Debbie was wonderfully caring for our dog Finley. Paying extra attention that he had a good walk and ate his dinner. She communicated every step of the way and made us feel so comfortable leaving our little guy behind.

About: Hello, My name is Amelia. I am a paraprofessional off for the summer. I started when my aunt asked me to take care of her dog while they were away on vacation and I absolutely fell in love. Since then I have dog sat for friends, neighbors, and coworkers. I love being outside and walking around neighborhoods and exploring different tails/parks, doing any of those activities with a furry friend makes the experience so much better. I love to cook and create healthy, whole, local meals. I like to keep things clean and smelling fresh. I am off for the summer so my schedule is pretty open. Im looking to fill up most of my week days with fun walks I like to know your schedule and use that as how I spend my day with your furry friends. I do like to get out as much as possible.

About: I have a lifetime of experience in loving animals, I’ve had dogs my entire life. I am loving, gentle and kind and will care for your family members as you would! I have had some medical issues so am currently not working and am available whenever your pets need a sitter! I have open an availability currently. I have a big back yard, no fence but enough of an area to safely play outside on long leash if that’s an option for your animals.

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life and genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and fish through both pet sitting and caring for my own animals. I’m patient, dependable, and understand that every pet has different needs and routines. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra patience and consistency, as well as senior pets who may require a slower pace, medications, or additional attention. I always follow owners’ instructions closely, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule to make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship they need. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, drop in visits, or evening check ins, I’m committed to providing consistent, reliable care while keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I always follow each owner’s instructions closely. I’ll make sure your pet is fed on schedule, has fresh water, gets plenty of exercise and playtime, and receives lots of attention and affection. I’m also happy to administer medications if clear instructions are provided. I keep a clean, safe environment, pay close attention to your pet’s behavior, and can also provide regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for until you return.

About: As someone who loves both dogs and cats, I understand that every animal has a unique personality. I know that some pets want nonstop playtime while others prefer quiet companionship. I take the time to make pets feel comfortable and respected, helping reduce stress while their owners are away. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a big part of my daily routine. I currently have three dogs and five cats, so I’m very comfortable handling multiple pets with different personalities and needs. Through my own pets, I have experience with feeding schedules, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, administering basic care, and making sure animals feel safe and comfortable. I’m used to high-energy pets as well as shy or more independent ones. Because I care for several animals at home, I understand how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. I will treat your pets with the same patience, attention, and care that I give my own Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I currently care for three dogs and five cats at home, so feeding, walks, playtime, and general care are things I do every day. Because of that, adding pet visits or walks into my schedule feels very natural for me. I’m used to managing different feeding schedules, making sure pets get exercise and attention, and keeping their environment clean and comfortable. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I always try to keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully for feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any other specific needs their pet may have. During visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, are fed properly, get exercise or playtime, and receive plenty of attention so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I also keep their space clean, such as scooping litter boxes or cleaning up after dogs during walks. Since I care for several pets at home myself, I understand how important it is to be patient and attentive with animals of different personalities. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, cared for, and relaxed until their owner returns.

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
