About: My family had dogs when I was growing up, so I've been around dogs a long time. When I got married and bought a house, I couldn't wait to get a dog. I've been married 56 years and have always had a dog, except for a few years before I retired. The family dog "Maggie" had passed, the kids were off to college, husband and I both worked. I decided it wouldn't be fair to have a dog just to leave him alone, so I waited until I retired. My last day at work was December 19, and I had "Sophie" by December 21. So excited to have a dog back in my life! I have trained puppies and older dogs, and have done agility training with one of my dogs, as well as basic training with all our dogs. Now that the kids are grown, the dogs have become the babies and are spoiled just like the kids were. I am a " pet grandparent " to Major a dog, and Solomon, a cat, who I take care of when needed. I also took care of my friends dog for 7 weeks while she was rehabbing from an accident. I'm retired, so I have lots of time for your dog. I can walk with them, play with them or just chill out for cuddle time if that's what your dog likes. I am close to a dog park, so that is also an option. I have 2 older dogs and a new guy who is only 6. (He was one of my Rover dogs that I took in when he needed a new home.) They are all family, and are welcome on the furniture and bed. Your dog will be welcome there too, unless that is something you don't allow. I will follow your rules. If your dog is more comfortable in a kennel, I can do that, too. I would need to know how your dog gets along with people and other dogs, so we would definitely do a meet and greet. I CAN NOT take males that have not been neutered/fixed, and I CAN NOT take females in heat. IF YOUR DOG HAS TROUBLE WITH STAIRS, I HAVE RAMPS OFF THE FRONT AND BACK PORCH. I ALSO HAVE A RAMP INSIDE FOR A STEP DOWN TO THE DEN, AS WELL AS RAMPS TO THE SOFA AND BED.

I have lots of space and company, (if preferred) and I also specialize and am very experienced with aggressive, traumatized, puppies, seniors, and even special needs. I’ve decided to go out on a limb and do this full time. I am typically available 24/7 that is subject to change but availability will be updated I have a fairly large, secure, and gated backyard. I also own a large professional grade kennel and also smaller (sleeping kennels ) for privacy and securitycurrently own 2 dogs both both large but friendly l. My male Django is my 11 year old male he’s old, wise and very gentle. Rose is my loving dog daughter who is about 5 and very sassy, active, but also very obedient . They are accustomed to having company come and go. Your dog will be receive love … cleaning… attention and careful provisions CHARGE FREE. The only service I currently charge for is boarding . Everything else is FREE

About: I have taken care of pets since I was a child. I grew in a mini zoo. We had cats, dogs, rabbits, pigeons, roosters, monkeys, turtles and civets just to name a few. I love animals in general and think take care of them makes the world a better place. I have a Job that allows me to work from home so I am always available to check on your fur baby several times during the day! I also live about 20 min from the airport so even if I'm far from you and you need to travel and need boarding, my place is very convenient for drop off and pick up from the airport. I have a fenced yard if your fur baby needs to run or walk around and play! I can crate them as well if there is a need for it.

My passion for animals has lead me to be a regular volunteer at the Michigan Humane Society before moving to GA, I’ve helped dog moms birth their pups and I’ve even fostered 18 cats and kittens (not all at once lol ) who have now found loving homes. I currently have 4 pets, 1 young Bernedoodle, 1 senior shitzu mix and 2 calico cats. All of my animals are friendly with other animals and range in age so I am very comfortable administering medication, going on regular walks, potty training and even just providing a calm and quiet place for the senior babies to relax. I have plenty of outdoor space in the backyard (fenced in on 3 sides) for play and have a 6 year old who is eager for some additional responsibility. She will be helping with feeding and cleanup (supervised always). I am excited to meet you and your fur babies to see if we are a good fit! I am able to ensure that your requested schedule for your pet is maintained- any scheduling conflicts will be brought up immediately. I also share lots of pictures and notes throughout the day. I stick to a pretty consistent schedule with my own pets and have no problem sticking to a feeding/water/bathroom/medicine schedule for your pets. I value cleanliness in my home so i do not have much for pets to get into or chew besides regular dog toys. I keep all doors throughout my home closed so that pets cannot enter into those rooms unattended. Outside I have cameras on the front and back of my house and although your pet will not be unattended, this is for additional peace of mind.

About: We are retired known in our neighborhood as Dog Mom & Dad because we take care of stray dogs, find their owner, and sometimes take them in if we cannot find their owner. For over 40 years we have had one or more dogs, all from rescue centers or from our local vet who will refer us to owners who are no longer able to care for their furry buddy. Our goal is to replicate the schedule and environment your pet is accustomed to, give the love and attention that your pet gets at home and reinforce the training you have implemented. Safety and security are important to us; consequently, we have developed an intake process that assures other pets in our care have the proper vaccinations to protect our other “guest.” Therefore, a pre-stay consultation is REQUIRED to ensure that the appropriate vaccinations are current, and any special needs are identified. We live in a quiet neighborhood, with very little traffic. We have a completely fenced back yard with cameras to record all activity. We are both retired and assure you that your pet will be supervised twenty-four by seven. Text, pictures, and videos will be sent daily. For boarding in home stays, if you drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening a daycare charge will be for the last day. Hours: Drop-offs and pick-ups accepted at our home from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 4 pm to 6 pm Sunday. We will transport your dog (6-mile radius from our home only). Messages returned between 7 am and 7 pm. Meet and greets in our home scheduled between 10 am and 5 pm. We’re both retired and have plenty of time for playtime, hugs and cuddles. We're available to provide short trips and outside walks during the day. We have a completely fenced in back yard and have plenty of time to keep your fur baby happy. Our furry friends are free to roam around as they please. Your pet will be fed at least twice a day (morning & afternoon) unless on a specific diet/regimen that will be followed.

Fur babies will not be left alone for more than 1-2 hours at a time. My pick-up and drop-off hours are between 7 am-7 pm, if drop-off or pick-up times need to be before or after these times I ask that you please send the request for the day before/after.
