“Samantha did an excellent job with drop in visits for my 5 dogs. Communication was excellent. She provided daily updates and photos, and I came home to happy dogs. My dogs felt very comfortable with her. I already have her booked for another week.”

“Tina was fabulous! She took great care of our dog while we were away. Due to some bad weather we came home early and Tina was super flexible! Will definitely use again!”

“Nikki was awesome!! We are very new to using a service to help with our pets, but Nikki has made the experience a very positive one. She sent lots of pictures and a thorough update on how my little sweetie was doing. It helped put me at ease. We will definitely be reaching out to her in the future for any help we may need.”

“Alysha is the best! This has been a busy out of town season for us as we travel frequently to watch our daughter compete at college swim meets. Alysha has been there for us and we could not be more thankful for her care of Lola while we are away.”

“Anna T. was absolutely wonderful ❤️ She was so kind to all of us. She was immediately able to connect with our ginger 3 year old boy. Updates were prompt and detailed. She proactively asked great questions at our intro meeting.”

“Robin did an amazing job with my dogs. She was patient, kind, and took great care of them during her drop-in visits. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate sitter!”

“Tori was absolutely fantastic! She jumped in to help last minute when I unexpectedly adopted a dog and even came the same day to meet so she knew where everything would be. I'm so grateful for her flexibility and support. Communication was fantastic and she adapted to my new dog's needs. Highly recommend!”

About: Caring for others (especially animals) is truly my passion! I was a nanny for over 5 years which opened me up to pet care as well. Since most families I worked for had pets, I took on the responsibility of caring for them as well as their children. Hi there! Just a little bit about me! Caring for others (especially animals) is genuinely my passion! I was a nanny for over four years which opened me up to pet care as well. Since most families I worked for had pets, I took on the responsibility of caring for them as well as their children. I do not work outside of the home which means I can dedicate all of my time to your pet! I usually take one booking at a time, so if your pet doesn’t get along with other pets that’s no problem.
“We had such a great experience with Aubrey! Before we ever left, she took the time to come over and meet our cats, which meant so much to us. She asked thoughtful questions, paid attention to their personalities, and made sure she understood their routines and preferences. It immediately put us at ease knowing she cared enough to build that connection ahead of time. Our cats were comfortable and well cared for, and it was clear they recognized her when she came back. We truly appreciated the extra effort and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate cat sitter.”

“Ian was great to work with! He was able to help out with multiple visits during a last-minute emergency. He was on time, clearly communicated, and gave my dog plenty of love and attention! 10/10 would use Ian again for future needs!”

“So thankful to had fou d Shannon. We are new to the area and love that our little buddy can get a mid-day potty break and some fresh air. She took time to meet our fur baby in advance and understand his needs. Beyond that she goes above and beyond to make sure our buddy is happy and spoiled with each visit. Thank you Shannon for your exceptional care and trusting nature.”

About: I've always grown up living around pets and animals of any kind, grew up with farm animals and household pets, lots of experience with both large and small dogs, and plenty of experience with cats. I currently have 3 cats at my home, and I love spending time with dogs as well. I've worked with both young and old cats and dogs as well! I also have experience with disabled pets (one of my dogs was a rescue that lost a leg in an accident). My partner works full time as a manager at a local pizza place in Stoughton, so they might come and go a bit for work, but I work from home and am able to stay in the home with your animals when and as needed. I work from home as a digital artist, so my schedule is completely open and flexible, and I can fit in pet care at any time that might be needed. I am very open to working around any specific care needs your fur family might need, and can work around your wants and needs for your pets care in and out of your home!

About: I have always had a dog in my house growing up, so i understand the basics of dog care. Currently I work at a dog daycare. I've been working there for 2 years and it has helped me understand more about dog behaviors, and care for them efficiently and effectively. Before that I volunteered at the Jefferson Humane Society for 3 years helping clean out animal cages/rooms and providing affection to all the rescued animals. I'm looking for extra work during the summer in between my internship and job. Internship is 3 days a week, job is 2. So I don't have a bunch of time but I do have some open hours where I can do dog walks and some daycare shifts. I have a lot of experience with a variety of dogs and their behaviors. I can create dogs when needed and can walk dogs without any issues.
About: Currently, I own three dogs. I've owned dogs in the past as well. I am trustworthy, I feed and take care of my pets all day. I take my dogs on a walk every morning and afternoon. Three times a week, I will take them to the local dog park. I volunteer at my local humane society. I've been asked to take care of different pets multiple times. I make sure to complete every task and responsibility I am given no matter what they involve. What sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is I have a connection to any animal I meet. The dogs I meet are always very friendly to me. People can always depend on me to take care of their pets.
About: I have been dog sitting/house sitting for 16 years. I love all animals and have owned dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve taken care of up to 3 dogs and 2 cats at once so I’m comfortable with many animals. I enjoy dog walking, great way to burn off their energy or taking them to the dog park if ok with owners. I don’t mind grooming or bathing dogs. I live in an apartment so I can take care of up to 2-3 dogs per day/night. I am very flexible to the type of training per owner, just let me know your preference. I have two cats myself so the dogs would have to be ok with them otherwise there is a separate room I can put them in for the day, nights would not work unfortunately. I’m in school currently for veterinarian and would love a small side job for extra cash. I currently work 1p-8:30p so I would be able to walk/drop in early and mid mornings and late evenings. I don’t work weekends so if you need a getaway I can watch over your babies so you can relax! I have a large yard, not fenced in but have a 200ft zip line leash. I have two extra bedrooms if your pet needs some alone time. My husband and I have one dog who is 7 months and loves to play. I am very comfortable with specific needs for your pets. My goal is to make them comfortable in my home or yours.
About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and have experience in pet sitting and the veterinary field for the past 20 years. I owned a pet sitting business for 5 years (2008 - 2012) and experience in general practice, emergency, specialty, and shelter medicine. Having a medical background allows me to pick up on medical issues and emergencies in a timely fashion, allowing for treatment if necessary. I am also able to administer medications as needed. I treat others' dogs the same way I treat my own pets and keep daily routines as close to their normal as much as possible. I work full time at a clinic and part time at the local humane society. I am available limited days during the week for walks and drop in services. Please see the calendar for up to date availability! I discuss your pets routine with you so I can keep it the same as possible during my visits. This helps keep your pet's schedule uninterrupted and allows for calmer and happier experiences!
About: I've had dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes over the last 3 decades. Currently, I have two pups—Aggie and Parker, 4 and 12 years old. I am an animal person and don't mind any part of running, walking, or cleaning up after them. I have experience with training animals and always prioritize your rules and ways of taking care of your fur baby. I work remotely from home, along with my husband. There is always someone at home, it's rare for us both to be out at the same time. We have experience in dog sitting dogs with anxiety or co-dependency (our own dog has anxiety) so we do our best to alleviate any stress your pup may have while you are gone, and in addition, can send as many photos as you need of them while they stay with us! Bonus: I'm a professional photographer, so you may get some pretty cute snaps. :)

Samantha was so caring and attentive to my guys while I was gone!! She sent lovely pics of them and let me know how they were doing every day. My scaredy cat even came out and loved on her! She took care of everything so well and left me coming home to them happy, content, and their world freshened for the day so that I could walk in and just love on them. Thank you so much, Samantha!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Atkinson. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
