“Latie was so communicative and friendly! She showed not only one, but both of our dogs so much love and attention. One of our pups has anxiety and she was so patient as she warmed up to her. Our dogs had the best time and we will definitely be bringing them back with Latie. Thank you so much again :)”

“Our sweet boy Razzle is 16 years old and has special needs, so leaving him with someone else is never something we take lightly. From the moment Allen cared for him, we felt completely at ease. He was an exceptional sitter during our time away and made sure Razzle was comfortable, safe, and well cared for the entire time. Allen sent us photos and videos to keep us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind, especially since I’m the type of pet parent who always worries and likes reassurance that my baby is doing okay. We were busy during an event and couldn’t check in as much as we normally would, but once I was able to reach out, Allen responded quickly, reassured us that Razzle was doing great, and sent even more updates. His attentiveness, kindness, patience, and responsiveness truly stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about the pets he watches and treats them with respect and love. Allen is absolutely someone you can trust with your furry family member, especially if you have an older or special needs pet. We would happily book with him again for future visits.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life — from energetic puppies to cats and kittens. Iv recently have fostered many kittens as well. With over 14 years of hands-on experience growing up with multiple pets, I understand how to give them the love, patience, and attention they need. Now I’m excited to offer that same care to your furry family member! I’m available full-time, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays — with flexible hours to fit your schedule. I’m also happy to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible. Whether it’s an early morning walk, a late-night check-in, or a weekend stay, I’m here to provide dependable and loving care when you need it most. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I care for all pets indoors in a clean, calm, and secure environment, primarily in my own room where they’ll receive constant attention, affection, and enrichment. From toys and cozy spaces to playtime and quiet time, I make sure every pet feels at home. I also have a friendly 5-month-old kitten who loves to socialize and can be great company for pets who enjoy a playful companion. For fresh air and outdoor time, I have a large, fully fenced backyard with beautiful green grass, flowers, and plants — perfect for safe, supervised exploration and relaxation. You can trust that your pet will be in a loving, attentive, and enriching environment where their needs come first, whether they’re staying for a short visit or a longer stay.
“Gabriela and her husband were absolutely wonderful with my sweet Coco! I booked with them on pretty short notice and Gabriela was so sweet and accommodating from the very beginning. They made me feel completely comfortable leaving Coco with them and kept me updated throughout his stay. Their dog, Rocket, was also so sweet and got along really well with Coco, which I loved. Coco seemed so happy and well taken care of when I picked him up. I’m so grateful they were able to watch him on such short notice and I would definitely book with them again! Thank you both!!”

“Very respectful professional and compassionate pet sitter. Highly recommended if you’re looking for someone to take the time to provide the best care to your little ones. 5 star would recommend to anyone. Our dogs had a good time.”

“Our doggies had a lot of fun and got to play with cute doggies that April had visiting or her own. They were so excited to “tell us” everything they did today, that we are definitely going to bring them back! April is great with the dogs and it shows that she is a certified trainer; Loki and Rupert spent their day without fighting and we can only thank April for that.”

About: I moved out of my parents house and had 4 dogs , and I loved them like no other I have taken so much care of those dogs and also taken care of the pets of my family members, neighbors, and also friends . Daily tasks with pets I am caring for are walking , feedings , lots of water to keep pets hydrated and bathing if you guys allow me too ! Nothing makes me happier then having pets around me I am a stay at home mom to a two year old and she loves animals and is super playful and is not a handful at all having this as an add on to my house hold. I have a 2 year old frenchie he’s super playful and does not bite but if you need and your dog does not do good with pets whenever I do take your pup out to use the bathroom I will take him to the backyard to run and use the bathroom freely dog will be kept separated I have a front yard and back yard 💓 I am a stay at home mom so It does not effect my daily life if not I will just add to it in a positive way! I will care for your animal just as I would my own. I follow your feeding schedules and also adding walks and play time as well !

“Rebecca was awesome, obviously a dog lover. Autumn had so much fun playing with other dogs in her huge yard. Autumn was also free to be comfortable inside as well. After an overnight stay, we immediately booked a day trip the next day. I highly recommend Rebecca's services!”

“Yuhui (Nicole) has been helping me to dog-sit and boarding Luna many times in the past 2 years before she offers the services at Rover. Nicole treats Luna so well and I can really tell Luna loves to stay and play with Nicole because she always runs to her and lay down with her belly up for Nicole to rub. I trust Nicole can take very good care of Luna when I am out of town. She definitely provides the best services of dog sitting and boarding than my previous dog sitter!”

About: My first dog was a saint bernard. Since then I've had dogs of various sizes. Good experience with big dogs. I have 2 dogs of my own, a pitt and a terrier, both which have been raised since puppy. I can administer medicine and bathe them! I am a college student who does online, so I am home most days of the week and weekends. I have no other jobs at the moment so I will be able to come pet sit for any time of day! I have 2 other friendly dogs and 4 cats who do well with dogs. Litter boxes are cleaned everyday, food and water is checked on everyday. I am good with getting stubborn pets into their crates safely and how to get an animal to pay attention when it's needed.

“Kristina was amazing! I have honestly never been so impressed with a Rover sitter! She was fantastic at sending updates and pictures! I know my pup was treated like one of her own because he was really happy and slept like a baby as soon as he got in the car to be taken home... that to me is a sign that he had a blast hanging out with Kristina and the fur baby fam! We will definitely be back!”

This is our second time booking with April, and it won’t be our last! She has excellent communication skills, and I trust her with every aspect of my boys care. She is patient and knowledgeable, so I can breathe easy knowing his special needs are being met. I’m so glad we found her.

I’ve been bringing my young Aussie to Ching-Lei and she has been nothing but great! I love how I’m updated with pictures of my Koda every hour 🫶🏼 she has a very healthy environment for the other dogs which makes them all best friends. My dog comes home happy, tired, & calm 🥹

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
