This was my first time using Rover so I was naturally nervous to drop my baby off, but I felt better knowing she would have around the clock human care and interaction while I was gone because I know she gets lonely on shorter trips when I've had friends just drop in. Karin assured me Zucchini would be fine, and she was! She sent me updates and pictures daily to let me know how Zucchini was doing. She even went the extra mile and clipped Zucchini's nails for me, which I greatly appreciated because the week up to me leaving had been tough on a personal level and I had planned to clip Zucchini's nails before her Rover stay but never got around to it. Karin is one of the nicest people I've met and best pet mama, she was very flexible with pick up/drop off times and even offered to come pick Zucchini up for me if needed before I left. About: My experience with cat care started 8 years ago, and my time working with kittens is much shorter, less than 2 years. Learning firsthand at animal shelters as a kid how quick cats can go from loving and vulnerable to sometimes fearful and or/irritable taught me most felines have unpredictable emotions. Because of this I learned to approach and treat cats much differently from how I would a dog to get a better chance of bonding. I currently live with three cats and including them I have cared for almost every different coat color besides the infamously chaotic orange tabby.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12 years old. From large breeds like husky to small dogs like Pekingese, each one has been a part of the family. I love spending time with my own dogs (2 female pits) and love making new friends. Here in Greenville I share custody of a dog, Saint, with my boyfriend. I love to walk so that is no problem for me when it comes to walking dogs. I also worked as an assistant for almost two years where one of my main priorities was taking care of her pitty :) I currently work part time so my availability is pretty open! I spend a lot of my time outside on walks, so it only makes sense that I open the door to including pets on my walk. I do stay in an apartment so I don't have yard space for pets, but I am willing to drive to dog parks or walking trails. I also don't mind going to other peoples home to care for their animals.

About: My experience into dog care started 9 years ago, and my time working with cats started less than a year later. My experience of both dogs with a hyper or dissociative personality and felines with bad temperament was mostly gained while working at various animal shelters. Some shelter dogs and cats are not temperamental on their own but sometimes will instinctively react to those who are being the aggressors, as is their nature. it's often very similar at dog parks- A Gathering of many unknown dogs, some likely to be reactive to others and always a few having chance of causing a fight. Something I keep in mind for safety every time I have an interaction with a dog I don't know while walking someone else's that I was entrusted the care of, is that other animals I don't know will always be unpredictable. Outside my charity work for shelters, for an even longer amount of time I've taken care of pets of many ages and breeds for family/friends going on 9 years now. I have handled many large breeds; Labradors, Huskies, Great Danes, German Shepards, Mastiffs. I have also worked with various medium and small sized breeds. My total 2 years of experience with puppies was spread out caring for and helping raise pups my sister had gotten. Between raising puppies and trying to work with pets giving me a hard time during the course of my many dog sitting jobs I have seen and learnt countless things about our furry friends! To list a few; common dog and cat habits, nutrition, toxic foods for dogs, signs of aggressive body language in pets, and abnormal behavior alongside possible causes. About: While I am new to rover I have experience with my parents senior dog and administering medications as needed, I am a proud owner of a stubborn chihuahua and my schedule is flexible to meet the individual needs of my clients. I do require a meet and greet beforehand with you and your pets to make sure everyone is comfortable and that it’s a good fit. A few things to know: 🐾 All pets behavior must match what is listed on their profile. 🐾 All pets must be potty trained. 🐾 I do not take puppies or kittens. 🐾 Any medications, dietary restrictions, behavioral issues, or special care needs need to be discussed before booking and demonstrated prior to stay.
