About: My experience into dog care started 9 years ago, and my time working with cats started less than a year later. My experience of both dogs with a hyper or dissociative personality and felines with bad temperament was mostly gained while working at various animal shelters. Some shelter dogs and cats are not temperamental on their own but sometimes will instinctively react to those who are being the aggressors, as is their nature. it's often very similar at dog parks- A Gathering of many unknown dogs, some likely to be reactive to others and always a few having chance of causing a fight. Something I keep in mind for safety every time I have an interaction with a dog I don't know while walking someone else's that I was entrusted the care of, is that other animals I don't know will always be unpredictable. Outside my charity work for shelters, for an even longer amount of time I've taken care of pets of many ages and breeds for family/friends going on 9 years now. I have handled many large breeds; Labradors, Huskies, Great Danes, German Shepards, Mastiffs. I have also worked with various medium and small sized breeds. My total 2 years of experience with puppies was spread out caring for and helping raise pups my sister had gotten. Between raising puppies and trying to work with pets giving me a hard time during the course of my many dog sitting jobs I have seen and learnt countless things about our furry friends! To list a few; common dog and cat habits, nutrition, toxic foods for dogs, signs of aggressive body language in pets, and abnormal behavior alongside possible causes. Any and all pet needs such as sitting, walking, etc. I'm available to do every day of the week, as I have a clear schedule for the time being. When at a client's house, if instructions are not already given to me I will ask the owner's typical routine with their pet and see what they want or need done for their dog or cat. I'd Also ask general house rules like backyard access, and if I could entertain the fuzzy friends with toys for enrichment.

About: What sets me apart is my professional veterinary background combined with a lifetime of hands-on animal experience. I grew up on a farm caring for livestock, which gave me an early understanding of animal behavior, responsibility, and the importance of attentive daily care. In addition to dogs and cats, I’m experienced with exotics and understand the specialized husbandry they require. I’m also confident supporting senior pets who need medication or mobility assistance, as well as juveniles who benefit from structure and close supervision. From recognizing subtle signs of illness to providing compassionate, individualized care, I offer not just love and companionship—but knowledgeable, safety-focused support tailored to every stage of life. Pet care is already a central part of my daily routine. I currently work at an emergency veterinary clinic from 4pm–1am, which means my mornings and early afternoons are fully dedicated to my own pets and available for client visits, walks, and check-ins. My schedule allows me to provide consistent daytime care, medication administration, enrichment, and detailed updates before heading into work. At home, I care for two dogs and four cats, so structured feeding schedules, exercise, litter maintenance, and individualized attention are part of my everyday life. Working in emergency medicine has also strengthened my ability to recognize subtle changes in behavior or health and respond appropriately. Because animal care is both my profession and my lifestyle, incorporating client pets into my weekly routine feels natural, organized, and intentional — not rushed or secondary. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. During drop-in visits and walks, I follow your pet’s established schedule for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, litter box maintenance, and enrichment. I tailor each visit to your pet’s age, temperament, and energy level — whether that means an active walk, structured playtime, or calm companionship. With my veterinary background, I closely monitor behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall wellness during every visit. I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, topical, or injectable if needed) and supporting senior pets, juveniles, or pets with medical needs. I also offer basic bathing and light grooming when requested. Clear communication is important to me, so I provide detailed updates and photos after each visit to ensure you feel confident and connected while you’re away. About: I always considered myself a "cat person," but when I was 15, my dad adopted a mini Australian Shepherd named Oscar. He was a smart, loving, albeit anxious pup, and I wanted to be with him all the time. Whenever I visited my dad, I loved helping him train and play with Oscar. That was when I really understood dogs as companion animals, and that concept alone helped me become a more patient person. When I was attending college in Rhode Island, I started caring for my friends' pets in their homes whenever they went away for a family trip. It was an awesome time for me to reset and hang out with their cats or dogs since I was unable to have a pet of my own where I was living at the time. During the Covid lockdown until around 2022, I became a live-in pet sitter for my landlady's dog and cats whenever she needed to go between properties. After that, I helped take care of my then roommate's 12-year-old Chocolate Lab and her new Visla-mix puppy after I got home from work in the evenings since she worked late. After years of caring for cats and dogs at home and loving to see my friends' pets whenever we hung out, I only learned about using Rover as a service tool in 2023. Working from home gives me flexibility and the opportunity to stay in my clients' homes while taking care of and supporting their pets full-time. My current schedule is very flexible. I'm a freelance and contract artist, and recently I've been working with the local arts council here in New Bern by hosting drawing sessions every two weeks. Most of my time is spent at home—where I help my grandparents—or at the arts council. To tell you a little more about me: I’m in my late 30s, I'm neurodivergent, and I identify as queer. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, watching animated films, and reading various types of comics. My foremost concern is making sure that you and your pet(s) feel safe with me there and that I am as consistent with their typical routine. In order for me to provide the best care I can, I only ask for a simple task list or feeding plan (either printed out or sent electronically, such as a PDF or Apple Note, etc.) on how to care for your pet and WiFi access. I do my best to be as transparent as possible in an easy, concise, and straight-forward way. Otherwise, I will happily try to accommodate any need for extra communication or photos to send you while you are away. That being said, please make note of the following: - Please do not underreport your pets. - If there is a pet that is not technically owned by you but still resides on your property, it is assumed during the booking process that you are the caretaker of that pet, as I will be responsible for taking care of that pet unless there have been other outside accommodations made. I maintain the right to adjust my rates accordingly. - If there is sufficient evidence for me to believe that any animal within your household and/or property is in need of any care beyond a bare minimum of "feeding and providing water"—especially any pets that have not been properly listed in your bio—I maintain the right to adjust my rates accordingly after our initial meet & greet. - Please divulge any and all indoor and outdoor monitoring systems in which you frequently access remotely. It is your fundamental obligation as the "homeowner," "client," or otherwise, to report any and all monitoring devices inside and outside of your home as well as the frequency with which you will access them remotely. By hiring me as an independent contractor, I maintain my right to object to any remote monitoring by any recording device used in your home while you are not present. - If you have ANY questions or concerns further about using monitoring devices, etc., I am more than happy to discuss them with you during our meet & greet!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I can remember I have such a soft spot for animals especially pups. My family has always had lots of dogs through the years we currently have 6. I have always enjoyed taking care of my family and neighbors dogs. I’m currently working part time which means I will have lots of free time to take care of your pups. I am available for dog sitting on the weekends and week days after 2. I can do drop in anytime after 2 on week days and weekends. I can dog walk anytime after two on week days and weekends. I have 6 dogs of my own and they are all very loved and taken care of. I have lots of experience with dogs and can assure you your pup is safe with me. I have practice feeding, walking, and training dogs.

About: I respect all animals, and have a particular love for cats and kittens. I’ve taken care of puppies, cats, and reptiles for over five years. I can be relied on to look after your pet… feed them, play with them, do a little pet yoga, and keep an eye on them for you. I’ll have plenty of time to be with your pet and give them one on one attention. I work part time and work from home. I have a dedicated space for my pet guests, giving them leisure of my living room area and there is a large gated space in the back of my residence if your pet needs outside time.
