“Ria is an awesome pet sitter! She did such a great job with Chacco, even with all his crazy puppy energy. I really liked that she does a meet-and-greet before the visits to get to know the pets and owners. She’s super warm, friendly, flexible, and just overall great!”

“Carolynn was an awesome sitter for our cat, Penny. She stayed 45 minutes per visit, and sent thorough updates and pictures every day. She even moved in packages from our doorstep so they were secure. Thanks Carolynn!”

“Can’t say enough! Rebecca was so accommodating when my plans changed (family medical.) She was so good to come for a meet and greet. She came to feed, and gave Fitch insulin twice a day…and upon my return he was healthy snd happy. She sent pictures of my content cat twice a day…even spoiled him with cat nip. I won’t worry about having to go out of town again with Rebecca caring for Fitch. She was wonderful!!”

“Heather was great with our kitty. She was able to take over on short notice while we were away and our original sitter unexpectedly had to go out of state while we were away. She kept us informed as to how things were going and sent pics from every visit. It’s been great to be able to leave our kitty in such caring hands. We would recommend Heather if you’re looking for a caring person to care for your pets.”

“Here again with another review! My dog Hank decided to have GI problems while Ella was visiting and had an accident in his crate. She went above and beyond making sure he felt safe and cared for after the accident and cleaned up as much as she could and went by the instructions I gave her. Definitely a repeat customer as long as she’ll have Hank and I 😊”

“I wasn’t going to be home during the day for about a week, and Pamela came to check on biscuit for me Monday through Friday! I asked at the last minute and she was still willing to help. Thanks Pamela, you’re a lifesaver!”

“Liz was great! This was my first time ever using a pet sitting service and she made it a breeze. I have both a cat and a hedgehog and she agreed to take care of him too! She offered to come visit my animals before I would leave so she could meet them which I really appreciated. 🐾”

“Omg Michelle is the best ever!!! My little dog is afraid of everything and she made sure he felt safe and secure. My German shepherd loved her too and enjoyed their time together. I will definitely be using Michelle again. If I could give 100 stars I would!!!!!!”

“Ask the right questions to be able to care for my dogs. Both dogs seemed to enjoy his visits and looked very happy in the pics Triston sent. The visit went well enough to have Triston be our main person to watch our dogs.”

About: My son and i decided we wanted to create a pet sitting business! We love dogs (have 3 of our own) and would love to watch your babies! We have a senior lady at home so would be willing to watch your mature friend, and have had so many puppies we’d watch them too and even do a little training in between :) I work from home so have plenty of free time to visit your babies or care for them in my home! We also have 3 friendly furry friends for them to play with! I have a large fenced in yard, large garage and 3 fur children to keep them company! I also have all my own supplies if needed

About: Hi there, and thanks for checking out my profile! I’ve been on Rover for about a year and primarily take on housesitting roles or keep pets in my home, but I also have long term walking clients. I’m here because I genuinely love animals and have years of accumulated animal experience that really lends itself well to creating happy clients. I've had pets of all shapes and sizes since the 7th grade when I turned my dog into my science fair project (The Effect of Rewards on Dog Training). Since then, I've done obedience classes with one of my pups, worked with Australian Shepherd and Doberman rescue as a transporter and foster mom, and walked many miles with some cute pooches. I'm currently mom to one male cat, an Holland Lop, and one very typical male Golden Retriever. OH--and a seven year old human boy! I’m experienced in difficult animal behaviors such as separation anxiety and mild aggression towards other animals, potty training, medical emergencies (I am NOT clinically trained, but I’ve been through a lot of vet appointments between my pets and the rescues), and giving medication. I’m also a farmer and floral designer by trade, so I might covertly care for your houseplants as well. My work schedule is flexible, and I often work from home. I determine my own work schedule, so I can accommodate pet care most days and times. I’m very careful about not overcommitting myself, particularly when it comes to taking responsibility for other people’s pets. I offer in-home care for cat- and kid-friendly pups who get along well with other animals. Ollie the Golden Retriever will be sure to keep your dog well-entertained. He is 5 years old and still very "puppy," but ultimately, he’s a chill Golden to his core. The cat loves Ollie but are typically unimpressed by all other creatures. The rabbit rules the house.

