You can tell Julie has a heart for dogs; she sat with ours during fireworks on the July 4th weekend to try and comfort them. She was extremely accommodating on drop off and pick up times, which was greatly appreciated. On top of all of that, the accommodations are outstanding. We will definitely make use of her services for our next trip and are so glad to have found someone who goes above and beyond to care for our pups.

Christina was absolutely wonderful!! We had an emergency and our 1 night stay turned into a 6 night stay. Christina was so kind and flexible with our ever changing situation. She even supplied food for Mollie since we didn’t send enough for the additional nights. She sent lots of pics to let us know what Mollie was up to and Mollie looked happy and relaxed every time. She got to play and snuggle with her daughter and granddaughter and you could tell how happy Millie was with them. I will definitely let Mollie go hang out with Christina again. I could tell she enjoyed her time there!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Heather! She’s our go-to sitter whether we’re gone for the day or away for two weeks. We completely trust her with our precious fur baby, and it’s clear our dog feels right at home with her and her family. Thank you, Heather, for always keeping us updated with sweet pictures while we’re away. We’re so grateful for you! ❤️

Eliza took great care of my two elderly, stubborn dogs so I could take a last minute trip out of town. It’s always nerve wracking leaving the elderly pups but she made the transition smooth and comfortable for them.

Jennifer & her family have been amazing with looking after our girl Yara, and making her feel right at home in their house. She has been flexible with drop off & pick up times, and also keeping us well informed with pics and videos. She has also been accommodating to our dog’s particular behavior needs (food aggression) and adjusted so everyone stays safe and comfortable! We already have more dates on the calendar with her and will be booking more!

Bailee’s communication is phenomenal! She responds fairly quick and gave us constant picture updates of our fur baby’s progress. Ozzy seemed to have made himself at home and had fun there because he came back sleepy, which is good for us! :)

Sarah responded quickly and concisely, was pleasant, and took great care of my dog. I almost felt bad taking the dog away from her 4 year old kid. Will book with Sarah again if she is available next time I need a dog sitter.

Bobbi and her family took good care of Lotus! She was very flexible with her drop off and sent pictures of Lotus hanging out in her big backyard. I was a bit worried about her stairs given that my dog is 11 years old but he managed to go up and down to those few steep stairs just fine. Thanks Bobbi!

About: I am an animal lover. I have three dogs of my own, all small rescues. I love big dogs but can’t have them in our tiny house. I am a full time nurse practitioner but take care of animals on my days off. I know how hard it is to find loyal and trustworthy people to care for my animals. That is why I wanted to provide this service. Also, walking and playing with dogs and cats is fun. We also travel and are interested in keeping dogs during travel. My husband and I work together to make sure our dogs are outside regularly throughout the day. I will only be taking appointments on my days off, so my schedule is a little sporadic. For overnight stays, I need to have walked your dogs at least 4-5 times and/or completed a trial of doggy day care to make sure your dog gets along with my personal animals.

I can’t recommend Destine enough! She took such amazing care of Penny and treated her like she was her own. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that Penny was happy, comfortable, and well loved. I was a little nervous leaving my cat, but she completely exceeded my expectations. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!

My dog loves to stay with Jerry! He always comes back home happy and tired from all the playing. Although we miss him when he’s away, we get pictures every day and that makes it easier. I can always be sure he is safe and taken care of.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Chandler home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Chandler.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Chandler sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
