I truly enjoy spending time with animals and am happy to accommodate your pup’s individual routine and needs. Our home sits on 3 acres, including approximately 1 acre of fully fenced backyard space where dogs can safely enjoy plenty of room to play and explore. I am currently working part-time in a remote position, which provides me with a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate ample time and attention to caring for pets. About: Animal Care and service was my career and my passion for many years, since I was a child. I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from several Humane Societies and Animal Care Centers over the years. Loving, Caring for and protecting Animals have always been my passion as well as serving in my community. This is my opportunity to share my home, my passion and my love for animals with your (furry) family member and I am excited about that. I have always appreciated the trust, loyalty and respect given to me by the owners that love their dogs, simply put! It’s just a wonderful feeling to be around all that love. I am officially retired so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry family member, I also have a flexible schedule so that I can offer several Animal Care Services I have a gated front yard, fenced rear yard and a secure pool area if your dogs likes to have water fun, additional secure small Animal play Area (my Boston’s love it). The security cameras also give that little extra feeling of safety. I have crates, dog beds and private quiet rooms for the Animals to sleep or rest in if needed so your animal always feels totally at home. (because that’s the real goal!❤️).
About: I have lived with cats my whole life. Yet, since then, I happily decided to adopt my 4 beautiful dogs. I couldn't be happier taking care of them plus my cats. I also babysit 2 of my friends dogs and cats at times. All 5 dogs get along great and they keep each other company when I am here and when I am gone. I have also stayed at a couple people's houses and watched their pets while they were out of town. I am available at different times throughout the day but I can also be available at some nights. I enjoy spending time with animals, playing with them and helping them feel safe and comfortable. The other three days, I feed horses, so I am more limited on what I can do. I hate whenever I see animals that are bored or neglected. I am currently working part-time, but I am perfectly willing to spend what extra time I have taking a dog for a walk or playing catch. Plus, I love taking care of kitties too. I take care of anyone's pets as if they were my own. I want for them to feel as happy, safe and loved as possible.
“Alana was great with our dog! She took care of her, played with her, and made sure she was safe while we were away. We’d highly recommend Alana and look forward to using her services again in the future!”

“Hattie is amazing! Affectionate with my cats, patient, great communication, and goes the extra mile. I highly recommend her and will hire her again! She took care of my pets for a week and they loved her! Thanks for everything!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽”

I think is very flexible and I feel like with my schedule now is very good because I can take care of him all day and then class is late at night, at that time my younger brother is home and he stays with the pet till I am home! Everyone is the household pitches in and the pet doesn’t spend time alone, they will be taken on walks if needed and will sit with them out in the yard for however time needed! I take of pets at my home like another human being, we love them, clean them, and put priority for them. They never go unnoticed and they always get the time each and every pet deserves! If there’s any special accommodations they will be applied to make everyone comfortable and safe!

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and had an English Bulldog for almost 8 years as well as a bull mastiff growing up, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. Over the years, I’ve also pet sat and dog walked for neighbors, friends, and family. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, giving lots of attention, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m looking to broaden my pet-sitting and dog walking experience and would love the opportunity to care for your pets like they’re my own! I’m currently a full-time online student, so I’m home most of the day and have a very flexible schedule. Aside from going to the gym or running an occasional errand, I’m usually home, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and love throughout the day! Since my classes are online, I’m able to easily work pet care into my daily routine and make sure your dog isn’t left alone for long periods of time. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard with plenty of grass and room for dogs to play, run around, and get fresh air safely. I also don’t currently have any dogs in my home, so your pet will get my full attention and won’t have to worry about unfamiliar animals. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I also love taking dogs on walks and can adjust the length and pace depending on their age, energy level, and usual routine.

“We have 9 pets (4 dogs, and 5 cats). One takes medication. 2 older cats need to be isolated from a younger “mean” cat, and our deaf dog has an anxiety disorder. Rebecca took care of our sweet little crew for 9 days while we were out of the country. I highly recommend her. She showed up everyday, and sent pictures. Our older, deaf dog was getting really anxious at the beginning of our trip, and she stayed longer to help her feel better. If our gaggle of rescues loves her, we do too! Thank you Rebecca for helping us enjoy our vacation!! Will definitely use her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
