About: Over 20 years of experience, including elderly dogs and puppies. I love dogs and enjoy walks, park visits, games and couch snuggles. I know how important it is that your fluffy family members are taken care with as much love and stability as possible when you are away. I currently have a 10 month old standard poodle and she is my whole world. I understand how important this job is! I am an artist and work part time at my home studio. My flexible work schedule allows plenty of time for dog walks, park visits, play, attention and engagement throughout the day. I have a fully fenced in yard and a very friendly (well socialized) 10 month old standard poodle who loves having friends to play with. Our home is 4,200 square feet with plenty of space for dogs to play and settle in. We also have the first floor entirely puppy proofed, making it safe for even the youngest of curious explorers.

About: From working/volunteering at shelters to pet sitting for friends and family, I have 10+ years of experience caring for furry friends of all ages, personalities, and sizes! Most all of my pet care has been limited to cats and dogs, but I am willing to work with small critters, birds and reptiles with the right care instructions/tutorials. I am not typically squeamish, so I am open to handling clean up and medication - please message me for specifics. As a dog mom myself, I understand that each pet requires different levels of care and attention, and am willing to meet them where they’re at! However, I do not offer training services and might not be the most compatible caretaker for pets that exhibit aggressive behaviors (I am open to discussing). Additionally, I am a full time graduate student, so care in the early morning and evenings will work best for my week day schedule. I will be available some holidays (i.e., Thanksgiving). My availability may also change from time to time, so please be sure to check my profile or message me. Choosing me means your pet will receive quality care, and that all the updates you receive will include cute pics! As a full time student, my weekday availability might mean limited check-ins, but your pet is always the priority! - Monday & Tuesday: 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM; after 5 PM - Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM; after 7 PM - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM; after 5 PM - Friday: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM; after 3:00 PM - Saturday & Sunday: Flexible! I will need a few hours in the morning and some afternoons to volunteer. For pet sitting, I can provide the following: - Feeding and hydration - Exercise and play - Maintenance and cleaning of pets environment (e.g., litter box, crate, etc.) - Medication administration - Light housekeeping (e.g., bringing mail in, watering plants, taking out trash, etc.) - Text/photo/video updates

“Nikki did an excellent job caring for our puppy, Moose, and Kitty, our 10yo cat! She stayed in our home, which was great for our pets, because in the past we’ve utilized drop-in sitters, and they did not drop-in as often as they should have. But with Nikki there, they had plenty of attention since she was staying at our house and working from our house. She went above and beyond in making sure that our house was clean when we arrived home. She sent pictures and updates and even watered our vegetable plants while we were away. If you need an in-home pet sitter that will lessen the stress on your pets (and you) while you are away from home, consider Nikki!”

Our dogs have huge personalities, some bizarre behaviors, and special needs (and so does our weird old rental house) and she handled all of it with aplomb. Our resident canine klutz tore his paw pad the night before we left, and even though we totally sprung this development on Molly at the last minute, pro that she is, she jumped in and changed his dressings, kept the area clean, AND kept the dog calm to prevent further injury. “I had Carolina do some dog sitting in my home while I was out of town and I could not be happier. She took great care of my senior dog, Joey. He had plenty of exercise and walks, was well loved, she kept him great company and treated him like he was her own. Joey has some medical issues and requires medications throughout the day and she was very diligent about following his schedule. She gave constant updates, pictures and videos, which was much appreciated. Carolina was extremely respectful of my home, and pretty sure my place looked better than when I left.
