“Emma is great! My animals loved her immediately. She kept me updated and sent many pictures throughout the weekend. She was also flexible when my vacation plans changed and added an extra visit when I asked. Emma was patient and helped clean up the messes my puppy created (chewing up an ink pen). I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again!”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, since I was a very young child, it ranges from cats dogs hamsters to even reptiles. All growing up I have always had dogs large and small and moving out of my parents house. I also got a cat of my own and have raised two animals by myself living out of my parents home for over 11 years now. I currently have an open schedule, I'm looking to go to school here in the spring time; but as of now I have a open schedule. As approaching your home, I will assess the environment and the fur baby when I get there and calmly assure the animal that I'm there to help and to love for them as their humans do.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have experience caring for a wide variety of pets, from dogs and cats to farm animals. I’m comfortable with pets of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I have experience with feeding, walks, playtime, giving pets attention and companionship, and keeping up with their individual needs. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple animals at once and have experience with livestock from showing sheep, so I’m not afraid of a little extra work! I’m dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I enjoy making pet care a regular part of my day. I’m able to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, feeding, and giving your pets the attention they need. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I want you to feel completely at ease while you’re away. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. In your home, I will respect your space, carefully follow your instructions, keep food and water areas clean, maintain litter box cleanliness, and make sure doors and windows are secure. I’m mindful of potential hazards and will never take unnecessary risks with your pet’s safety. I also understand that cats need patience and space to adjust, so I’ll let them approach me at their own pace rather than forcing interaction. Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and messages while you’re away. I want you to enjoy your time away knowing your cat is safe, comfortable, and receiving attentive, loving care. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family and every home with the same respect I would expect for my own..

About: Working in veterinary medicine, I can understand basic animal needs and care. I have been taking care of animals for over 10 years. I will treat your babies like they are my own I work two jobs, both in opposite directions, so to be able to housesit. And given a good amount of time to request days off to give your baby my full attention I prefer housesitting over boarding at my personal home, it’s easier for me, and I feel like the pets would prefer their own home over anyone elses

About: I have many years of experience taking care of your fur babies. Any service needed I've stepped up to the challenge. Young puppies who need to get their energy out, old pups who just need some extra loving, big puppies who require a strong grip and extra patience. I also have experience in fostering and rescuing with having rescued over 20 cats/kittens and provided medical and rehabilitative care. I am a veteran with medical experience who is currently in school to receive my bachelors. I’m on summer break right now so I will have plenty of time for any pet and any service they require. I will be flexible to work with any schedule conflicts long term or part time. My goal is to make your life easier! I live in a house. Although I do not have a fenced yard, I live in a beautiful golf course gated community with tons of space for long walks. I do have one cat who is friendly with other pets. If your pet is one to cuddle they will be allowed on beds and couches or if you prefer them to be crated I will follow along with your instructions as well.

My only issue is that Rover ( not Maddy) charged me for the cancelled previous April 12th that was properly cancelled 48 hours ahead. Rover please deal with that refund.”

“Sarah was a very good choice in having them check-in on our dogs. Being a first time user of the app, I was very nervous, but Sarah made sure to keep us up to date as to what was going on every step of the way. Sarah took our dogs out, fed them, cleaned up after them and even reported that one of the dogs broke something. I highly recommend this sitter!!!!!!”

About: I bring over two years of professional, hands-on experience working with established pet care companies, caring for both cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and special needs. My experience includes everything from high-energy, playful pets to shy, anxious, and senior animals who require patience, consistency, and a calm, gentle approach. My care style is highly attentive and individualized. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, comfort level, and routine so I can provide care that feels safe, familiar, and stress-free. Whether it’s structured walks, quiet companionship, enrichment play, or simply a calm presence, I adjust fully to what each animal needs in the moment. I also have experience following detailed care instructions, maintaining clean and comfortable environments, and administering basic medications when needed. I’m confident reading both canine and feline behavior, including body language, boundaries, and stress signals, which helps me build trust quickly with even shy or sensitive pets. Growing up in a home surrounded by both cats and dogs, animal care has always been second nature to me. Combined with my professional experience, it has shaped a calm, observant, and highly reliable approach to every pet I care for. I previously worked with Pawsitivity Pet Services, a professional pet care company in Virginia, where I received a letter of recommendation from the founder recognizing my reliability and dedication to animal care. I have since relocated to Florida. Verified references are also available upon request. 🐾❤️ Pet care is a central part of my weekly routine, and I’ve structured my schedule to be flexible, reliable, and fully focused on providing consistent care. I recently relocated to Florida, and I currently have open availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on client needs. I prioritize being dependable, punctual, and communicative so pet parents always feel confident their pets are in consistent, attentive care. I take the time to follow each pet’s routine closely and ensure every visit is completed with care, attention, and reliability. Whether it’s ongoing weekly care or occasional bookings, I’m committed to providing trustworthy service that owners can depend on. I provide pet care exclusively in the client’s home, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment and routines. I follow all instructions closely to ensure each pet’s safety, well-being, and consistency in their daily care. I focus on maintaining a secure, respectful, and attentive environment during every visit, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box maintenance, playtime, and any special care needs such as medications or specific routines. My goal is to ensure pets feel comfortable and well cared for while owners are away, while also giving owners peace of mind that their home and pets are being treated with respect and responsibility at all times.

About: Five years ago, my dog—a Golden Retriever—came into my life. I have extensive experience caring for pets, as I have looked after him since he was very young. Furthermore, many people often remark on how I interact with animals, noting that I am very affectionate and loving toward them. In addition, friends and people close to me frequently ask me to look after their pets, as I am always very attentive to their feeding schedules—and, above all, to their walks, which is every pet's favorite part of the day. I currently work part-time and am available from 4:00 PM onwards to care for your pets—whether for a walk or simply to provide them with companionship for a few hours or taking them out for evening strolls—as walking my own dog is already part of my daily routine. I am the owner of a five-year-old Golden Retriever who is very friendly and affectionate, so your pet will feel just as comfortable as they do in their own home.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Fedhaven

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 1,501 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Fedhaven. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fedhaven. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
