“Emily was wonderful. She followed my instructions exactly, and provided periodic updates, so I did not have to worry about my pets’ wellbeing. My dogs loved her and they all cuddled a lot, so my pets were very well taken care of.”
2. Sara R.
“I thought she did an exceptional job with my girls. I was very happy with how she handled them while we were gone. I loved the photos and videos she sent to us. Really made us feel assured. She also left us a journal of each day, was not necessary, but we enjoyed reading it.”
3. Samantha M.
“Samantha is an extremely caring individual, EXTREAMLY towards animals, she’s a dog lover for sure and a dog mom herself, I’ve had her take care of my dog for the last 3 years whenever I’m not able to, she always takes him on walks, feeds him, baths him and just overall keeps him happy and healthy, she’s an amazing dog handler as well!”
4. Aliya G.
“Aliyas has a kindness in her tha makes her the perfect person to care for animals. She has watched my dogs and cats many times when I am on vacation. She is compassionate and gentle with them and gives updates on their well being. She also has found multiple abandoned animals in the time that I have known her. She gets them the medical attention they need, including preventative care, and works to find them the right home and family”

About: I have been housesitting in the UK, as you can see from my reviews in photos, but now back in Michigan and reactivating my profile here. I love all animals and am sensitive to their needs and preferences, whether they are affectionate and like a lot of attention or if they are shy and prefer to hide. My usual approach for the first few days is to give treats or otherwise get them to associate me with food, and then they usually can tolerate me from there. :) I know it can be confusing or stressful at first for them to have their family gone and someone else in their house instead, but it's still so much better than going to a kennel, and I like to think of it as being a friend who comes over and helps them enjoy life until their family returns. My general housesitting process is to arrive at the previously-agreed upon date and time, texting a photo and brief message to check-in if owners are already gone. I spend a few minutes connecting with the pets and checking everything over, and then give a potty break and/or walk. From there it's about following all instructions from the owners and making sure the pets are relaxed and comfortable with me in their home, with two walks per day and lots of cuddles and play. I also allow them to sleep on the bed with me. I do not give them human food unless previously instructed -- one exception might be that cheese is a brilliant vehicle for delivering a hidden medication. I send twice daily updates, morning and evening, with photos and a brief report on how it's going and any minor issues or questions. For major issues, which I have not ever experienced, I appreciate having emergency contact information of a local family member or neighbor. I currently work long days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I can still do overnights on those days, but it would be best if you have someone who can pop in for a potty break a couple times during the day. Otherwise, I am totally free to devote my time to your pets. I spend my last few hours before departure cleaning up after myself, including stripping the bed (if time permits I’ll run through the laundry cycle), vacuuming, wiping down bathroom and kitchen surfaces, and straightening and tidying as needed. Owners can expect to come home to a clean space, in the same or better condition than when I arrived. I do ask that the house is fairly clean upon my arrival. That said, I have worked professionally as a cleaner and organizer, so if you need extra help with cleaning, decluttering, or organizing and would like these services as an add-on, please let me know. It’s a great opportunity to come home to a fresh start. Additional info: -Please double-check that your dates are accurate, as I can only guarantee availability for the dates we agree to and have booked. If it turns out your travel time extends beyond these dates, or if you are delayed, you can check my calendar or ask if I'm available, and I'll do my best to help, but in case I'm not able to, you should have an emergency contact who can help in this scenario. -You can rest assured that I do not cancel. I understand the stress that cancellation places on people, especially since it has been done to me, and this is not something I want to cause. I enjoy repeat customers and positive reviews. :) -Please be sure your pets and home are treated for fleas, as I am going into many different homes with pets. -I do not have guests over, it will be just me in your home. I do not smoke, and I only drink if offered one socially. -As a single woman, for my own security I keep the doors locked at all times and do not answer the landline or door, unless requested by owners and expected ahead of time, such as a delivery. -My fee is a flat rate of $40/night. Rover is setup to charge per pet and I can't modify it until after a request comes in, which I can then customize. So if you have multiple pets and are quoted $40/pet when requesting, don't let it stop you, I will adjust the quote to the flat rate of $40/night if we decide to book. If you have more than two dogs, I have an additional rate of $15/extra dog to cover extra walks and cleaning. -I am fine to use Rover TOS for the first sit. I also have my own simple contract if you prefer. Thank you for reading and entrusting your pets and home to my care! I currently work long days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I can still do overnights on those days, but it would be best if you have someone who can pop in for a potty break a couple times during the day. Otherwise, I am totally free to devote my time to your pets. I do not have any pets at home at this time, which is one reason I am free to petsit and enjoy it so much. I give pets my full attention and make them my priority. I keep the house in tidy condition during my stay, and clean up after myself thoroughly upon departure.
6. Louis D.
“Louis took great care of our 3 dogs! He kept excellent communication with us, and sent us pictures. We will definitely be trusting him with our dogs and our home again!”
7. Megan S.
“I am more than happy with the service provided by Megan (and Scott). I asked they take Frank on a walk because he had been crated for a few hours, feed him and just hang out for a while. They went beyond, by taking him on 2 walks, sending several pictures of a smiley happy dog and communicating throughout the visit what Frank was up to. They are friendly, knowledgeable about dogs and training, timely and reliable. We were at ease being gone for so long knowing Frank was in good hands. I will absolutely use them again when we need someone to take care of our boy.”
8. Cher D.
“Cher took wonderful care of our pets while we were away this weekend!”
9. Linda N.
“All my dogs LOVE Linda! Because Linda comes to our house to watch my dogsy animals, my dogs no longer have to take medication while I'm away. Linda is very caring with all our animals; horses, chickens, pigs and other farm animals, they all seemed to be relaxed with her. I highly recommend Linda, she is amazing!”

12. Heather Y.
“Heather did great with our two three-year-old huskies for our almost 2 week trip. They can be very energetic and she made sure they got plenty of time to play outside and let them out every 2 hrs. She sent us picture and video updates and was a great communicator. She kept the dogs well taken care of and we came home to a clean house and happy pups! ✨ Will hire again when we go out of town. Highly recommend.”

About: I have taken care of many different animals in my life. Horses, cats, guniea pigs, rats, gerbils, dogs, rabbits, lizards and snakes. I love them all. I have done all different types of animal care and want to help others out when I am able. I can take of horses, cows, goats, dogs, cats, lizards and more. Just let me know! Pricing would vary with different animals that are larger than a dog, and smaller than a cat. :) I work full time. An 8 to 5 job. I am able to help out on the weekends when I have nothing going on, after work for drop ins or I can even house sit for you too. Just need a weeks notice. 😊 I care for them with love and care. I will listen close to your instructions and make sure they are taken care of as though you were home.
