About: Hello, My Name is Ashley and Ive always had a passion for animals. Between cats, dogs of all breeds and sizes, and exotic animals, I have experience with them all! I went to a technical high school and completed a vet assisting program, where I learned how to administer meds and work as a vet assistant. After that I worked as a Kennel Technician for a couple years. I went to grooming school and learned how to become a professional groomer. After leaving the field, I have started doing pet sitting and dog walking. I am moving to New Hampshire and wanted to join Rover to provide quality care to dogs of all sizes! I also have experience working with senior pets that may need a little extra care and patience! I am currently planning on providing boarding from my home with only one or two pets at a time, so they get all of the extra love and attention! About: My love for animals started at a really young age and it only grew from there. I grew up with all different breeds from shitzus to Mastiffs each hold a special place in my heart. At 16 I started volunteering at a rescue. There I tended and cared for all different animals from horses and goats to cats and dogs. I previously owned a diabetic cat and learned how to administer insulin shots and monitor her glucose levels multiple times a day. I feed and water my animals in my home at least twice a day, snacks are often provided as well. I walk my dogs as much as necessary (typically twice a day). I always play with my cats and dogs. I have a kitten who loves playing fetch with toy mice and a 5 year old dog who enjoys hiking trips and swimming. The two dogs get groomed when needed but I brush them consistently in between grooms. Finally, I am responsible when it comes to my animals' health and notice any changes in behavior or appearance almost immediately. I find it important to keep them up to date with vaccines and any other medications they need.
