About: I grew up with multiple cats and dogs so I’ve been around them my whole life. I currently own 2 cats of my own so I know what it’s like when trusting someone else with your fur babies. With the proper instructions I can deliver meds or even take a mountain of photos for updates with the fur kiddos, just lmk. I work in the evenings during the week so I’m free most weekends. During the week I can do anytime in the morning to middle afternoon. I have 2 cats that I love with my whole heart and have certain instructions for so I get it when other people have preferences of their own. As long as they are communicated I will do everything in my power to uphold them and if I can’t I would get in touch with the owner and come up with a game plan.

About: I genuinely love animals and treat every pet like royalty, even the dachshunds who judge from across the room! I’m big on play time, cuddles, walks and making sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away! I do currently work full time, but am remote 3 out of the 5 days a week making it easy to check in on your beloved pets at any time! My 7 year old lab, and 4 year old dachshund are treated not as pets, but as my children. They are literal humans if you ask me!

Beth was amazing! Our fur baby instantly fell in love with her. She was prompt for every walk. After the second walk Bella was actually sitting by the window looking for her next visit, super cute :) She sent detailed information and pictures from each stroll. Highly recommend Beth for any petsitting needs.

Areaonia took great care of my dog while I was gone. She received all of her prescribed medicines and the long walks I had requested, and the Rover cards were detailed with lots of photos. I trust Areaonia to care for my dog again in the future!

Rachel is fantastic! She’s prompt, reliable, and very good with my dog, Delilah. She takes Delilah on, at least, a 1 mile walk each afternoon. Great to have my dog getting the exercise, and chance to do her business, while I recover from surgery. Thanks, Rachel!

About: I have had dogs of my own over the past 10 years, and have looked after several family and friend's dogs and cats many times. They have relied on me to walk, feed and house sit for their fur babies. I'm reliable and trustworthy. I have a very flexible schedule and can pop in for a quick visit or walk, or I can stay in your home for a longer term. Pets generally need a good amount of attention. I can bring calm comfort to an anxious or tired pet or go on a rigorous walk with a more rambunctious pet.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been a passion of mine. My experience includes working at a veterinary hospital and completing schooling as a veterinary assistant, giving me hands-on knowledge of pet health and care. I treat every pet that comes into my home as if they were my own, providing them with love, patience, and individualized attention. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, visiting the park or dog park (with the owner’s permission), and making sure they receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. My daughters are also animal lovers and enjoy having pets in our home. They understand the importance of being gentle and respectful, helping create a welcoming, family-oriented environment where pets can feel safe and comfortable. In addition to daily care, I’m experienced in administering oral medications and injections when prescribed, as well as providing basic grooming services such as baths and nail trims. My goal is to give every pet the same level of care, comfort, and attention I’d want for my own, while giving pet parents peace of mind that their furry family member is in caring, capable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I plan my day around the pets in my care to ensure they receive timely meals, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. Whether I’m providing boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walks, I make it a priority to maintain each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their furry family members are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. Boarding (my home): Pets staying in my home are treated like family. They receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, regular potty breaks, fresh water, meals according to their schedule, and a safe, clean, comfortable environment. I work to maintain their normal routine to help them feel relaxed and at home. House Sitting (client’s home): I care for pets in the comfort of their own home while maintaining their regular routine. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after pets, and providing companionship. I also respect and care for the home by bringing in mail, watering plants if requested, and keeping everything tidy. Drop-In Visits: During each visit, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, playtime, affection, and a quick wellness check. I also send updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing. Dog Walking: Every walk is tailored to the dog’s energy level and needs. I prioritize safety by using secure leashes and harnesses, provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, ensure access to water when needed, and wipe paws after walks if requested. I always monitor pets closely for signs of stress, fatigue, or discomfort. No matter which service I provide, my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind through dependable care and regular communication.

About: Hi there! I’m Z, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a deep understanding of both cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs and have a wonderful cat of my own. I also have years of experience caring for the pets of both my family and friends. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or ensuring your pet sticks to their routine, I treat every furry friend like they’re part of my own family. As someone who works part-time during the day, I have the flexibility to provide pet care in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. My schedule allows me to plan drop-in visits, walks, or playtime around your pet’s needs. Caring for animals is a natural part of my routine since I already care for my own cat. Whether it’s an early-morning visit before work or evening cuddles, I’m happy to adapt to ensure your pet feels loved and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, loved, and happy in their familiar surroundings. I stick to their established routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, playtime, or walks, to keep things consistent and comforting for them. For dogs, that might mean exciting walks or outdoor play, while cats might prefer quiet companionship or engaging with their favorite toys. I make sure their environment stays clean and safe, and I’m happy to administer medications or meet any special needs. Along with meeting their physical needs, I give plenty of cuddles and attention to help them feel secure and loved. I treat every pet like part of my own family, ensuring they’re well cared for until their owner returns.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every animal. I don’t believe in simply stopping by to feed and leave. I take the time to build trust, learn each pet’s routine, and make sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, high energy breeds, and multi pet households. I’m also comfortable caring for farm animals such as chickens, goats, rabbits, and other small livestock. Whether your pet needs an active walk, medication, extra patience, or just plenty of love and attention, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs. My goal is for you to return home to a happy, healthy pet and have complete confidence that they were treated like family every step of the way. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine, not something I try to fit in between other commitments. I intentionally schedule my day to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication, potty breaks, or simply keeping them company, I make sure their routine stays as consistent as possible. I believe consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable, especially while their owners are away, and I always strive to provide a calm, dependable, and stress free experience for both pets and their families. Every pet has different needs, so I tailor my care to match their normal routine and your instructions. In your home, I work to keep your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible by following their feeding routine, providing exercise, playtime, potty breaks, medication if needed, and plenty of companionship. I also respect your home by keeping it clean, bringing in mail or packages if requested, watering plants, and making sure everything is secure while you’re away. When pets stay in my home, they are treated like part of the family. They receive regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, and lots of attention in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I provide updates with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for throughout their stay.

About: Hi!! I am a rising sophomore at ECU and my family and I just moved to Garner from New York. I am looking for dog care jobs over my summer break so I am available all day every day until I go back to school. I am a morning person and like starting my days quite early so any of you need anything in the morning, I would love to help! I absolutely adore dogs and everything about them! Any time there is one in the room I am drawn to it and it gets my undivided love and attention. Most of my family and friends call me the dog whisperer because all dogs love me too! I have been sitting for a little over two years and have experience with all ages, sizes and breeds. I love being outside and active, and going on walks is one of my favorite things to do. I also don’t mind picking up after the dogs. (Someones gotta do it lol). My family has had 2 dogs of our own but both are no longer with us anymore. They were my built in best friends and most of the time I enjoyed their company over my family’s. I have so much free time on my hands that I can work with as many that I possibly can! I like being up early and don’t mind being out all day. I can keep your gates and doors locked while we are inside. Make sure the dog is always on a leash before opening a door for a walk.

About: Growing up we always had lots of dogs, cats, and even livestock. For many years we had over 7 dogs to which i cared for at one time. including a recent puppy that we purchased and have since potty-trained and trained to do things like retrieving I currently am enrolled at a local community college so my schedule is pretty open on days except Mondays and Wednesdays which are pretty much free after 3pm. I love to play with dogs and cats. Especially taking them out to get exercise wether that be walking, throwing the ball, or even just playing with toys as I am a very active person myself. So very many "potty breaks" will be taken to ensure your home stays clean!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Fort Barnwell. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 90% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
