About: I have loved and cared for animals my entire life which as provided me with extensive experience in ensuring their needs are met and their energy is matched. The safety, happiness, and enrichment of each pet under my care is at the top of my priorities. I am currently approaching my third year at VCU and have been doing routine dog walking for some family friends the entire time I’ve been enrolled. I have built my schedules while having time for pet care and taking walks in mind. My ability to read the personality and cues of pets is quite good and I use that to my advantage when coming into their space and interacting with them. I also have experienced multiple scenarios where I needed to protect my dog walking dog from someone else’s off leash pet, and have been able to do so while de-escalating the situation.

“Shelley was very patient with our ever changing travel plans, and sent photos during each visit! The only thing I'd change would be to get a short written summary as well as photos. Thanks again!”

About: Growing up with two dogs and two cats, I developed a lifelong love for animals and a passion for caring for them. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience walking and caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’ve never met one that didn’t warm up to me. In addition to personal pet care, I have fostered dogs and cats, where I ensured they both received the exercise, attention, and care they needed to stay healthy and happy. For the past six years on Rover, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of pets, and I’ve learned that every animal is unique, it’s important to take the time to understand their individual needs and personalities. I pride myself on being reliable, organized, and an excellent communicator. I’ve never missed a booking, and I make it a priority to keep owners updated through detailed Rover cards, so you always know how your pet is doing. My flexible schedule allows me to accommodate walks or visits at the time that works best for you. Most importantly, I’m committed to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I’m excited to meet both you and your pet, and I look forward to building a bond with them! I am currently a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University and have plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for animals and making sure they receive the attention they need. Alongside my studies, I work part-time as a Housing Office Assistant, but spending time with pets is always the highlight of my week. I currently live in a house with three fellow students, and we share a fenced-in backyard as well as a gated front porch—both of which provide safe spaces for pets to enjoy fresh air and playtime. My home is welcoming, and I make sure that any pet in my care feels comfortable and secure, whether we’re indoors relaxing or outside getting exercise. I take pride in being respectful and responsible in every home I visit. I always make sure to clean up after myself and any pets in my care, maintaining a positive, safe, and clean environment for both pets and their owners. Clear communication is also a priority for me, I believe keeping owners updated and informed is the best way to ensure your pet receives the highest level of care possible and the best service possible for owners

“Casie has taken care of my two dogs on a couple occasions and we like (1) the communication (2) the pictures (3) that our dogs are comfortable. We will definitely book again when we need backup care!”

“Claire was FANTASTIC! She stopped over for a meet and greet prior to coming for the visit to meet them! Played and gave them a snack! Much appreciated! Loved getting the cute pics during the visit!”

“Jazmine did an amazing job watching our 11 year old chocolate lab. She was always right on time, gave great updates, and (at our request) spent extra time with him at her discretion. She was such a reliable and inviting person, and it made our vacation so much more enjoyable knowing our lab was taken care of! We will definitely be using Jazmine from here on out!”

About: Ever since I was 6 years old, I’ve been taking care of dogs, and I always enjoy meeting new friends and making sure they feel loved! No matter how big or small and how much attention they require, I’m ready to give them the treatment they deserve! I’m currently between jobs, so I’m available much of the time, with a lot of flexibility. For schedule changes, I’d prefer if they were stated in advance, but I’m pretty open to stuff otherwise! Here, I have a Boston Terrier-Pug mix named Bolo. He gets along with most dogs, but he’s fairly energetic and likes to play. We have a spacious yard, though the fence is open, so we usually leash Bolo and can do the same for your dog. If you want a pet sitter at your place, just let me know precisely how they should be treated and where everything will be located, and I’ll give it 120%!

“Miranda was amazing with the doggos! She was always on time for them, called and communicated great with questions and info, and sent awesome pictures of the dogs playing while we were away. She is definitely recommended.”

“Lillie was prompt and easy to communicate with. She did a wonderful job with our large dog and sent pictures and updates. He seemed very happy with her visits and she did a great job. I would definitely recommend Lillie!”

“Ash was so great! Going above and beyond to make sure our fur baby was taken care of! She communicated well with us and made sure our pet was loved! She really took the extra time to make sure our pet was safe and happy while we were on vacation. We could not recommend her enough!”

About: I’m a former veterinary technician with lifelong animal care experience. I treat every dog like family—attentive, loving, protective, and always focused on their comfort and safety. Whether your baby needs medication, extra patience, or just lots of belly rubs, I’m here to help. I’m confident with senior dogs, special needs pets, and all kinds of temperaments. You’ll get regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your fur child is in experienced, caring hands. I’d love to care for your pup like one of my own! I also do brushing, massages, baths & nail trims (upon request). Whether it is daytime or overnight, I would love for your baby to spend time with me & my family in our safe, calm, pet-friendly, fun, welcoming environment. I have a large fenced in yard and 2 fur babies of my own to keep your baby company (one small chihuahua-mix & one small senior cat). My dog makes the perfect play-buddy because he is a very silly, interactive & playful pup.
