“Willow and Woody always love staying with Margot. As their mom, I know I have nothing to worry about when they go hangout on the farm. Margot is definitely my sitter of choice! I would recommend her to anyone”

“Coco is my mini Dachshund shadow, and fur companion. We have bonded in our 5 weeks since her adoption. She has been a great source of comfort in a quiet home since the passing of my spouse. Kimberly and her family were available to care for my lil Diva Princess, on short notice. The original boarder was no longer available and I had a trip planned to visit with my daughter out of state. I am truly grateful for the new connection we have made with Kimberly. CoCo was integrated into her family as if she was their own, and I sincerely appreciate the love and care they extended to her. Kimberly’s daughter, Ava spent a lot of time loving CoCo, playing with her, and teaching her new tricks. If you are looking for a sitter that will treat your fur pup like her own, then I encourage you to reach out and try Kimberly.”

“Naomi was great with Bandit! He was able to run around her fenced in back yard and watch murder mysteries! We got picture updates and kept up to date with all his adventures.”

“I have never left my dog with anyone that i wasn’t sure about. Morgan made me and my pup feel comfortable and safe. I really love the way she would keep me updated everyday that he was there. She worked around my schedule and helped me with any concerns I had. I highly recommend Morgan for your dog sitter ! 😊”

“Thomas and Margaret were wonderful! They were very flexible with pick up and drop off times and were communicative of how my pup was doing during his stay. I will definitely rebook with them in the future. :)”
“Lanette was very responsive and was able to take my pup during last minute changes! Sydney came home tuckered out so I’m know she had a great and very active time with friends ☺️”

“We found a jewel in Allison. She was loving to our dog Bailey and I didn’t worry one bit after I met Allison. She had her own dog for Bailey to play with and also a little boy that Bailey clearly loved! I had to go out of town for a drs appointment. It was so nice not to worry about Bailey while she was with Allison. I’ve definitely got a sitter now for Bailey when I have something to do. Thank you Rover and Allison!!”

About: 🐾 About Me Pets aren’t just pets — they’re family. ❤️ I’m a military spouse and lifelong animal lover. Before being stationed in North Carolina, I spent six years working at an animal hospital in Rhode Island, where I worked as a veterinary assistant, cared for animals in the kennel, and provided dog-sitting services. I truly understand how much our pets mean to us because I feel the same way about mine. I’ll treat your furry family members with the same love, patience, attention, and care I would want for my own. Whether they need playtime, cuddles, a walk, or simply someone to keep them company, I’d love the opportunity to care for them while you’re away. Your pets will be treated like family in my care. 🐾❤️ I’ll care for your dogs and cats with patience, love, and lots of attention while you’re away. ❤️🐶🐱 I’m available for regular walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention, while keeping each pet’s routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. Your home is your pets safe space, I'll treat it with the same care and respect I'll give your pets. During checkins, walks or playtime I will keep a close eye on their safety and follow your routines and instructions.

“Last minute booking. Nice location with a fenced backyard. I received pictures and updates while gone, along with feedback. While Areli is not Carl’s primary sitter, I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again. Thank you, ma’am.”

About: Hi! I am Christy! I’m married to Jefrey, and we have 3 lively, happy children who love dogs! We currently have no dogs ourselves but we have do have chickens in a coop. I’ve grown up with dogs and provide care for friends pets when they need. We love to provide people with trustworthy, loving care for their pets and know how important that is. I am comfortable with daily medication giving. Although I will be the only one responsible for caring for your pets, we do ask that all dogs be friendly with children and we make sure our children respect dog boundaries. We have a large 6ft privacy fence in the back yard with the front and sides of the fence being privacy fence, and the back part of the fence is chain link. The dogs will be free to go in and out throughout the day as they please. I recently had to leave my job to stay home and care for my children, so I have plenty of time to be home and take care of your pets while you are away! In the morning, we would get up and let the dogs outside to go potty and get some fresh morning air. They will have plenty of opportunity for cuddles or playtime throughout the day, and will be able to go in and out as they please. I have three children who love animals. All dogs must be child friendly, and I will make sure that my children are respectful of the dog's boundaries. We have a fenced in back yard and plenty of space for them to run and play.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Husseys Crossroads home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Husseys Crossroads.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Husseys Crossroads sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
