About: I have been a cat mom for over 2 years and recently became a foster parent. I also volunteers at a cat cafe in Harrisonburg where I feed, engage in interactive activities and provide basic care to more than 10 cats at a time. I am passionate about feline behavior, nutrition and care. I work from home and I have a flexible schedule. I can provide workday check-ins in the morning around noon and afternoon/evenings. Weekends are even more flexible. Keep cats well-being front of mind by planing engaging and appropriate play sessions to promote mental stimulation. Interact and socialize with cats to observe any health related behavior. Feeding and provide daily fresh water, familiar with administering medication, grooming, litter box cleaning and surrounding environment.

About: I grew up with several pets and have had several of my own. I currently have a Bor-doodle dog who is service trained. My family used to train and groom dogs so I’m educated on that as well! I do mentoring for children part-time at the moment. But I do make my own schedule and can fit it around all of your pets needs! I care for pets by feeding them, walking them, taking them on hikes, and making sure they get the attention they need while their owner is gone whether that is in home or in my own home!

“I have know Melissa for many years. I met her through 4-H when her kids joined our dog training club Fauquier Puppy Pals. I immedately discovered that she was very knowledgeable in training and caring for dogs and she quickly became part of our training team. She is now the club's leader and has guided many kids and dogs to the 4-H State Dog Show. In the meantime, Melissa's experience with dogs continues to expand. She is a well qualified breeder and again her knowledge is immense as she is always educating herself. Her contacts within the community are broad. You can depend on her to come into your home and care for your animals. For this reason, I have used Melissa on several occasions to care for our 3 dogs when we have been out of town. Two of our dogs are on medications/special diets and I KNOW that she ensures they get their medication and their diet is followed. I highly recommend Melissa for caring for your pets.”

About: Animals are my life, I have a 6 year old lab mix and 2 kitties that are my kids. I have experience working with animals as I work at the animal shelter during the week days. I really enjoy being around animals and would love to help take care of your baby’s! I work at the animal shelter during the day on week days but I am always free in the evenings and weekends! I do work one Saturday out of the month but will be free those evenings. I don’t mind staying in the home if that is something you would feel comfortable with! I have a dog that loves other dogs if you your baby needs a friend I also have transportation if you would like me to take them to the park or on walks.

Off season farming for us is November-April, so we have full availability! April through November availability is limited to repeat clients and as time permits. We have just under 3 acres here for play and walking, plus indoor activities. Our husky is a dog friendly, spayed female and we require your dog to do well with other dogs to be permitted at our home.

About: I have taken care of family members and neighbors pets for a little while now and I want to branch out! Dogs are my absolute favorite! I am available anytime on the weekends! I would love to dog sit or walk your lovely pups! I hope to be in contact with you soon. I would like to be able to house sit/watch pets in an owners home when needed. My home is not yet ready to have pets in yet, but hopefully soon!

About: I’ve helped my neighbor take care of his puppies and dogs for the past three years. Which included walking, feeding, bathing, and cleaning up after. Over this past year I took up dog waking for a dog adoption company. I’m currently working as a tour guide for the summer season. I attend college classes on Monday and Wednesday so I’ll have lots of time for your pups! I have a lots of land and a yard far from the road so I can play with your pup outside! I also have four beautiful dogs to keep your fur baby company!!
