with and also take care of two frenchies, so I completely understand the love, patience, and attention to detail it takes to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable. Whether your dog needs a high-energy walk, some cozy companionship, or specific routine care, I will treat them with the exact same love and devotion I give my own. With my summer entirely open and a flexible hybrid college schedule during the school year, I have the perfect routine to give your pets the dedicated time and attention they deserve. Because I’m not locked into a 9-to-5, I can easily accommodate mid-day check-ins, specific feeding routines, and consistent playtime schedules that keep your cats or dogs happy and relaxed. I go to class from 6-9pm one day every other week during the school year, and on my hybrid class days, I can study right alongside your pets, providing that constant companionship. You can rest assured that my schedule allows me to be highly reliable and completely focused on maintaining your pet's normal daily routine with an overnight stay or check ins! I provide all of my pet care services exclusively within the comfort and familiarity of the client's home, as my own household is already fully occupied by my own pets. When staying at or visiting your home, I always make sure my care to almost mirrors your pet's established daily routine, whether that means adhering to precise feeding schedules, managing litter box maintenance, or providing dedicated interactive playtime. I am able to give your pets personalized attention in the space :)

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
