About: I've had dogs my whole life — all 40+ years of it. Reading a dog's mood, sticking to their routine, and knowing when something's off is second nature to me, not something I just picked up. And at my age, I'm past the flaky stage: I'm reliable, I show up, I communicate, and I treat your dog the way I treat my own. I'm Kristi, 43, from Sanger, and dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Right now my days revolve around my two dogs — Mina, a 2-year-old pit bull and shepherd mix who's all energy and very food-motivated, and Skai, a husky, shepherd, and lab mix who is 3-years-old and the mellow one. Between the two of them, I'm used to every kind of dog day: high-energy play, slow couch time, and everything in between. I work remotely for work so it makes it easy to be home with them all the time. Your dog joins our normal daily routine — feeding on their own schedule, walks and playtime, plenty of downtime, and a calm place to sleep at night. I have a yard with room for more dogs, and I can keep your dog separate from mine if that's a better fit — whether they need their own space or just do better one-on-one. I stick to whatever routine you give me, send you updates and photos, and if anything seems off, I call you right away and get them to a vet if needed.

About: Being well versed in most aspects of pet careers help me take care of your pets above and beyond! I've worked professionally with dogs for over six years as both a dog trainer, groomer and have done rescue and fostering, caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. My experience allows me to confidently handle everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs, while recognizing canine body language, stress signals, and changes in behavior. Your dog will receive safe, compassionate, and attentive care from someone who truly understands dogs and is committed to keeping them happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I work part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your pups! I work Wednesday-friday but can do drop in or sitting before and after work on those days. I have a fenced in yard and crates to create a safe environment for all dogs. I am also a dog trainer and have studied dog body language and can read dogs very well! I have my own dogs as well but they are all friendly to others but if it get a little too rowdy they can be separated if needed.
“Yolanda, was very professional on time and very understanding willing to go the extra mile for Chevy with a reasonable price at that. Ww will most definitely be reaching out to her again.”

About: Animal Care and service was my career and my passion for many years, since I was a child. I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from several Humane Societies and Animal Care Centers over the years. Loving, Caring for and protecting Animals have always been my passion as well as serving in my community. This is my opportunity to share my home, my passion and my love for animals with your (furry) family member and I am excited about that. I have always appreciated the trust, loyalty and respect given to me by the owners that love their dogs, simply put! It’s just a wonderful feeling to be around all that love. I am officially retired so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry family member, I also have a flexible schedule so that I can offer several Animal Care Services I have a gated front yard, fenced rear yard and a secure pool area if your dogs likes to have water fun, additional secure small Animal play Area (my Boston’s love it). The security cameras also give that little extra feeling of safety. I have crates, dog beds and private quiet rooms for the Animals to sleep or rest in if needed so your animal always feels totally at home. (because that’s the real goal!❤️).
“Amanda is truly exceptional and goes above and beyond in every way. She asks important questions upfront—including details I had forgotten—which shows me how experienced she is and how much she truly cares. She is incredibly attentive and responsible; she would not leave the house until she was certain everything was secure, even making sure the garage door situation was fully resolved. Throughout the entire time, she kept us informed, giving us 100% peace of mind. Amanda is clearly experienced with special-needs pets - she can give meds and take care of prescription diets. She is gentle and observant, knowing when to push and when not to with an ill pet. Overall, Amanda is sensitive, personable, empathetic, professional, and serious about her work—all wrapped in one amazing sitter. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She truly deserves more than five stars.”

“Bobbie has been so helpful with my dog Mylo! He is always happy to have her visit and she’s great about following through with my requested tasks and ideas to help Mylo be less anxious while I’m away.”

“Joelle is a sweetheart. She is do goid with my two crazy dogs. My dog was on antibiotics while I was on my trip & Joelle took care of it while I was gone. Ive used her several times”

About: I've taken care of small, medium, and large dogs at different levels of need such as textured food prepping, outdoor activities, proper bathroom timing, etc. With a loving heart, the dogs in my care are always provided for. I work during the day Monday through Friday but am available all evenings and all day on weekends. I try to keep active, so I enjoy the play and the exercise with the pets that need it. Depending on what the pets' schedules look like, I try to adapt to their homes and what the pet parents want, keeping things done in a timely manner and making sure they get to play in and outside the home within a designated area.
“Tamia was amazing with my cat and dog. The dog is very shy and the cat is feisty. She gave them their space as needed and both immediately took to her. She was on time for every visit and left detailed summaries. I didn’t worry a bit about my babies.”

About: Ever since I was little I’ve had people tell me how I’m an animal whisper. I have always loved dealing and spending time with any kind of animal. I have skills of giving animals medicine by pills, shots, and liquids. I am in a vet since class at my high school that has tought me lots of skills for animals. I am attending a local college that I have every other day during the week from 10-4, but have a 2 hour break in between How I care for my pets at home is making sure they have food, water and all the loves. Every morning and night I feed my 3 dogs with quality food. Sometimes I will have to give 2 of my dogs medicine when needed. Me and my dogs play all the time and have a happy life. How I deal with other family’s animals that I’m sitting for is by giving them loves, making sure they have food and water, and letting them out side when needed. I have noticed a lot of the times when I send photos of the animals to the owner they appreciate it. I am also able to take your dogs out for walks whether they need to get some energy out or to use the bathroom.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
