I pursued this passion academically by earning a degree in Animal Science and professionally by spending five years in the horse industry, where I gained experience in veterinary care, herd and barn management, as well as training and showing. In addition, I have experience with puppy training and basic obedience, and I’ve completed courses to certify my own dogs as Canine Good Citizens. Now settled with my husband, who is active-duty military, I enjoy providing calm, reliable, home-style care for pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well-loved while their families are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m a stay-at-home mom to one baby boy who already loves his furry “brothers,” which means I’m home most of the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I live a simple, calm lifestyle and enjoy adjusting to each dog’s needs—whether that’s dedicated playtime for high-energy dogs, structured walks, or a relaxed day with couch time and snuggles. About: Animals have always been at the center of my life, as a child my mom and I showed dogs almost every weekend. With that came the responsibility of feeding, socializing, grooming, and cleaning up after furry friends. In those years I met many different breeds and learned so much about the needs and habits of dogs. In my adult years, I never lost that love, always having pets of my own and finding such joy in caring for them I decided to start looking into making a career out of what I love the most. This led to a job with Petco where my knowledge of animal care was extended beyond just dogs and cemented that working with animals was something I couldn't live without. I still help out at my local store with stocking and am in school for veterinary technology. In the past I have worked at a veterinary hospital giving comfort to animals who come to visit, drawing blood, assisting in appointments, walking dogs, general cleaning duties, and providing company to animals staying for extended periods of time. I am able to administer medication to animals during sitting if necessary and am also a huge fan of fetch/ tug and all the other fun doggie activities for our more active friends. Although my love for dogs is beyond measure, kitties are my weakness, no furry friends are excluded. Please reach out for any of your pet sitting or dog walking needs! I currently work full time but do have flexible scheduling. I am available for morning walks or drop ins between 8:30-11 on most weekdays. I would never accept a job where I did not believe I could give your furbaby adequate time. I know how important routine is to animals and I will follow any instructions given to tee. I do not offer care in my home as my apartment does not allow but when I care for your animals they will be treated as if they are my own.
