“Camri was such a blessing during our recent trip! I absolutely HATE leaving our Babies behind for travel but Camri helped ease our minds from the first meet and greet. Our dogs loved her right away, she was punctual, provided daily pictures, updates, and went above and beyond to offer peace of mind for the fur babies and our home. We are SO thankful to now have someone to reach out to for future travel needs! We highly recommend the introduction of Camri into your pets life!! You won’t be disappointed.”

“Reyna was wonderful to work with-great at communicating, kept us updated with pictures during her stay, and took great care of our house and dog. We’ve already booked her again for another trip ☺️”

“Jacob is hands-down, an amazing dog sitter! We never had to worry a bit. He always went above and beyond. And always kept us updated! I highly recommend him. And I don’t like to give such high recommendations because then maybe he might not be available for me next time lol. But please use Jacob, if you are ever in need of a dog sitter.”

“Kaylee has done well with my pups. Both dogs get lots of love. Even though my Belgian is very high maintenance my Maltese still got lots of love as well. Highly recommend Kailee”

“Tianna stayed with our 11-year-old Frenchie and cat for nine nights. It was our first time using a sitter that wasn’t family, and she made us feel so comfortable! She video chatted and met with us in person prior to us leaving town, which was so nice. My pup and I have separation anxiety and Tianna made both of us feel safe and secure while we were apart. Tianna was very communicative, sent lots of updates and pictures, was reliable with administering medication, and was comfortable sleeping with our girls since we don’t use crates. We will certainly be rebooking her services in the future! Highly recommend!!”

“She was great! Cassie is very responsible and did everything necessary for Maisie’s veterinary needs. She has sat for us numerous times and hopefully will again.”

“Alaina was great! She took the boys for some walks, one got muddy and she bathed him, and one also got an upset stomach one day in the house. She cleaned it all up and made sure he was good to go. She really did well with my furry kids. I will use her again whenever I am in need of someone to trust with them.”

“Kringle was very happy with Juliana. She let him cuddle with her at night which he loves. It was nice to go on vacation and not have to worry about him. I came home to a clean house and she even washed the linens and put them back on the bed.”
“I cannot say enough about Brittany- she handled our little heck puppy as if she were her very own! We couldn't be happier with how she treated our little 11 week old demoness, making sure she stayed so happy, very healthy and- perhaps most important with our little lady, keeping her out of trouble, which she constantly aspires to be in! It's no small task, and Brittany makes it look easy. She also provided us with regular updates which eased our anxiety so much during those first few days away! We felt so secure leaving our pup with her knowing everything would go great and we'd come home to a vigorously wagging tail! Book Brittany, you will not regret it.”

“Emily is a treasure. She's such a natural. She took care of my 2 large dogs for over a week- they immediately adored her. My vacation was so much better not worrying about my floofs.”

“Brooke is amazing with our fur babies. Arya is a high maintenance Malinois. Brook gives her lots of attention. Lots of love to our Maltese Harley. She is also flexible which helps a ton with our schedules. She keeps us updated and sends pictures. Highly recommend her to care for your pets and home. Although we plan to keep her pretty busy😃”

“Erin was fantastic! She was great at communicating with us and sent us lots of updates of all three animals. We were on vacation while she sat for us and we didn’t have to worry at all during our entire trip, so we got to truly relax! This was our first time using Rover and she made it a great experience! Would 100% recommend Erin to anyone!”

“Nick took care of our home and our dogs with very short notice. He took great care of everything. I would definitely recommend and will be happy to have him look after everything again.”

“Diana is wonderful. I have never been away from my dogs since I rescued them off the streets of Texas. My Dogs are not easy to take care of seeing how they are all rescues. 1 dog is skittish and hides when they meet strangers and 1 dog will bark and growl at strangers she has doggie ptsd she was abused by kids and the father of a family so she has a trust issue with anyone. Then the 3rd dog Ralph is okay a love bug. So she had her hands full. When I got home everyone was Happy and heathly. I left lots of treats and chews and new toys. For her to give them.it seemed that went well. I got lots of updates pictures and video's put my mind at ease.”

“This is the first time I have used Rover because our regular dog sitter was not available. I literally can not say enough good things about Ashlyn! My girls absolutely loved her and she sent the best pupdates! She was great to work with and took the stress away of leaving my girls with a new sitter. The Rover process was also easy to navigate as a first time user!”

“Nichelle was great with my pups. Was a weekend if storms and was good with Arya anxiety. She didn’t overmeficate her. Went by my instructions and kept me informed on how she was doing as well as when she was leaving and returning. Highly recommend her.”

“Tanya was prompt with communication throughout the whole booking process! She took great care of my dogs and rats! I would absolutely recommend using her to watch your fur babies while you are away! Excellent care!”

“Autumn did great. She came and met my furry babies prior to sitting. Cairo is very timid, but he warmed up to her fairly quickly, and Siberia loves attention . Autumn also periodically sent pictures and communicated with me on how they were doing. I am definitely going to use her again. Thank you Autumn.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Park
Diana was our first sitter while using Rover. She far exceeded every expectation I had. She sent frequent videos and pictures with updates. My animals loved her. I was unsure how I would feel having someone I didn’t know in my house. However, she made me feel completely comfortable leaving my animals and my belongings in her care. I will definitely use her again in the future if the need arises.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Forest Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Forest Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Forest Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Park. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
