“Mary was great for our last minute trip and flexible with scheduling, which was much appreciated. I love that our boy got tons of outside time while we were away. It was exactly what he needed. She provided pictures and updates daily. Our boy came home happy and tired.”

“This was the best pet sitting experience we could have hoped for! It is our first time using Rover and Laurie was an absolute delight. She treated Sadie as if she were her own and updated us daily with photos. We will 100% recommend and use her again ! 10/10!”

“My dog Murphy was returned to me as happy as he was when I left him. I was given a full report on his stay which left me with no questions. Most important, I was glad to hear how well he did with other dogs. Would entrust them with Murphy again.”

“My husband and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Anthony and Leslie. Our dogs stayed with them while we took our first vacation without them in a long time due to our larger dog’s disability. They were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure our dogs got lots of love and playtime. They communicated extremely well with us and sent us tons of photos throughout the day. Our dogs were clearly happy when we picked them up. We would not hesitate to have them watch our dogs again- we feel so lucky we found them. We 100% recommend them to anyone looking for dog sitters.”

“Amanda and her kids were very attentive to my dogs needs and took really great care of them. Amanda always responded when I messaged her about the dogs and sent me pics of their stay. I know my dogs can be alot to handle and I truly commend Amanda for taking care of my two dogs ontop of taking care of her 3 children! I was very pleased with how everything went. One of her children even sent my dogs home with a toy that was handmade for him! I highly recommend Amanda to sit your dogs they will be well taken care of!”

“This was Murphy's second stay with Lindsey and my second review. Murphy had the time of his life. I had a great trip because I knew Murphy was safe, well cared for and most of all HAPPY! Lindsey's home is so warm and friendly. I liked it there as much as he did. I will definitely book with Lindsey every time from now on. I wish I could give 10 out of 5 stars!”

“She was awesome. Very friendly and her dog was very playful and friendly. Her family is awesome with animals and my dog loved them. She sent photos while we were gone of my dog playing with the others. Would highly recommend her”

“This was our dog's second time staying with Angeline and she had a great time! Angeline shared pictures each day which was wonderful. Our dog seems relaxed and happy in their home!”

“Michael was wonderful! We felt at ease leaving our pups with him for an extended period because we knew they were very well taken care of and got plenty of attention. Michael’s love for and knowledge of dogs is evident and he’s great at what he does. We also really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to take a booking on short notice. We’d highly recommend!”
“Carly is very caring and my dog was very comfortable with her. She made sure to send updates with pictures about how things were going and was extremely accommodating when we came home early. We look forward to using Carly again!”

“Wendy took AMAZING care of our pup!!! She sent us tons of video of him during our trip and she even sent him home in a fancy outfit with a goodie bag!! I could not recommend her more!”

“Loved booking with Brittni, very easy process. She was available any time I had a question or just wanted to check in on Max. He loved it there snd I’m happy I found someone that he is comfortable with so that I don’t have to be anxious while away.”

About: I have owned dogs and cats since 1985 and was on a K9 Search and Rescue team for 18+ years so I have worked with all types of dogs and have a lot of experience with training. I currently work outside the home M-F 9-5 but can work from home upon request. Weekends I am home the majority of the time and spend most of my time hanging out with my own dogs (two labs) I have hosted a variety of dogs in my home including corgis, labs, goldens, frenchies, pitties, mals, and other assorted breeds. I treat everyone's pets just like my own - lots of treats, snuggles, couch naps, and of course sleeping on the bed if they want. Both of my labs are extremely friendly and love pretty much all dogs, but I do have experience sitting some dogs who preferred to be separate from my boys via either baby gates or kennels (depending on what the dog is comfortable with). I have a large fenced in backyard and a smaller fenced in front yard. The backyard has a doggie door that allows the dogs to go in and out at will, although when I am not home, I do not give any dogs access to the yard (even my own dogs as a safety issue).
“Nasiya is a lovely person and an avid dog lover! My young, active dog was with her nearly 3 weeks and I never had a moment of concern. I even felt a little guilty taking my Callie home because she was so happy with Nasiya and her dog Coco. Nasiya sent us lots of updates and I will not hesitate to contact her the next time we need a dog sitter!”

“We had great experience with Jena and Nick. Dexter received lots of love, personal attention, playtime, daily walks. Their pet Sebastian was a very nice dog and became great buddy of Dexter in a short time. They have a very nice and clean fenced backyard too. Dexter really enjoyed his time with Jena, Nick and Sebastian… We really appreciate their effort in making sure Dexter felt it at home…Thank you Jane, Nick and Sebastian for being so lovely to Dexter.”

“Our 3 year old Boston, Cali has very high energy and is hyper focused on her ball. She’ll bark if you aren’t throwing the ball, and has an occasional accident from over excitement with new people, so we were afraid we couldn’t leave her anywhere but Tim and Devin were glad to let her stay at their house. They have a big fenced in back yard so the dogs can run which is a huge plus. They have a beautiful golden retriever that loves to play too which is a big plus because we have other dogs at home that play with Cali. We always love pics while we’re away which we got over the weekend too. It takes special people to take care of our Cali girl and we couldn’t be happier finding Tim and Devin so close to home.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
