About: I have taken care of animals since I was about 10 years old, I’ve been trusted with families as well as family, friends, and family to watch dogs. Ever since I was born, I’ve grown up with a yellow lab, and a Labradoodle, who I currently have still I’ve cared for dogs, my whole life, and understand the importance of finding someone who is reliable and trustworthy to watch your dog. I am a sophomore at the University of Kentucky and home for the summer. I have a Summer job that I work three times a week but I do not work all day, so watching your dog would be a simple task. I understand the importance of making sure your dog is safe and with someone who is trusted, which is why I will ensure to send pictures and give my full attention to your dog whether it’s helping with medicine, which I have to do with my current dog understanding its behaviors.

About: Hi, I'm Jess, a lifelong animal advocate, former shelter director, ordained interspecies animal chaplain, and experienced caretaker based in Prospect, Kentucky. I've spent years working hands-on with animals of all sizes, species, temperaments, and health needs. As Operations Director at the Terre Haute Humane Society, I worked directly alongside veterinarians to implement shelter medicine protocols and quality of life standards, giving me informal vet tech experience that most pet sitters simply don't have. I'm comfortable medicating dogs and cats, administering treatments, bathing, trimming nails, and supporting animals through illness and recovery. I bring a broad working knowledge of both pharmaceutical and natural health interventions, and I'm deeply familiar with navigating complex health needs, from post-surgical recovery to chronic illness management. For over five years, I fostered dogs through the Terre Haute Humane Society, including puppies and adults with serious behavioral challenges, dogs who were facing euthanasia due to behavioral issues, and severely ill animals, including parvo puppies, which requires intensive, around-the-clock care and a steady nervous system. I also fostered adult dogs through For Paws Sake Canine Rescue and Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, and I've been an active exotic animal foster with the Exotic Animal Rescue and Pet Sanctuary since 2014, caring for rabbits and ferrets. I understand difficult dogs. Not in theory, but from real experience. I know how to read body language, set boundaries with compassion, and create safety for animals who don't trust easily. Every size, every temperament, every need. I've been there. I also bring a depth of care that goes beyond the physical. As an ordained interspecies animal chaplain, I hold deep reverence for the lives of animals and the people who love them, showing up from the joy of a new puppy to the grief of a final goodbye in a way that is interfaith, inclusive, and grounded in genuine care for the whole of a life. I am also a Level II Animal Reiki practitioner trained in the Let Animals Lead method, which means I offer animals choice, consent, and energetic support in a way that honors their autonomy and meets them exactly where they are. At home, I share my life with two dogs, Merlin, a GSD mix who is sensitive and intense and absolutely my heart, and Arthur, a small scrappy mixed breed who recently had a femoral head ostectomy and reminded me all over again what it means to care for an animal through something hard. They are my people. I am active, fit, and genuinely love a long walk or a full play session. Your dog will come home tired and happy. I promise. Your pet isn't a task on my list. They're the whole point. Pet care is not something I fit into my life. It is my life. I work fully from home, which means I am present, available, and attentive throughout the entire day. I am not leaving for an office or rushing between commitments. When your pet is in my care, someone who genuinely knows animals is home with them all day, every day. My routine is consistent and calm, which animals thrive on. I wake up early and go to bed early. Meals happen twice a day on a reliable schedule. Mornings are intentional and unhurried, which sets the tone for the whole day. I live in Norton Commons in Prospect, Kentucky, one of the most walkable and beautiful neighborhoods in the Louisville area. I have been known to walk nine miles a day with my dogs, and every dog in my care gets their own dedicated walk, at their own pace, on their own schedule. I walk dogs separately because each one deserves individual attention, their own rhythm, and their own time with me. That is not an inconvenience. That is just how I do it. For dogs staying in my home, we have a generous space, a calm environment, and two resident dogs who are well-socialized and accustomed to sharing their space with visitors. For cats, I have a dedicated room that belongs entirely to them, completely separate from the dogs. Their day includes multiple play sessions, consistent feeding times, and unhurried morning time with me, typically two hours, where I am simply present with them in their space. No rushing, no chaos, just quiet companionship and genuine attention. Whether you need me in my home or yours, the consistency, presence, and care remain exactly the same. Safety and trust are not afterthoughts in how I care for animals. They are the foundation. In my home, my environment is calm, intentional, and animal-centered. I live with two dogs of my own, which means visiting pets are welcomed into a space that already understands animal needs, respects boundaries, and moves at an animal's pace. I do not rush introductions. I allow animals to acclimate on their own terms, reading their body language carefully before asking anything of them. For animals who need separation, quiet, or their own space, I provide that without hesitation. In a client's home, I treat the space with the same care and respect I would want someone to bring into mine. I follow established routines closely, because consistency is safety for animals. I pay attention to the details, what a pet eats, how they move, what makes them comfortable, and what signals that something is off. I notice things. It is both training and instinct at this point. With my background in shelter medicine, informal veterinary support, and years of caring for animals with complex health and behavioral needs, I am equipped to handle the unexpected calmly and competently. I know when something is routine and when something needs attention, and I will always communicate transparently with you about your pet's well-being. My goal in every setting is simple: your pet should feel safe, seen, and at ease. Whether I am in my home or yours, that standard does not change.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life but within the last 2 years I worked at WMK9 out of Covington. Which is a dog training and boarding company. I’ve learned to properly train and take care of other peoples dogs. But my previous dog was a diabetic, so I constantly gave him vetsulin (dog insulin) twice a day. I work at Kroger and usually work 1-9, I do it about 5 days a week during the summer. I get my schedule for the next week Sunday-Saturday on the current weeks Friday. But with that said I don’t mind staying at someone else’s house. I am a very big believer in karma, so you don’t have to worry about not trusting me. I promise I will do my best to make sure your animal is comfortable with the circumstances given.

