About: Please note that my rates are set the way they are because Rover charges a service fee. I’ve been caring for other people’s pets since I was 16 years old. Over the years, I’ve provided dog sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits to give pets attention and companionship while their owners were at work. I also worked full-time as a dog trainer for about two years, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. In addition to dogs, I have extensive experience caring for cats. I’m comfortable administering medications, including oral medications and injections, and I’ve cared for pets with special medical needs that require medication or shots on a strict schedule. I’ve also cared for senior dogs and cats, as well as puppies and kittens, so I’m confident handling pets at every stage of life. Communication is very important to me, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide safe, loving, and reliable care every time. I am flexible during the day and at night, and I can reliably walk, feed, administer medication, and give your pet the attentive care they deserve. With experience caring for both dogs and cats, including my own dog and cat, I understand how important it is to treat every animal with patience, consistency, and love. You can count on me to follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully and make sure your fur baby feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I work with dogs every day, so I know how to recognize signs of stress and respond with patience and understanding. I also have a large fenced-in yard, though I mainly care for pets in clients’ homes, where they often feel most relaxed. I truly love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own.

Mariza was wonderful! At our initial meet & greet, I instantly felt comfortable leaving my dog in her care. Mariza really took the time to get know her and made sure that Kaya was comfortable with her. She provided a lot of details and photos each time she walked her. She even let me know when she had concerns about some redness developing on her skin. You can tell she really loves and cares about all animals. I would definitely book Mariza again and recommend her to anyone! 🫶

Kat is AMAZING! She got back to me immediately and was so kind about my dog mom anxieties. She sent pictures and videos and gave my dogs so much attention! They already love her and we’ll definitely be using her again!!!

About: Large Animal Science graduate, have completed the vet tech, dog grooming, and agility courses at BCAHS. Experience with diverse/exotic animal caretaking rolls, canine cpr certified, lots of experience with difficult dog breeds. My schedule with work is very flexible. Usually I tend to walk my dog for a 1-2 hours a day. It is extremely important that my dog Nala gets exercise each day to make sure she stays happy and healthy. Sometimes I also take my cat on the walks as well (he loves spending time outside with his sister with his harness and leash on!). Weekends have much more flexibility with my schedule. It is extremely important to make sure that any animal feels comfortable in their environment. Giving them the opportunity to take bathroom breaks and keeping pets on their normal schedule is very important. Giving pets access to fresh drinking water, specific foods, and medications as needed is also crucial. Providing proper exercise and mental enrichment only helps to further improve an animal’s experience in their surroundings as well.

About: I have cared for animals for over 10 years on my own, which included letting them out taking them on walks, feeding them cleaning up outside bathing them. I also volunteer at shelters to help care for their animals. I have an extra few hours in my day, which allows me to have time to care for others when needed because I know how difficult it is to find a sitter while going away I would care for them just as I do my own with love respect and I would follow their routine and what they do for their pet so they feel comfortable while they are gone

About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets just as much as you do, I recommend Dani!! We have two high energy pups that like to get out and stretch their legs while we’re at work. Dani is amazing with taking them on walks and to the dog park! My pups get so excited for when she comes to let them out! She’s absolutely amazing with communication and letting you know what’s going on! She’s truly an amazing person to have watching your dogs, I can’t recommend her enough!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Fishers Ferry. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fishers Ferry. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
