“Zalie was amazing! This was our first time leaving our furr child with a stranger and also the first time using Rover. We booked only a few days before we had to leave and Zalie was very accommodating to set up the meet and greets and go over logistics before we left. She was very professional and thorough and we felt great about leaving our pup with her. We have a very high energy border collie/ cattle dog that has specific exercise needs. Even in the rain, she took him on walks, to play fetch, and played a lot of mental exercises inside. She sent many updates and photos while we were gone and it felt like we were never wondering if he was having a good time. We 100% recommend Zalie !”

“Halley did a fine job taking care of our animals. I have not spent any time away from my dog in the 12-ish years I've had her so I was pretty stressed about that. We also have a cat of advanced age, we were worried about her and finally 2 cats who are sneaky and will dart out if you're not paying attention. Happily all 4 animals are happy and unstressed. They were happy to see us of course but overall, they didn't have too much stress. Finally, our home was still neat and clean when we got home. Halley was very conscientious, she left our home as neat as she found it. There was a snafu but Halley managed to deal with it and get on with things. I would be happy to recommend her to others and if we ever need to go out of town again, Halley is who I would ask to care for my home and my animals.”

About: I have been a sitter for 4 years for friends and neighbors. My care has included walking, potty breaks, overnight care, and more! I’ve lived with Dobermans my whole life and am capable of care for any dog of any size! I am a full time student at Cal Poly humboldt, my classes are in the morning and I am completely open in afternoons, weekends and holidays! I am active and love to play with animals!! My dogs at home are escape artists so I know how to avoid an escape due to fences. I have kennel trained multiple of my dogs and prefer to use kennels for bigger dogs.

I have had the pleasure of expanding my experience with animals as I have worked for the past two years as a nanny/farmhand. My work days extend Mondays through Friday for 6-8 hour stretches depending on the day. My schedule allows for plenty of time to walk and play with your pets before 9am and after 4pm with additional opportunity for brief check-ins/ potty breaks on M/W/F as my work is flexible those days allowing me to be mobile and pop by if needed. For the comfort of your pets, I am more than willing to stay with them at their own home for the duration of the job. I do have a sweet 9 year old Belgian shepherd mix who she gets along wonderfully with other animals and would love to join me to provide an additional social aspect to the visit if you wish or I can come solo. Having a large car, I would love to take your dog for long walks around the community forest, the marsh, or around the local park. I'm currently working part time, so I have high flexibility and availability for taking care of your dog or cat. Weekdays are preferred, but I am also available on weekends if needed. I have a small studio apartment that would be most appropriate for boarding a small dog or cat. I also love walks and would be willing to take your pup for a walk in the community forest nearby, the nearby park, marsh, beach, etc. Caring for your animal is my top priority.
