Doggy Day Care in Eureka

About: I’ve been an animal rescuer since childhood, and have raised my children (12-20) to do the same. My most recent official role in animal care and rescue has been via fostering dogs and cats through the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Unofficially, I have been a proud dog mama for 11 years, and cat mama off and on since childhood. My resident doggo Patches is a proud foster father, and is comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages. If you have a pup or cat that could use a cuddle buddy while you are away, Patches is your guy. I am comfortable with and have experience in caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and small reptiles. I do have a particular aversion to cricket feeding, but we can make it work with super worms lol I do not know much about fish or amphibian care, but I am open to learning. I am a stay at home parent with my youngest children entering middle and high school, so my schedule is fairly open. I’m looking for furry friends to hang out with while I’m home during the day. It’s gets a little lonely in here 😊 I unfortunately do have a disability that impacts the right side of my body. Because of this, I am nervous about larger dogs that jump often (not just excited hellos), or who have strong prey drives and could potentially drag me on a walk. My dog Patches (50lbs) is walked with a gentle lead harness to keep things safe for both of us. I can handle dogs his size - or a bit larger - who do not jump, or who are low energy and would prefer to hang in the backyard rather than taking longer walks. I care for all animals as I would a human family member. I am comfortable with normal day to day care, as well as those who require special needs. I try to be very respectful of the personality of each pet. Some animals are nervous at first, and I’d like to respect their need for space and/or time to warm up to me. Other animals are excited to have a brand new friend, and I am too! Basically, I try to match the energy of who I am hanging out with.

About: Specializing in dog care, body language, and play engagement. My own dog is a therapy dog at CHOP and obedience trained. I prefer poodle breeds. I’m a retired school teacher. Hubby and I work from home and we are empty nesters. Dogs are our favorite humans. Even though we are both present, I would be the sole pet caregiver for your pet. Fenced in backyard, a built-in playful doodle playmate. Puppy proofed home. Love and play are the treats in my home. Must respond to name if called.

About: I have had pets of my own for many years and understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for them. I'm currently a teacher, but will have the summer off which allows me to be more flexible and available for pet care throughout the day. I have a fenced in yard that provides a safe space for dogs to play and get exercise. I make sure pets are secure at all times.

About: I currently am home full time to give your dog everything they need! My partner also works from home. I have been caring for animals my whole life. We currently have a 33 lb. rescue mini golden labradoodle that loves other dogs! She is well trained and up to date on all shots. Our dog has special dietary needs so we are very familiar with making sure that we follow all directions you leave. I will make sure that your dog goes on multiple walks and is well taken care of. No aggressive dogs or dogs with history of biting for my families safety. I am home full time currently and focused on caring for your pet! There is no time when your pet would be left alone. My partner also works from home. We have a 3 story townhouse with a deck where the dogs can hangout and play. I only accept one other dog at a time to make sure that your dog gets the attention they deserve. We do have a crate if you would like your dog to be crated at any point however they are free to roam the first floor as they would like. We also have a large neighborhood to walk your pet in, including a path that leads to Turk park.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 11. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and LOVE their dogs. I'm at school so my dad takes care of my dog when I am away. When I get home I take my dog on a walk around outside my house. We are mostly free on everyday. I have a friendly dog named Riley, He likes to play with other dogs. We do not have a fence but we have a lease holder so your dog stays safe in our care. We allow dogs to be on beds and couches.
