“Mary did an amazing job making sure my dogs got all of their medications on time. I really appreciated the regular updates and adorable pictures while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“We are so grateful for Reagan's help last minute. She took care of our dog and kept him company while we traveled. I really appreciated the pictures and prompt communication!! Booking her again!!!”

“Peyton was so attentive to my boy, and consistently communicated the entire time he was under her care. He so obviously took a liking to her, and would not have if she didn't provide the best care possible. She's going to be the first person I look to for pet care from this point forward! Fantastic sitter and simply a joy to interact with”

“Isabella is pure joy. She is knowledgeable as well as professional. She kept in touch thru txts and sent pics often. I will book her over and over. If you are looking for a pet sitter Isabella is the one. Isabella I am grateful for the time you spent with my family. See you next time”

About: I’m a NICU nurse looking to turn my love for animals into something I can do on the side. While this is my first time offering pet-sitting services professionally, I have years of experience caring for animals and am very comfortable with both cats and dogs. I currently have four cats of my own, but my family has many dogs I deeply love. I’m used to volunteer at PETS until I had my son, because helping animals is something I’m truly passionate about. As a NICU nurse, I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and detail-oriented. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would treat your cat/dog with the same love and care I give my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just some extra company while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help! I work three 12-hour shifts per week as a NICU nurse, and my schedule varies, but this gives me flexibility on my days off to spend time caring for your pets! My husband is also involved and helps provide flexibility with our schedule. I can coordinate my availability around your pet’s needs and am happy to communicate ahead of time to make sure we find a schedule that works for everyone. I understand how important consistency and reliable care are for your pets, and I want to make sure they receive plenty of love and attention while you’re away! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved, especially when their owners are away! I have four cats of my own and have grown up around dogs and other animals, so I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and needs. When caring for pets in their own homes, I will follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I understand that pets are most comfortable in familiar surroundings, and I want to make their time away from their owners as stress-free as possible. As a NICU nurse, I’m patient, attentive, responsible, and detail-oriented. I will take the time to understand your pet’s individual needs and follow any specific instructions you provide. I also know how important communication is, so I’m happy to send updates and pictures to give you peace of mind while you’re away!
“This was my first time using Rover and having someone I didn’t know dog/house sit. Alissia was super sweet! She came over before our trip so we could have her meet our dog and show her around the house. She was very communicative throughout her stay! I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her! 🐶❤️”

About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.
“We were really anxious about our first dog/house sitting gig, but Mack did a great job with our 3 needy and spoiled pups. We were gone for 5 nights. She sent many photos, and my pups loved her. We have 2 dogs that require medications, and she followed the instructions to the letter. Our house looked great when we got home, and my pups were excited to see us - but not overly so - which lets me know that they really enjoyed their time with her. I highly recommend her, and we will definitely use her again.”

“Hailey stayed at my house for a week and took excellent care of my cat and my dog. She was easy to communicate with and very responsive. My cat is pretty laid back, but my dog can demand a lot of attention and extra loving. Hailey helped my dog through an anxiety ridden night during bad thunder storms with her quick thinking and attention to my dog's needs. She was also very respectful of the house and left everything clean and even offered to water my plants. She sent us daily updates and pictures of the pets - who we missed so much! My pets were happy and healthy when we returned. Thank you so much Hailey!”

About: I have taken care of many animals through out my life and i’ve had them ever since I was 5 so I am confident in knowing how to take care of someone else’s pets and the value of how important it is. I have many skills and experience with animals. I love being an asset to my community and love to make a difference. I am a Vet Tech and I’m a sitter on the side. I am currently in school for Vet Tech through YTI and I am remote, so I have plenty of time to take care of lovely animals, I work at a vet three days a week as a vet assistant! I have 5 dogs and 3 cats but they are very friendly and would love to play with a new furry friend, my pets are very spoiled so other pets will get the very same treatment! I love taking dogs for walks and enjoy playing with animals and giving them the attention they desire. I will also travel if your fur baby needs a sitter. I have a trail behind my house in the woods where my dogs love to walk, and i’m sure your dog would too! I love playing with cats, they are lovely purring friends. I don’t cage my dogs but if your fur baby needs crated I already have crates.
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs of all kinds and know firsthand the love and attention they need. From my first dog, Francis—a loyal Cocker Spaniel/Beagle mix who was part of the family for 16 years—to Olivia, a playful Boxer mix who brought joy for 9 years, I’ve learned how to care for dogs with different personalities and health needs. Now, I’m lucky to share my life with Lulu, a 3-year-old Staffy and Pitbull mix. I treat every dog with the same love and care I give my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well-loved. Taking care of pets is just part of my everyday life. I make sure there’s time for walks, play, meals, and plenty of love every day. I’m used to paying attention to what each dog needs—whether it’s some extra energy to burn or just some chill cuddle time. Basically, I fit pet care into my routine because I genuinely enjoy hanging out with dogs and making sure they’re happy. I live in a quiet apartment with my dog Lulu, which provides a calm and safe environment for pets. I’m also close to several parks with plenty of space for walks and playtime, so your fur baby will get lots of exercise and fresh air. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or during in-home visits, I always make sure water is available and follow feeding routines tailored to your dog’s needs. I take pride in giving attentive walks, regular potty breaks, and plenty of love to keep your dog happy and comfortable while you’re away.
“Ronny was incredibly attentive to our pets and patient with our dog. We have a dog that is not very trusting of new humans and Ronny took the time to work with him and earn his trust! He was attentive on giving us updates on how our dog was doing and how the rest of the animals were doing. 10/10 will book again 😊”

