“Liz is a lifesaver. Back to back weekends I have needed last minute drop in visits for my dogs and she absolutely saved the day! (By last minute I mean less than 24hrs notice 😬 yikes) If she’s available, she will most definitely take great care of your animals. So thankful for her and would of course highly recommend her! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Lisa was very caring and detailed while taking care of our cats. She sent pictures and reports of how they were doing every day and met with us prior to our trip to coordinate everything! Would definitely recommend!!”

“Logan is great! She is punctual, reliable, and great with communicating. She cared for our two fur-babies while we were on vacation for a week. She sent us pictures and a comment of each visit. She truly made sure our girls were well taken care. We will always consider Logan to take care of our pets in the future! Thanks again Logan - we appreciate you!”

“Bianca did an amazing job. She takes great pics! She kept us informed and is a very nice and pleasant person! Our schedule was a little up in the air which meant there were daily updates on when we needed her. It was amazing to find someone who would work around our chaos! We are so glad we found her. & will definitely use her again”

“Emma was awesome! She was very flexible when I ended up not leaving as soon as planned. She happily modified the booking unprompted. She also checked on my plants after a storm and took Lu on a walk (which she loves. Would recommend!”

About: A Loving, reliable sitter who treats every pet like family. I will make sure your furry friends feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am currently a full time student at UTTyler but I have plenty of time in my days to take care of your furry friends!! I care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable—keeping up with their routines, giving affection, and treating them like my own pet.

About: Hey everyone! I'm back after taking some time off and super excited to meet all of you! Sense I am unable to foster or adopt another dog, seeing as I have 1 already, I thought this was the next best thing. I've had pets since I was in the womb and they are my life. I work from home, so I can spend plenty of time loving on your babies! I have grown up with big and little dogs, so I have no preference. I can't wait to meet you all! I work from home so I'm just looking to add some more activities to get out and smell the fresh air and meet some new fur babies!! My work is flexible, so I'm available mostly according to your schedule! A typical visit with me includes meeting before the initial start of the job so we can get acquaintanted, and you can introduce your babies and give me a run down on how you like things done! Typically, I feed them and give them fresh water, then take them for a good walk and when we come back I like to get a little play time in. If feeding isn't involved, we just go out and play for a bit!
“Thank you again for taking excellent care of my babies! I appreciate all that you did for me while I was away, thank you so much! I can rest easy when I'm on a trip thanks to your amazing care for my pets.”

“Aleisa is such a pleasure to work with. Friendly and engaging. Puts Wendy’s timid personality first when interacting. Definitely makes time to make us feel comfortable with leaving and Wendy feel safe when we are gone. So grateful to have found her.”
About: I’m 45 and working alongside my almost 15 year old who lives to take care of animals. We are responsible and will make sure we do the job you are hiring us to do :). You don’t need to wonder if your pet is in good hands. Pets are life at our house. They’re family, and we are honored to help you take care of hours while you’re away. We are available most evenings to take care of & love on your pet. We do whatever you ask us to do for your pet from feeding and water to time outside and or walks. We love on them as if they’re our own.
About: I focus on making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while their owners are away. Whether I’m providing drop-in visits, walks, or house sitting, I stick closely to each dog’s normal routine. This can include walks, playtime, feeding schedules, potty breaks, cuddle time, and simply keeping them company so they feel relaxed and secure in their own environment. I’m dependable, attentive, and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. As a proud dog mom to a husky, caring for dogs is already a big part of my daily life. Beyond caring for my own dog, I’ve helped family and friends by looking after their pets while they travel or have busy schedules. These experiences have taught me how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone else’s furry family member. I work full-time as a manager, but pet care fits naturally into my routine. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need during my visits. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care and give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. Because I have a dog at home, I do not offer boarding services. While my husky is friendly, I believe being realistic about the services I can provide helps ensure the best experience and safety for every pet in my care. Dog mom to a husky, caring for dogs is already part of my routine — through walks, care, and helping my family pets feel loved Because of the dog I have at home, I do not offer the boarding service. Although friendly, it just is not a realistic service for me.
“Teja was absolutely wonderful with my dogs. She treated them with love and care as if they were her own. I am so grateful for her help. She is very responsible and reliable. I am so thankful for her. She took care of everything that needed to be taken care of and did extra on top of it. She wasn't late and gave me peace of mind while I was on vacation. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving my dogs but Teja really came through for us. She was super friendly and kind to my dogs. She really took a burden off me and I will always be grateful for her assistance. She has great attention to detail. She gave thorough attention to us through the app and our dogs, making sure everything was safe and secure at home. Teja is a very lovely person who truly has a giant heart for doggies! 10/10 Would recommend”

“Kayla has watched our two dogs while we were out of town for the last year. Our dogs love her and we loved that she was always super communicative with us. One of our dogs is a senior on a lot of medication and Kayla always followed our instructions which was super important for our dog’s health. We definitely recommend Kayla to anyone looking for dog care.”

About: Having a dog of my own has taught me responsibility. In high school, I used to dog sit overnight! I even did dog walking in my neighborhood. I am a college student at TJC, studying Medical Laboratory Tech. I am also a shift lead at Dutch Bros Coffee! I am willingly open to watch any pets on my days off or even off of my shift! I make sure to keep all pets in my sight, and interact with them if so! Walking and playing with dogs is something I enjoy!

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
