As always, Stella had a wonderful stay with Justin & Echo! We love the daily pictures & videos while we're away. It's great to see how much our Stella loves being with you both, and we can tell she misses her friends when she comes home. Thank you, Justin, for taking such good care of our little one! You are the best!!!

Heather is the lady you want to watch your pet. My 7 month old dog had a great time. She had playmates, great care, & lots of attention. I was kept up to date on her daily activities with photos. I think my dog would rather live there with all the activities & attention she had. LoL I highly recommend Heather. She’s a very nice & sweet person along with great pet caring skills.

Our Sheltie, Buddy, stayed with Christina for two nights while we were out of town and he received excellent and loving care during his stay with her! She has two sweet dogs and Buddy thoroughly enjoyed have a couple of friends to hang out with while he was there :) Christina has a beautiful home with lots of outdoor space for the dogs to play. During Buddy's stay, Christina kept me updated with texts and pictures and she even sent an adorable video of Buddy playing with her dogs. I highly recommend Christina and will definitely book her for dog boarding in the future. Buddy gives her four paws up :)

I can’t recommend Destine enough! She took such amazing care of Penny and treated her like she was her own. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that Penny was happy, comfortable, and well loved. I was a little nervous leaving my cat, but she completely exceeded my expectations. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!

This was my first boarding experience and one of my dogs has abandonment and anxiety issues. Jerry responded quickly to any questions that I had and supplied pictures daily and let me know how they were doing. He even made one of the dogs that wasn't eating some chicken and ground beef which I really appreciate. I felt like my dogs were in good hands and will be a returning customer. Thank you Jerry for making this nervous mamma feel at ease.

About: I am an animal lover. I have three dogs of my own, all small rescues. I love big dogs but can’t have them in our tiny house. I am a full time nurse practitioner but take care of animals on my days off. I know how hard it is to find loyal and trustworthy people to care for my animals. That is why I wanted to provide this service. Also, walking and playing with dogs and cats is fun. We also travel and are interested in keeping dogs during travel. My husband and I work together to make sure our dogs are outside regularly throughout the day. I will only be taking appointments on my days off, so my schedule is a little sporadic. For overnight stays, I need to have walked your dogs at least 4-5 times and/or completed a trial of doggy day care to make sure your dog gets along with my personal animals.

About: I am currently a student of the University of Texas Arlington working on my Master’s degree in Social Work and I am hoping to make some extra money to help pay for some of the college expenses. A few fun facts about me are that I love playing sports, having movie nights, and cooking. Growing up, I had a ton of animals and currently I don’t have any pets so I miss loving on all the fur babies. I love spending time loving and playing with dogs and I believe this is a great opportunity for me to be able to do that, make a little extra money, and get some exercise in as well. I am working full time from 8:30am to 5pm, however, I would be open to doing a walk and check in during my lunch hour and anytime before or after work. When the pets are in my home, they are allowed to roam free and play all they want as long as they are potty trained. In the clients home I respectfully abide by the owners instructions left for me.

Jennifer & her family have been amazing with looking after our girl Yara, and making her feel right at home in their house. She has been flexible with drop off & pick up times, and also keeping us well informed with pics and videos. She has also been accommodating to our dog’s particular behavior needs (food aggression) and adjusted so everyone stays safe and comfortable! We already have more dates on the calendar with her and will be booking more!

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Flint home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
