“Monica was wonderful with our dog, Chase! She kept us updated with messages and pictures throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious from the photos that Chase had a great time playing with Nova and Arcturus. She was also incredibly flexible when I needed to make a last minute change to our pickup time. I would definitely trust her with Chase again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter! 🐾”

“Thomas and Margaret were absolutely wonderful with our wild rescue and elderly lab. We were worried more about our wild man getting along but she took him right in and assured us he would be fine. Our old girl had an accident we were immediately notified and received updates in case she could have been declining. I know there was cleanup involved and our Zoey was clean as she could be when we picked her up. We received daily check-ins with pictures. Wonderful experience, will re-book!”

“Karin took amazing care of my Zucchini! This was my first time using Rover so I was naturally nervous to drop my baby off, but I felt better knowing she would have around the clock human care and interaction while I was gone because I know she gets lonely on shorter trips when I've had friends just drop in. Karin assured me Zucchini would be fine, and she was! She sent me updates and pictures daily to let me know how Zucchini was doing. She even went the extra mile and clipped Zucchini's nails for me, which I greatly appreciated because the week up to me leaving had been tough on a personal level and I had planned to clip Zucchini's nails before her Rover stay but never got around to it. Karin is one of the nicest people I've met and best pet mama, she was very flexible with pick up/drop off times and even offered to come pick Zucchini up for me if needed before I left. I definitely plan to use her services again in the future if she will have us. Thank you Karin for making my first Rover experience a great one.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs since I was 21. I am a nurse and feel comfortable taking care of dogs of any age. I currently have my own doggo who is a 14yr old, spade, lab beagle mix. I am presently working from home and have availability for daily pet care. Even for my own dog I am traditionally not away for more than a few hours. I have a fenced in patio and my own dog to help keep your pet company. Walks will always be leashed ones. If there are any concerns with how your pet and mine would get along I would be more than happy to conduct meet and greets.

“We had a wonderful experience with Jordan as our dog sitter! When we first met Jordan, she invited us into her home so we could see where Roxy would be staying during our holiday. Her home was clean, organized, and very welcoming. She has a dedicated space for the dogs to sleep, even with a TV, and a great backyard where they can safely run and play. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully set up for pet sitting. Jordan is also very organized and professional. She keeps a calendar notebook to stay on top of all her appointments, which gave us even more confidence that Roxy was in good hands. While we were on holiday, Jordan kept us updated on how Roxy was doing and made sure we knew she was happy and having a great time. Roxy got to meet new friends and clearly enjoyed her stay! Most importantly, Jordan took excellent care of Roxy. When she came home, she was just as happy and well cared for as when we dropped her off. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, clean, and organized pet sitter. Roxy definitely has a new sitter going forward! ❤️🐾”

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 125 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Falling Creek. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

95% of sitters in Falling Creek can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Falling Creek home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Falling Creek.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Falling Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
