“What peace of mind to take our pug Lucy to stay with Jerri. Jerri is a true dog lover and dogs feel at peace and happy when they are will Jerri. Lucy never needs her anxiety medicine when she stays at Jerri's. This last visit was for 4 days and 3 nights, everything went perfectly. Jerri gives us lots of pictures, videos and text updates. We can travel in peace knowing Lucy is in good caring hands. Jerri has helped us with Lucy for many day or week trips and she is just wonderful! I can't recommend her enough. I have a highly flexible schedule and can accommodate last-minute changes as needed. Since my college coursework is asynchronous, I can adapt my work to fit around your schedule seamlessly. As a business owner who manages my own time, I prioritize reliability and responsiveness, ensuring that your pet’s needs are always met with the highest level of care and attention. Commitment to Quality Care in Your Home When caring for your pet in your home, I strive to go above and beyond to ensure both your pet's well-being and your peace of mind. If I notice anything out of place or in need of tidying, I’m happy to help—but always with your prior approval. I understand that personal preferences vary; some clients prefer to handle certain tasks themselves, while others appreciate the extra assistance. My goal is to respect your space and treat your home with the same level of care I would my own. Having spent the last two years renovating my own home, I deeply understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized environment. Safety and Pet Care Best Practices Your pet’s safety is my top priority, and I take every precaution to ensure their well-being: Secure Transportation: If I transport your pet, they will always be properly restrained with a seatbelt or pet travel carrier for safety. Leash & Walk Safety: On walks, I ensure pets do not pick up items from the ground. I also clean their paws after every outing, just as I do with my own pets. Hygiene & Health: If your pet gets dirty, I will provide a bath with your permission. Any medical concerns will be addressed immediately, and I am trained in emergency pet first aid, excluding surgical procedures. Home Security: I will ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when leaving your home. Privacy & Updates: I will only take photos of your pet for your updates and will never photograph your home without permission. Supervision & Outdoor Time: Pets in my care will never be left alone in a vehicle or outside unattended, even in my fenced yard. Cats will remain indoors unless they are harness-trained and you request outdoor time. Stranger Interaction: While on walks, your pet will not interact with strangers or other animals unless pre-approved for socialization. Pet Care in My Home Pets in my home receive dedicated supervision unless prior arrangements are made: Dogs: If a dog is staying with me and needs to be left alone for an extended period, I require a crate for their safety and comfort. However, my schedule is highly flexible, minimizing the time they are left alone. Cats: Cats may be left unsupervised in a designated, pet-safe room with regular check-ins. Handling Aggressive or Special Needs Pets I have extensive experience with fearful, reactive, and aggressive pets, but clear and honest communication is essential: Cats: I am comfortable handling feral or aggressive cats and will take the necessary time to build trust. I can administer medication as needed, but I require full transparency about their behavior to ensure safety for all. Dogs: I can accommodate dogs with minor behavioral challenges, such as leash reactivity or mild anxiety. However, for safety reasons, I cannot accept: Dogs over 50 lbs who are not at least moderately leash-trained. Dogs requiring a muzzle or choke collar in public settings. Dogs with severe aggression or unpredictable behavior. Double-Booking Policy For the safety and well-being of all pets, I do not double-book boarding, daycare, or walks unless all parties have given consent and a meet-and-greet has taken place. If multiple dogs are staying in my home at the same time, a meet-and-greet is required. Even if the dogs get along, they will not be left alone together unless securely crated. Cats and dogs boarding in my home simultaneously will be kept in separate areas with no contact.

About: I have had animals in my family since I was 10 years old and have taken great pride in their care. Any animal I have watched is treated as my own. I’m currently working part time 5 days a week so most days I will have plenty of time to play with and walk your pet(s). Animals safety is my #1 priority. I never leave anything out that could cause harm to my dog nor do I feed/ do anything that could cause it.

Madeline F.
“Maddy grew up loving animals and being outdoors. She had her fair share of rabbits, parrots, turtles, hamsters, fish, frogs, and more. However, because of others in the family with allergies, she didn't have the chance to have dogs and cats. She is fascinated by all types of animals, and researches each extensively for providing the best living environment. Now that she is an adult, she has dogs and cats at home, which are all thriving. She is very responsible, and her animals respond well to her. I would strongly recommend Maddy to care for your pets.”

Nicole G.
“In the past 7 years I’ve watched Nicole grow as an animal lover. I’ve seen the research she has done on dog training, what’s the best food, best equipment, etc. to use with dogs and cats. It has been educational watching her train her dog, Rufus, she’s always willing to learn new. There’s nobody I’d trust more to take care of my pets, than Nicole.”
