Certified dog trainer in dog psychology, obedience and service dog training. Certified in pet CPR. Started in an animal shelter running our shot clinic and training problem dogs to have the opportunity to get adopted or sent to rescue. Puppy trainer 6+ years. Been running my board and train from home for 6 years. Creating a balanced environment for my clients dogs to feel comfortable outside of a boarding facility.

April did a great job watching Chase while I was out of town. I don’t trust many people with my dog—usually only family watches her—but after talking with April, I felt comfortable leaving Chase in her care. Chase seemed comfortable with her right away and actually wanted to go with her instead of trying to leave with me, which says a lot! April sent me photos throughout her stay, and Chase looked happy and well cared for. She and her apprentice were both friendly and welcoming, and I would feel comfortable trusting her with Chase again.
April was so flexible and great with our gigantic puppy. Her setup is perfect with a small pool in the back that he had the best time playing in! She’s very caring, communicative, and so great with the dogs!
April was amazing! Gave me updates when she could and gave Lucky a good report card at the end of the stay. Lucky can be a hit or miss with his temperament. One minute he’s anxious and the other he’s chill 😅. Glad he felt safe with her. Felt super comfortable at drop off and pick up. Will be trusting her with Lucky for the next time we need a sitter.

I recently had my first experience boarding my dogs over night and I couldn’t be more pleased! From the moment I dropped them off April made me feel at ease. She offered a walkthrough of her home which was immaculate and very dog-friendly. Her experience with dogs was evident and it reassured me, especially since one of my dogs is a chihuahua mix. I felt confident leaving my furry babies in her care. When I picked them up, both of my dogs looked incredibly happy and seemed like they had a wonderful time. I will definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a loving and reliable dog sitter! 🐾❤️
April is so good with my girls. They love her pool for sure. Sadie is high maintenance with her meds and finicky eating, April always has it handled.

Schedule
I work from home so I am always available to my clients and their needs. I also have an apprentice to fill in if I need to go out of town. 24/7 care is always available. I'm available for all major holidays. I offer pick up and drop off for my clients that are leaving unexpectedly or who live far.

Safety, trust & environment
My backyard is all brick wall, fenced in. I have artificial turf for the dogs and a shallow pool for them during the summer. There are often training puppies here and my 2 dogs so your dog won't be alone. If solitude is needed, I can accommodate. All dogs sleep in crates at night to ensure safety during the night, I can make exceptions if necessary. Doggie door is available for inside and outside time. All time here is monitored. I follow all instructions for drop in visits in the clients home.

A typical day
I always start my day with a walk with the dogs. It's important to drain energy to maintain a calm environment. There is a mini pool for them to play in or they can simply come through the doggie door and lounge around inside. There's turf outside for them to rough house amongst each other on and plenty of room for them to run :)