About: I’ve had dogs in my family my whole life, puppy-sat others pets, lived with the most adorable cats and now I have two weenie dogs of my own! My pups are the most important part of my life and trusting someone else with them can be nerve wracking so I love sending tons of pics/updates to keep parents at ease. I work Monday through Friday 8-5 but I could do drop in visits before and after work, sometimes even during lunch depending on the location! Depending on what you’re looking for I can stop by to spend some time with them in your yard or take them on a walk around the neighborhood! Feel free to reach out and I’m happy to answer any specific questions!

About: With over a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, I provide more than just sitting and walking!! I offer genuine companionship and a safe, loving environment tailored to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy who needs structure and play, a senior dog who requires patience and extra TLC, or anything in between, I’m here to make sure your furry friend feels comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away! I currently work 5am-1pm. I am completely free after 1pm. I am a very active person and love to be outside especially walking. On the weekends I am typically completely free! Or If you just need someone to keep your dog company and give them some love I am the person for you. Your dog’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I create a calm, structured environment where every pup feels secure, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs! I closely follow all care instructions, keep a watchful eye during walks or playtime, and maintain a clean space at all times. Over the past 10 years, I’ve built a strong reputation as someone pet parents can fully trust—dependable, attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure dogs feel safe, loved, and understood. You can count on me to treat your dog like family, while providing you with updates and peace of mind every step of the way.

About: Hello! My name is Lauren, and I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I started regularly dog sitting in college, and now I have my own sweet AmStaff named Mabel! In addition to adopting her from Charleston Animal Society, I’ve recently started volunteering there. Whether you need someone to follow an involved medication schedule or check in on your pets every few hours, I’m the sitter for you. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends! My current schedule involves longer work days towards the beginning of the week but shorter days towards the end. I’ve listed my availability based on days that I’m not working more than 7 hours in a day in order to accommodate a variety of needs. I enjoy spending time inside and outside with pups! Based on the pet’s typical routine I like to make sure I’m giving them a good mix of play time and snooze time.

Athena S.
“Athena has taken care of my two dogs multiple times. They absolutely adore her! She handles them really well and treats them with so much care. I would absolutely trust her to take care of them anytime.”

Clara G.
“Id like to write a quick referral for my little sister Clara as a pet sitter/walker on Rover. She is incredibly responsible, caring, and has a natural way with animals. Growing up around dogs, cats, and even farm animals, she knows how to handle pets of all sizes and energy levels. She is dependable, communicative, and truly treats every pet like family. I have my own dog rescue (Life Beyond Kennels) and she is absolutely without a doubt amazing help when she comes to visit!”

Lauren M.
“Lauren has loved animals since she was a young girl. Lauren is responsible and caring and grew up with 2 dogs that she cherished. Currently Lauren is a college student who has made the Dean's List every semester along with participating in marching band and percussion/woodwind ensemble so she knows how to multi-task well. Lauren has successfully worked in food service for the past 3 years providing excellent customer service; she shows up on time, she is pleasant to customers and she will take care to make sure that the customer's needs are met. Lauren is a great choice if you are considering a dog sitter for long or short term assignments!”
Forestdale pet parents share their Rover experiences
Rebecca was wonderful! She came to meet our three cats before we were going out of the country for almost two weeks and they took to her right away (even the very shy one sniffed her)! She was very thorough with checking in and out and made sure to send us pictures, which we loved and appreciated! I will absolutely hire her again next time we need a cat sitter!

Heather was great with my boys! She was very punctual and consistent with her visits and always gave lots of photo updates! Both my guys also warmed up to her basically instantly, which is always a good sign and helped to make my trip worry-free :) I would absolutely recommend her!

Jules is amazing. She took phenomenal care of our massive crew. Sent updates, was always mindful of everything in our home and with our fur babies - and went above and beyond in every way. Jules is a trustworthy, incredible, wonderful caregiver and we are SO thankful for her.
