About: I have owned at least one and as many three dogs at a time for the past 30 years. My wife is a veterinarian. For boarding, I have a spacious home, a large fenced-in yard, and I work from home so am always present. For dog walking, I can walk your dog in your neighborhood or bring him/her to the Rockingham Rail Trail near my home. I work from home and have plenty of time to care for and play with your dog (s). My wife, who is a veterinarian, is also home 4 days per week. I have a large fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pet company. I can easily crate your dog, if preferred, or can separate the dogs in different rooms via gates.
2. Donnie P.
“Donnie has been amazing with my Weimaraner puppy! He has done a phenomenal job of socializing her. As well as he’s super helpful with giving me good advice for training her!”
3. Kristi T.
“Kristi is very patient with my energetic puppy. Her understanding of young dogs in particular gave Gracie a good first experience in her home.”
4. Tammy P.
“I would highly recommend Tammy for any and all of your pet sitting needs! She is extremely timely, kind, responsible and very loving towards all animals. She took great care of our house while we were away and even better care of our sweet golden retriever. Tammy will become family to you by the end of the caregiving duties she just has the sweetest heart. I can’t wait to go away on vacation again so we can have Tammy come over and watch our most precious boy. You will be missing out if you do not hire Tammy (auntie T) for your pets!”
5. Thora C.
“Thora has been a dog owner for over 20 years and a dog lover for even longer. Thora loves to be outdoors as much as her pups and enjoys walks in the woods and beach! Thora is a caring, loving person who cares for people and pets in the same manner. Thora has been involved in my dogs lives for a very long time, I trust Thora to give them the love, attention and walks they need when I go away.”
6. Anne S.
“FROM OLIVER'S POINT OF VIEW IT WAS PERFECT. ANN WAS KIND ENOUGH TO EMAIL A PHOTO OF HER DOG AND OUR DOG RELAXING IN HER HOUSE. WE MET THE DAY BEFORE ON THE BEACH IN HAMPTON TO INTRODUCE THE DOGS. I'M MOST GRATEFUL TO ANN, HER HUSBAND, AND ROVER FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO ATTEND OUR GRANDSON'S WEDDING.”
7. Shelby L.
“Shelby is an amazing animal lover! She has watched and walked my 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel over the last couple of years. She is also a neighbor and my pup pulls to go into her yard every time we go by! He wants to be with her and her family, for walks and to play fetch. There is not a more caring and loving person out there to care for your fur babies 🐶.”
8. Josh & Nicole G.
“Josh and Nicole were fantastic with our doodle puppy! She had a blast there and they would send pictures and videos of her. We felt comfortable leaving her there and would do it again. Highly recommend!”
9. Mike C.
“Gracie seemed to love Mike at first sight! And the feeling was mutual. Mike gives great communication all around, his lovely home and enclosed yard is the perfect setting for my high energy pup.”
10. Jessica J.
“I cannot think of a better person to write a testimonial for in terms of caring for a pet. Jessica has had dogs all her life and he loved them unconditionally. She now has her own dogs, two of them, that she adopted from a shelter. One of them, her youngest one, Stella, was traumatized when Jessica brought her in home. The patience, devoting, understanding, caring and outright loved was beyond words. At first, in order to take Stella out of the house, a blanket had to be placed over her, so she could be picked up. When Stella came over the house she would hide under the porch the entire time. Now, Stella arrives without a leash and comes running into the backyard. She allows me to kiss her head and snout and allows me to pat her continuously. I never would have envisioned that Stella would reach that point. Five minutes seeing Jessica interact with Stella will be enough to reflect the love she has for her. Arlo, who older pup, is so well acclimated that he is like an 80lb lapdog because he is so comfortable around people. This is due, once again, to the patience that Jessica provided Arlo when she brought him home. I am so proud of Jessica because the love she has is real, pure and honest. Not all dog owners are like that, and I would trust Jessica to take care of my little girl in a heartbeat. Jessica heart has no bounds when it comes to dogs.”
11. Danielle & Timothy S.
“They are the best, I'm not happy with Rover, tried to leave a 10.00 tip , 6.00 is the maximum amount for this stay. I should be able to tip what I want”
12. Katherine H.
“Katherine was awesome with our dog Cloud. He has some medical issues that she handled so well. We were given regular updates and we definitely trust cloud with her for the future.”
13. Alie L.
“Alie is an amazing pet sitter. I have had her watch my mini golden doodle countless times and he never wants to leave! Alie provides tons of updates and pictures throughout the day and I know her and her family are giving my dog plenty of love. She also has a nice large fenced in yard for the dogs to play. I will definitely be going back to Alie!”
14. Elizabeth B.
“Elizabeth was fantastic from the meet and greet through Sabi's first stay! She sent pictures and videos of Sabi having so much fun playing with Peanut. This is our first time using Rover and we are thrilled. We are looking forward to Sabi's first overnight experience!”
15. Michele P.
“Michele has watched my 2 dogs multiple times. She has owned and loved multiple dogs herself and has history of caring for dogs with extra needs. She is kind, thoroughly follows any instructions, and always takes the best care of my dogs. My dogs feel right at home with her. She is the first person I call when I need dog sitting services and I never worry when my pups are with her.”
16. Julia F.
About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

“Josh and Nicole were so great with our puppy. First time using them for day care and they helped our pup walk for the first time in a neighborhood!”
18. Felicia F.
“Felicia is a hardworking and reliable worker. She has been in the animal business for countless years as a Vet Tech and Veterinary student. I highly recommend Felicia as she will be able to assist to all your pets needs both generally and medically.”
19. Charlie S.
“Charlie S. is a great dog owner and pet sitter. He treats every dog with the same responsibility and care as his own. He is one of my Bullmastiff, Lola’s, favorite people. He has been very caring when he walks her and takes care of her. Lola can be very stubborn and Charlie S. is great with her. He has a lot of training knowledge and loves dogs - a great combination! I would highly recommend him.”
20. Christine R.
“Christine is an excellent choice for a dog walker/sitter. We had her take care of our one year old puppy- it was the first time leaving him overnight and Christine was so attentive to him! She took him for long walks and gave him so much love and attention. She sent pictures and checked in frequently during our time away. Christine is kind, gentle and very easy to work with. She is highly recommended!”
