“I left my sweet but high-medical needs senior lab, Opal, with Kena and her family, and they took perfect care of her. Her kids were immediately gentle and kind to Opal, greeting her, petting her ears, and helping to brush her. Over the weekend I got updates about how Opal was doing, reassurance that she was getting her meds, and lovely photos of her resting or exploring in the yard. When I went to pick Opal up, she was happy to see me, but it was clear she felt very at home with Kena and the kids, and it even took a little convincing to get her to come out the door with me to get in the car. I would take her back to Kena for future care in a heartbeat.”

Yesenia was very understanding and after a meet and greet, we felt very comfortable having her watch our girls in her home. She has a great space for sitting and a wonderful backyard where our girls could run around with each other! She even asked if we had any preferential instructions that we may not have included in our online request. She was very responsive when we asked for updates on our dogs' stay and sent pictures to us as well. Her availability was also a great fit for us. I’m patient, attentive, and good at picking up on an animal’s individual personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m reliable with schedules and details, so feeding times, medications, walks, check-ins, and special instructions are taken seriously. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and low-stress as possible and make sure they feel safe, cared for. I’m comfortable administering medications and have experience with both oral and injectable medications. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medications, behavior, doors and gates, leash safety, and anything else you want handled a particular way. I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s boundaries, and I won’t force interaction with a nervous or shy animal. Our goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog feels right at home with us. We’ve both grown up with dogs and most recently had the joy of caring for our beloved Border Collie, Charley, through his senior years. We understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and quirks, and we’re happy to follow whatever helps your pup feel comfortable and cared for. Our home is clean, cozy, and very dog-friendly. We’re big fans of couch cuddles, playtime, and having a pup happily hanging out alongside us. If your dog thinks the best place in the house is curled up on the couch or snuggled in bed with their people, they’ll fit right in here! We have a securely fenced backyard for safe outdoor play, but your pup will never be left outside unsupervised. We’re also within walking distance of beautiful Bidwell Park, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks, exploring, and fresh air. I work from home, which means your dog will have lots of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long stretches. We’ll give your pup plenty of love, attention, playtime, and, of course, as many cuddles as they’re willing to accept. We’d love to get to know you and your four-legged family member and make their stay with us feel like a home away from home! Brittany works from home and has a very flexible schedule so can spend all day with your dog. We are happy to modify our daily routines to accommodate your dogs's normal walking and feeding schedule so they feel right at home. We can also accommodate last minute bookings. Your pup’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We have a securely fenced yard where your dog can enjoy outdoor time, but we will always supervise them while they’re outside. Inside, they’re welcome to make themselves completely at home — including cuddling up on the couch or sleeping on the bed with us. We only host one family’s dogs at a time, so your pup gets our full attention without having to share our home with unfamiliar dogs. We also do not have children, creating a calm and comfortable environment where your dog can settle in and feel at ease. We’ll follow your pup’s routines, preferences, and house rules as closely as possible so they feel safe, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets as a job since I was 10. However, I have grown up from birth around many different animals in my household. Ranging from dogs to turtles, I’ve had it all! I am a college student looking for any work I can get! I currently have a very open, flexible schedule and am willing to work around yours too! Growing up around pets my whole life, I have many tricks and solutions to get dogs to listen in order to assure their safety with me.
