“We booked Barbara for a drop in visit with our 65 pound dog for Christmas Day. We did a meet and greet first which was nice. She was prompt for the visit and great with communication. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Great experience! We booked a quick drop-in visit before an upcoming house sit, and everything went wonderfully. She was punctual, friendly, and took the time to get to know our pets and their routines. We felt very comfortable with her and are looking forward to having her stay with our pets while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“James is THE best! Our pup loves James. He is highly reliable and has great communication. We’ve booked with him multiple times and will continue to be repeat customers. Thank you James for all you do!”

“Andrew cared for our 7 cats for 8 days, two visits daily, and did a great job. He had to clean five litter boxes, change five water bowls and a fountain, feed different diets and even give medication twice daily for one of the cats. He sent us photos, communicated as needed and kept up with keeping the boxes refilled and sweeping up excess litter. He brought in mail and packages too! Will definitely book with Andrew again!”

“If we could give Naomi 10 stars we would!!! Naomi is such a caring, thoughtful, and dependable person. Our experience was great, Naomi took such care of our two kitties and went above and beyond providing constant updates and pictures putting us totally at ease while we were away. We HIGHLY recommend Naomi!”

“This was our first time using a pet sitter, other than family, and we are extremely pleased with the experience. Cassie went above and beyond, taking care of our cats and home while we were away. Even our very shy cat, who takes days to come out while visitors are here, was out within a day and looking forward to her visits. Regular updates, photos, and personable accounts of the visits all added up to easing our minds about how the cats were doing, and we can't thank Cassie enough for her care of 2 of our furry family members! Highly recommend and will be calling Cassie for sure next time we need someone to watch the cats.”

“Brittany is amazing! As soon as we met her both my dog and I were at ease. Brittany has a vast amount of experience with pets. She was promptly on time and took great care of our German Shepherd. Brittany went above and beyond taking care of our girl as if she was one of her pups. She provided detailed reports too. We look forward to having Brittany back in the future.”

About: I have experience with cats with health issues and giving medications. My 18 yr old has CKD and a few other issues he gets supplements for that keep him going. I have volunteered with cats at an animal shelter and helped with dog adoption events as a dog handler. My schedule is very open at the moment so I'm available for whatever is needed. I have 3 cats so I do need to be home several times a day to care for them. My cats are indoor only but I take my 18 year old out on a leash on walks around the yard, but he mostly prefers to be carried. I'm happy to take other cats on walks if they are harness trained, or just play with them indoors. Dogs I will walk of course and play with as needed.
“Adrienne was very thorough in taking care of our fur babies. She went above and beyond telling us how our cats were doing and sending pictures with each visit. She interacted with the cats and even the antisocial one liked her. As anxious fur baby parents, the peace of mind that she gave us was priceless. We will definitely be rebooking with her and highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies.”

“Samantha was very good with our lab Jake! She showed up to each visit in a timely manner. Pictures of Jake and good communication was appreciated. I would not hesitate to use Samantha again; the weekend went great!”

“Greg did a great job with Jack! He stopped by before his bookings for 2 meet and greets to make sure Jack was comfortable. He went above and beyond with the walks, hangouts and training. We’re excited to book Greg again and we know Jack is too.”

“Katrina is so loving and conscientious, she made me feel so comfortable being away! I knew my cat was being loved and cared for! I very highly recommend her for your pet for just a drop in or something else! She is kind, caring and her level of communication is exactly what any pet owner would want! 😌”

“Jazmin did a great job! She seemed to genuinely care for our cat, Cleo, even though it was her first time watching her. She did Cleo’s routine, played with her, and gave her attention. Cleo can be a picky and talkative senior cat, and Jazmin was dedicated to providing good care.”

“Shannon has been amazing… she has helped us out for both an overnight visit and a drop in. She is so sweet to Benji and always makes sure that he feels extra love and doesn’t miss us! She’s kept up his schedule and exercise and is very aware of his heart condition and doesn’t push him. She is very helpful and polite. Would definitely use her over and over!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Egg Harbor City. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
