About: I grew up on an acreage surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, chickens, bees, and just about everything in between! Caring for animals has been a normal part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m a young adult who loves people, animals, and adventure. Outside of pet sitting, I work in EMS, have served as a pastor, and am pursuing work in humanitarian aid. Those experiences have taught me to be dependable, compassionate, attentive, and calm when unexpected things happen. I’m also very active and love being outdoors, so if your dog wants long walks, playtime, or an adventure buddy, I’m all in. And if your pet would rather curl up on the couch and have some company, I’m pretty great at that too! Most importantly, I understand that you’re trusting me with a member of your family. I’ll care for your pets (and your home!) with the same kindness and attention I’d want someone to give my own. My schedule is flexible, which makes pet sitting a great fit for me! “Traveling for my stepdaughter's destination wedding in Trenton, GA / Chattanooga TN and realized that the week long wedding plans involved 2 days where my dogs would be alone in our AIRBNB house for way too many hours for the rehearsal/cocktail evening 8 + hours and the wedding day 12+ hours. Laura was mindful of each of their distinct personalities and even offered to give Lemon his heart medication if needed. She realized during the first drop in that Luna would take some gentle guidance to trust her as well as Lemon who on her own, Laura devised a method to get him outside to go have a bathroom break. All instructions and suggestions were followed with great care and she provided pictures & updates delivering me comfort. To be able to trust a stranger in a rented home and with your fur babies is not a situation one wants to be in but I had to think of the dogs needs and trust Laura. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Please be aware that this is in home boarding but I do utilize 5x5 kennels for safety when dogs are not with me. They are not allowed to free roam or interact with other guests unsupervised. I have years of experience in the veterinary field, rescue, boarding, and training. Not only can I administer medications, spot early symptoms of illness, and prevent injury/sickness, but I also am very experienced in animal behavior, how the dogs mind works, and can adapt to every individual dog to make sure their stay is enjoyable. I strive to create an environment where every dog can be safe and happy and would love to do so for your pup! We focus on quality over quantity which means that every dog has the option to be taken outside individually or with a group (pending a behavior analysis). They can get lots of play time, or lots of rest time, depending on their temperament and what helps them feel the most at ease. We have spacious suites to allow for siblings to stay together when needed and accommodate toy breeds all the way up to giant breeds. All suites include a bed, AC/heating, as many trips outside as your pup desires, and all the love they could ever want. This is what I do full time so I am with the dogs throughout the day. They are the first thing I do in the morning and last thing before bed. We have fenced play yards, indoor kennels, heating, AC, and are home all day. We strive to keep your dogs safe and happy during their stay.
