About: I am a work from home mom with a family that loves animals of all shapes and sizes. My kids and I foster infant animals and special need adult dogs and cats regularly and have cared for dogs and cats of all sizes. Our animals are fully vaccinated, boosted and spayed and receive regular preventative treatments for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Our home is large with a yard to match, in a safe and accessible location. Our boarders and day care pets become like part of the family during their stays and we’re happy to have multiple repeat visitors! I also offer drop in visits for animals who are more comfortable staying at home and make sure to spend the majority of drop in time playing or giving scratches and petting once I’m done feeding/watering/cleaning any messes they might have left. We just outside Converse and I can travel to you within 10 miles of home. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so on school days, dogs spend the day with me either relaxing in my office (complete with carpet and bed for them), outside with me and our lazy lab, playing in and outside, or finding a spot on our overstuffed sofas. I’m lucky enough to choose my hours, so when I have higher need dogs, I’m able to spend as much time with them as they need. When the kids are home, there’s plenty of fun times for dogs and cats that want it and plenty of quiet spots for those who prefer their own space. For drop in visits, I make sure to announce myself when I come in so the animals aren’t surprised by a face they’ve sometimes seen only at one meet and greet. Once I’ve taken care of physical needs, spending time with pets doing whatever it is they prefer is the best part of pet sitting! At home, we get even more time to learn each animal’s habits, likes, and dislikes. There are lots of cozy spots, toys, and beds to sleep in and by the time pups leave our house, they feel like part of the family!

About: I've been a dog mom for as long as I can remember. I was available for friends and coworkers in Houston to check in on dogs when their families would go out of town. I've fed dogs, played with them, provided medications and taken dogs on walks (unless it’s too hot). I enjoy spending time with puppers. My house has a big backyard with plenty of shade for dogs to roam around and play chase! We have closed every crack and crevice so no small dog can escape. 😊 I've have hosted several dogs before and I know I will be a loving companion to your best friends. I have a basset hound who is very friendly. She's 2 years old and very playful. She's known to push boundaries from time to time, but quickly backs off if dogs want to be left alone. She is skittish or scared of bigger dogs at first but overall, she would love the company of your furry friend. I am a teacher so I am available most of the summer and Christmas break to watch dogs. I usually follow the same schedule my hound has. Dogs stay with us in our bedroom. We let them out in the morning but we always accompany them since we think supervision is best. Then we feed them based on time/schedule and for playtime, we either go outside and throw a frisbee or we play fetch in the living room/foyer. If I have to go to work, I ask that you bring a kennel for your furry friend. We have our hound pretty disciplined and treat motivated so we encourage dogs to listen to commands for treats. I have a fenced yard where dogs can run around and play. We always supervise outside. My basset hound is very playful and has never shown aggression. We do not allow dogs on furniture so I kindly ask for owners to provide a bed. I can take dogs on morning walks if it’s not too hot. Dogs are able to chill in the living room in the evening and enjoy the occasional bone/treat when well behaved. (if allowed.)