“Abi was very faithful in spending quality time with my older beagle. She shared photos, updates, and even gave me a summary of their time together. I would highly recommend Abi as a pet sitter! She was wonderful.”

About: I love both dogs and cats. I have been around animals my whole life and if I could have an animal sanctuary I would! Animals relieve stress and I find that very helpful! I can watch anyone's animals on the weekends. If it's during the week I'll have to let work know so I can work around your animals schedule. I will care for your animal or animals in however you explain their needs. I'll play with your animal, feed him/her/them or walk him/her/them. I can't bring any animals in where I live.
About: I've been caring for dogs on Rover since 2017, and after 9 years, I've had the privilege of caring for all kinds of personalities, routines, and needs. I absolutely adore animals, and when you leave your dog with me, my goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I keep owners updated with plenty of photos and videos throughout their pet's stay or visit. You'll be able to see how they're doing, what we're up to, and most importantly, that they're happy and being well cared for. I'm available for house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, boarding, and daycare, depending on your dog's needs. For house sitting, I can keep your dog's normal routine as consistent as possible while you're away. For drop-ins, I can provide meals, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. And for walks, I'm happy to give your dog the exercise and enrichment they need. I also enjoy exercising myself, so energetic dogs are welcome to get some extra activity. There's a peaceful bike trail near my home that's a great place for walks, and I enjoy spending time outdoors with the dogs I care for. I'm flexible with my schedule and can accommodate longer stays when needed. I'm also happy to work with dogs who have specific routines, medications, senior-care needs, or other special requirements. Most importantly, I want your dog to have a positive experience while you're away. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, relaxing together, or simply keeping each other company, I want them to feel like they're spending time with someone they can trust. 9 years on Rover • 100+ five-star reviews • Frequent photo/video updates • Personalized care Thank you for considering me to care for your best friend! ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate different routines, including longer stays and last-minute requests when my availability allows. A few important updates about my availability: At this time, I can accommodate a maximum of 3 dogs from the same household for boarding/daycare. I am not currently able to combine dogs from multiple households. I am also balancing my schedule with college, so I limit the number of dogs I take at one time to make sure every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. For boarding/daycare, I require a confirmed booking before arranging a Meet & Greet. This allows me to keep my home and schedule organized while protecting everyone's privacy. Please note that I do not have a car, so I am unable to provide pickup or drop-off services. Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! Your dog's safety comes first. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can enjoy some outdoor time and stretch their legs without leaving the property. I also supervise dogs while they are outside rather than simply letting them out unattended. For boarding and daycare, I require dogs to be comfortable with crate use. Crates provide a safe place for dogs when I need to shower, sleep, run an errand, or otherwise cannot directly supervise them. I view the crate as a safety tool and want every dog to have a secure, comfortable space of their own. I'll also follow the routines and safety instructions you provide so I can care for your dog in a way that is familiar to them.
“This is a five star human being!!! my travels required me to leave before Dani was to arrive. There was some minor chaos when she arrived being a new venue and canine companion. Because I was traveling by air, I did not get to speak to her until after the fact… when we finally connected, she explained in full detail everything that transpired and that it had been handled and her and Rocky were enjoying a TV program!!! Dani is an extremely responsible, capable friend, friendly assistant! Rocky has already put in a request for her return !!!! Our home was in better organization than when I left!! Extremely awesome experience!!!”

About: I’ve have taken care of dogs since I was little. I currently own a dog of my own. I’m good with all kinds of dogs, rescues especially. In my free time I volunteer at the animal shelter to give them the love they unfortunately don’t receive. I have an easy and flexible schedule. I’m typically available to check in with your pets every 2-4 hours during the weekends, and every 4-6 hours during the weekdays. I can crate your animal based on your preference. I do not have a fenced in yard, however I take my dog on a trail everyday to make sure he gets all the exercise he needs. I can handle large and extra large dogs even ones that pull on a leash.
“Tim was a very professional and helpful young man. One of our dogs is very shy with new people. Tim made it a special point to make Albert feel comfortable. I was completely satisfied with Tim. I was very confident in leaving him with our boys. We had no hesitation with having Tim as a guest in our home. I highly recommend this young gentleman.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of October 2026, there are 948 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Flintville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Flintville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Flintville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Flintville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