About: I was a three times a day dog walker for an elderly neighbor. When she passed I took ownership of dog. Now I am looking for some new clients. I work from home and dog walk. I have the time to give to your pup tons of walks, play with them, and give lots of kisses. Fridays are dog park day! I can play with your dog in your home. Give your pup a break from the crate and have me walk and get play with your dog.

About: I have been working with dogs from a young age. I Worked in a kennel to help exercise and train animals for 3 years. After that, my family began fostering dogs to help train and nurse them in order to get them adopted. I also have two dogs of my own that I love to exercise, play and cuddle with. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities! I am a doctor of physical therapy that is currently pursuing K9 physical therapy. About: I’ve got experience with pups of all personalities! From chihuahuas to pitties, I love them all. I have seen every episode of de Dog Whisperer, however I’m aware it doesn’t necessarily make me an expert in animal psychology. I’m physically fit and would love to walk and run around with your doggy companions! I have degrees in music (cello) and would be delighted to entertain your pets while you’re away. I also do weddings and parties, if you have one of those coming up. I have loads of experience with cats, as well. I’ve cared for diabetic cats and am very comfortable with injections. About: Myself & my wife, Madison, are both teachers with the entire days off at times. With that, we will be home with your dog most of the day (if not all day!). Your dog is welcome to roam the house and sleep on our furniture just as our own dog does if we are away - whatever you are comfortable with. We are currently a two dog home right now - we have a Kelpie-mix named Aero and mini-Daschaund named Winnie! They are both playful and loving dogs that will match your own's energy! In the past I have dealt with anything from puppies to rescue dogs (just like Aero). With Aero being a rescue dog, he did suffer from extreme separation anxiety at the beginning (no longer does) so I can accommodate your dog as needed if that is the case. Your dog will be taken care of just as well as Aero - like his short-term brother/sister - through plenty of playtime and treats (if they are allowed). They will also be allowed to sleep with us in bed, and on the furniture. We all can't wait to meet you and your pup! Myself & my wife, Madison, are both teachers. This means we have weekends, most holidays, and even the entire summer off. This allows us plenty of time to play with and cater to both our own dog and yours needs however is necessary! I currently have a full 7ft fence surrounding our yard with plenty of room for your dog to ZOOM! If we need more space, then I do have access to multiple dog parks, or can take them to my family farm to run around if okay with you. I will happily accommodate any rules and routines you have in place with your dog - from crating when leaving to not being allowed on the furniture to having to work on training by working for their food. I will always have open and honest communication with my clients, as well as provide constant updates on the well-being of your pup. We do also live within 5-10 minutes of multiple veterinarian facilities and emergency pet hospitals if anything were to ever happen.
