“We were in Callaway, VA for a wedding and we left our pup with Maribel and her family for the day while we attended the event. Leading up to our trip, Maribel put me at ease with fast and professional communication and flexibility when our drop-off time changed. During the visit, Maribel shared awesome pictures of our pooch in action. Upon pickup, pup was all smiles and tail wags. It is evident that Maribel and her family treat your pet like their own during boarding. We were able to attend the wedding worry-free, knowing that Dante was in great hands. I HIGHLY recommend Maribel for your pet sitting needs.”

“It was clear from the first moment after meeting Natalie that she absolutely loves all dogs. She was great with our puppy. It was the first time that we had to board our 5 month old Golden Retriever, Lexie but Natalie made this painless for us and Lexie. She sent daily reports and even videos of Lexie so we could see that she was doing great. Lexie even hated to leave her house. I would highly recommend Natalie to anyone who needs to board their dog.”

“Samantha truly does treat my pup like her own ❤️ I never have to worry when she’s there - Samantha sends me lots of pictures and updates, and my dog always looks so happy and at home.”

“John was very kind and accommodating through adjustments I had to make regarding my trip and my booking for dog sitting. And, he took such good care of my Tilly, updating me daily.”

“Coco had an amazing time with Shannon during our 4-day stay! I was pleasantly surprised to receive a same-day update when I dropped him off, and Shannon continued sending daily updates, pictures, and videos of Coco playing with her dogs throughout the entire stay. I really appreciated her responsiveness and the genuine care she showed for my puppy. I would absolutely book with Shannon again!”

“Jody took amazing care of our two pups while we were gone for a long weekend. She has a wonderful setup with a fenced in yard for pups to hang out and explore. She provided over the top service feeding my pups eggs when they wouldn’t eat their food and providing a fan for when they came back inside from running around. She was a delight to deal with from start to finish and sent us pictures while we were gone as well. Highly recommend her!! Thanks again Jody!”

“Such a wonderful service provided with timely updates including pictures. I felt very comfortable leaving the kitties with her. I will definitely use her service again if I need to board Emma and Walley.”

“Mac is very nice and Gemma loved being there and playing with her dog. She sent regular check ups with us and sending pictures. Gemma is actually missing her best friend!!! She is either tired or missing her friend due to she has been sleeping alot. I will definitely bring Gemma back. She has very nice and quite place for any dog to play.”

“Wonderful establishment with beautiful scenery, tucked back high on a mountain. They're experienced and the kennels are in great shape!. The owners are very forthcoming with information before taking your animals to board there. It was worth the 40 minute drive. They helped me out when I needed help with two rescue dogs that I knew nothing about yet. Please consider them for your next board!.”

“Kayleigh and her children treated my dog like he was one of theirs .Communication was great she gave me updates to help my anxiety as well . Zeus came back home with out a cough which was definitely a plus for me . I will definitely be going to her again”

“Marah and Jordan were fantastic! Marah sent me updates and photos of my pup every day and treated her like a member of the family. I've definitely found a permanent sitter! Thanks, Marah!”

“Trooper had an awesome stay with David! I received daily updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. It was clear Trooper enjoyed the long walks, plenty of attention, and excellent care. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with David again in the future!”

“Kristen is wonderful and has been so accommodating with us. My dog Ali gets so excited when she knows we are at Kristen’s house and barely pays attention when we leave. 😂 That makes leaving her much easier to know Ali is having fun and others to play with. Highly recommend Kristen.”

“Jack is a finicky pup -- that's the chow in him. However, when we picked him up he was happy and healthy -- thanks to Pam and their wonderful home. Definitely will book another stay. He's 9 years old, and it's good to know he is well cared for.”
“Angela is absolutely amazing. She goes above and beyond to care for your fur babies. Simba was well taken care of and enjoyed his 8 day stay. Will most definitely use Angela again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ferrum
Maribel and Carl were so lovely and took excellent care of my boy! They sent me updated and pictures while Oliver stayed with them which was super appreciated. They also made sure he got some exercise and let him splash in the river that runs through his property. Amazing care!

Miko always has a great time at Maribel's and Carl's. They have a delightful farm with lots of room to romp. Miko enjoys their walks down to the river. He always seems sad to leave and excited to go. They also do a great job of communicating and sending photos of our furry son and are flexible when travel plans change!

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
