Lynnette is the first person I've seen Mavis interact with who could sit with and pet her, in the first 5 minutes. Mavis was so at home with Lynnette and tried to guard Lynnette when I arrived to bring her home. Lynnette played, walked, and relaxed with Mavis. She sent me updates, pictures, and videos of Mavis having a wonderful vacation. She has an enclosed yard that allows dogs to safely explore outside. I highly recommend Lynnette!”

About: I've been taking care of cats, dogs, and koi since I was a kid. I am very knowledgeable about giving animals medication, walks, affection, playtime, and wet/dry food. I have always had love and compassion for all animals big or small. Whether it's an injured animal stuck in the middle of the road or a dog without it's owner, I always try my best to care for animals even if they aren't mine. I am available for daily drop-ins and overnights. I am always happy to discuss your specific needs and to make accommodations in accordance to your schedule. I always ensure my pets and the animals I care for get fresh food and water on a regular schedule. I regularly clean after my pets whether it's the litterbox or the backyard. Even when accidents happen I always make sure to keep their environment safe and clean. When it comes to exercise and play, walking my dog is no sweat and playing with my cats is always fun even for me. Finally, there is no shortage of affection when it comes to me. I love giving animals pets or gentle scritches. I can also read an animals body language when it comes to wanting space as well.

“Our GSD has megaesophagus. In the 8 years we have had him we have never left him with anyone for a vacation. We started RV’ing because we could have him with us at all times. This trip was to California and we could not take him. We thought we had him secured at a doggie sanctuary but then was told he was too much for them to handle but to check out Rover. This situation left us in a last minute scramble for sure. I got on and immediately messaged a few people and thankfully one of them referred us to Wendy! She is tiny but mighty, and willing to take it all on with enthusiasm and love! .We left her a 4 page agenda including to-do’s for our other furry family members including a rabbit, 3 cats, hamster, lots of fish and a bearded dragon too. Needless to say we were so nervous because it’s a lot to ask but she did it all for 12 days AND took pics for us, giving us feedback everyday. She is a true gem and we are beyond grateful we found her before this trip. We will definitely be asking her for help again if we need it!! Thank you Wendy so very much! You truly are doing what you love and it shows. Do not hesitate to reach out to her. She is beyond amazing! She even cleaned some (vacuumed, shook rugs and mopped if needed) and put our trash out on trash day!!”

About: I've taken care of animals ever since I can remember, and I am grateful to have been raised around cats and dogs. It has shaped who I am as a person. I have rescued many dogs and cats (or maybe they chose me), and I have experience with training, administering medication, young pets, old pets - all of it. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I am likely the most detail-oriented person I know, and this applies to caring for my pets, as well as yours. Not only do I love my pets, but I love yours too - I love all animals. As a pet parent myself, I trust myself to do this job more than I trust anyone. I can do whatever you need me to do to reassure you that your animals are in the best of hands. I just graduated from grad school and have a LOT of free time! This is great for me, because I love animals and am excited to spend my time with them! I understand the level of trust required when leaving your pets with someone. I have cared for dogs and cats (and a few other animals!) ever since I was a child. I genuinely LOVE animals. Currently, I have two rescue Shar-Pei (the wrinkly-faced dogs), and they are the loves of my life. My approach to caring for my dogs is exactly how I would care for your animals. While your fur children are in my care, they are treated with love and respect, and care instructions will be honored to the T (no matter how long or extensive). I think the instructions I leave for our sitter are ~3 pages long, so I won't judge! I have experience with young animals and the elderly, and have administered medications for both dogs and cats. I would describe myself as a very vigilant pet parent, meaning I take pride in my awareness. For example, when walking my dogs, I always put safety first, watch for cars and other animals, and stay aware of my surroundings. I pay attention. I'm the kind of person who often checks the perimeter of my fenced yard, has multiple dog cameras, makes sure there are no ways out, and double-checks the gate locks. I know it might sound like I'm a helicopter parent, and that might just be a fact. Shar Peis are a stubborn (and amazing) breed of dog, but they notoriously require this level of attention, so I am going to credit my sweet dogs for training me to be the ultimate caretaker. Fun fact: I've had Shar Pei for the past 20 years! I'm here to meet your animals where they are when we are together - if they want to hang out, cuddle, play, and be goofy, great! But if they just want to chill on their own, I will respect their space.

About: I’m the lady who crosses the street to ask if I can pet your dog. I love all dogs, but big dogs have my heart. I confess, I’m also the lady that will remember your dog’s name, age and origins, but perhaps not always your name. Although I have the confidence and experience to befriend your big dogs, that shouldn’t suggest that I don’t love our smaller friends, as well. Big and small, I love them all❣️ I’ve been responsible for animals most of my life. Chiefly, I’ve had the privilege to care and own big dogs. Growing up, we had a Sheppard-Mastiff mix, and that’s when my love for big dogs began. In our house, we had a macaw, cockatoo, kākāriki, ring-necked parakeet, and a cockatiel, tropical/ saltwater fish, dogs, and cats. I continue to be a proud breed ambassador and have owned 4 Rottweilers over the years. I’ve been gainfully employed as a civil servant for 25 years. After my last Rottweiler passed away, I wanted to care for a dog again, but haven’t adopted quite yet. I enjoy hiking, outdoor activities, walking and traveling, and of course dogs! I’ve had the privilege to care for our misunderstood and sometimes reactive dog friends, as well. All dogs deserve love. I helped welp Belgian Malinois puppies and ensure they found loving, deserving homes. I joke that, “If the choice was between world peace or puppies, I would choose puppies.” I can’t wait to meet your doggie! Since I’m a civil servant, my schedule is consistent. I have free nights and 3-day weekends. I enjoy a lot of free time that I would like to fulfill with dogs. I have a secured, fenced yard. I can also kennel your pets as well. My responsibility to you is ensuring your family member is secure in my charge.

Chappy had the right experience and feel to handle them both. He is also extremely conscientious. He is an experienced dog handler and we are relieved to have found him.”

I've adopted and cared for many dogs, and from childhood I helped raise my family dogs and hamsters :) Very few things bring me the same level of joy as the animals do. Before starting a family, I volunteered at local animal shelters and worked at the Marin Humane Society for almost a year as an animal care technician. I no longer have two small dogs of my own, a Jack Russel/chihuahua mix and a shitzu/maltese/bichon mix +, one passed away in October and the other in January of this year from old age. My pet experience includes walking, bathing, arranging meal times and treat routines, as well as enjoying quality time with them while their owners are away, sometimes for weeks at a time.
