“Chelsea watched my 14 year old dog for a weekend while I was away. I think he enjoyed it so much I have never seen him act better! Highly recommend if you have an older dog or one that needs a bit more attention!”

“Celsei was so kind and sweet! Our dog seemed to feel comfortable as soon as he jumped out of the car. Celsei met us outside with one of her dogs and the meet up when great. We didn't worry about our dog once while he was in Celsei’s care. She sent us video and pictures at least once a day and kept us updated on how he was adjusting each day. It was great to see him having so much fun while we were on vacation! We will definitely use Celsei again in the future!”

“Stephanie was so sweet and attentive to our dog, Augie! I could tell she really paid attention to his needs and got to know him. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Jenna, a lifelong Bloomingtonian and best friend to every dog I’ve ever met! I am a stay-at-home mom to a preschooler and I also help manage a national non-profit rescue for French Bulldogs. I have deeply loved many bulldogs in my lifetime, and as such am very adept to handling brachycephalic breeds and their particular needs. (Though it should be noted I tend to regular-nosed breeds with the same loving care!) As a former medical assistant, I am very comfortable caring for animals with moderate medical needs, those with disabilities, seniors, those requiring medication administration, etc. I have cared for hospice dogs, dietary restrictions, Mega-esophagus, Colitis, deafness and total blindness. You could say that special needs are my specialty. I have over 20 years of experience helping folks take care of their animal babies, from Pugs to Cane Corsos, several kitties and even some reptiles in between. Dogs have always been my best friends and luckily, lots of humans pick up on that when they meet me. Most of my experience has been private house sitting and in-home pet care for coworkers for periods of a few hours up to a few weeks. I am new to Rover, but very experienced. I currently work for a dog rescue remotely and am otherwise a stay-at-home-mom to a preschooler. I also provide daily care for one resident special needs rescue French Bulldog. I care for pets in the way that is safest for them, regardless of where that is. In my home, dogs are under my constant watch. We live far from the road (about .15 miles) but pets will be kept leashed beside me outdoors since my yard is not fenced .
“Stephanie saved us at the last minute when the plans I made for my dogs fell through. She was flexible as things continued to change and my boys came back happy and healthy!”

“Kelsie was so sweet to my dogs and they made themselves right at home. She sent me lots of pictures which was great. I really appreciated her taking them at the last minute on Memorial weekend! I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“The BEST. ♥️ I cannot say enough good things about Katherine and the experience my dog had staying with her. She was exceptionally warm, thoughtful, attentive, compassionate, loving. Beyond being nurturing, Katherine was clearly experienced in caring for dogs. My dog is 14 and Katherine went above and beyond in making sure the environment was comfortable for her. She sent photos throughout my pup's stay, and my pup was relaxed and happy in every photo. I think my dog wanted to live with Katherine after her stay. She was SO HAPPY when I brought her home. She was looking at me like "thank you so much for this vacation, mom" -- seriously. Katherine went far beyond making sure my dog was fed and safe. She was spending quality time with her, playing, and treating her with kindness and lots of affection. Leaving a dog with someone new can be a bit stressful, Katherine immediately made me felt at ease and I knew my dog would be in wonderful hands while I was away. You could not ask for a better sitter. 🐺 🫶”

About: I've been providing reliable, loving pet care since 2017, with most of my experience caring for pets in their own homes where they feel comfortable and secure. As I expand my services to include boarding in my home, I'm excited to offer a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for your furry family members. I'm a proud dog mom to three friendly girls, each around 25 pounds, who love making new friends and sharing their home with visiting pups. They are well-socialized, enjoy playing with other dogs, and are always excited when a new guest comes over for a sleepover. Whether your pet is staying overnight or for an extended visit, you can count on them receiving plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and care—just like one of my own. 🐾 I work full-time, so my schedule closely mirrors a typical Monday–Friday routine, which can help provide consistency for pets that are used to being home during the workday. My three dogs are crate-trained and comfortably spend time resting while I'm at work. I also have opportunities to work from home on occasion, allowing for extra supervision and interaction throughout the day. If your furry family member needs a midday potty break, I'm happy to come home during my lunch break to accommodate their needs. Outside of work hours, pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and companionship as part of our daily routine. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment that feels as close to home as possible. 🐾 I provide a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where pets are treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard, and all dogs are supervised during outdoor time, whether they're taking a potty break, exploring, or enjoying playtime. Safety is always my top priority, so pets are never left unattended outside. Inside the home, pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, and opportunities to relax and play. I work to maintain a routine that helps pets feel comfortable and secure while they're away from home, ensuring they get the care, exercise, and affection they need throughout their stay. 🐾
“Caroline watched my puppy for 3 nights and was great! My dog was very well taken care of and had so much fun. She was taken to the dog park and went on so many walks. Definitely recommend her!”

About: I own a King Charles Cavalier and a German Shepherd currently! I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana with multiple foster and adopted animals! My mother instilled a serious love and adoration for people and their favorite pets. I volunteered at our local animal shelter, was trained in multiple animal science courses, and was taught to love and respect the animals I work with, both domesticated and exotic. I have handled dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, foxes, raccoons, bobcats, farm livestock, petting zoo animals, and more. I love them and have tons of professional experience to give your fur-baby the best experience possible. Please feel free to message or call whenever needed and I am more then happy to accommodate ANYTHING you or your sweet pet needs. I have lots of time on my hands, currently we start our mornings with a good meal and a long walk along our neighborhood. We will head to the house for a quick nap or so that our older dogs and puppies can rest. We then head to either the local state park or a dog park for some new stimulation. When we return home, we have some free time with toys and puzzles, enjoy another good meal, take another long, walk around the neighborhood, and then cuddle on the couch or in the beds until bedtime. I don’t have a fence in yard however, we have multiple leashes here as well as one that you would prefer to use. All of our animals are continuously monitored, I work part-time, and we also have cameras in the house. Feel free to request photos or videos of your baby at any point in time.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Elwren
This was Dottie’s first time being boarded and we learned that she annoys the f out of other dogs when not under the watchful eye of mom, so we will probably seek different options next time. All that to say, Tawny was very communicative and took great care of Dottie while I was away. We got home and she is already fast asleep so I know she had a very engaging weekend. The outside area is amazing for the dogs and I think if you have boarded before and know your dog does well without owner supervision with other dogs, this is the place to be.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Elwren home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Elwren.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Elwren sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
