“We absolutely love Chelsea & Derek. We have been using them for over a year now and am so happy to have found them. I would highly recommend their services.”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of dogs since I was a young child. Neighbors, family and friends have all asked me to pet sit! I now have a 2 year old rescue name Genny! She is very sweet, a big girl at 95lbs but extremely submissive in all situations! She would love a play mate and extra walks! Work from home M-F. On my lunch we always take a walk usually about 2 miles and Genny get plenty of potty breaks and outdoors time! I can follow any type of specific feeding plan and can ensure walks and outdoor time are a focus! I love dogs and would want to make sure your pet was taken care of they way I would want Genny to be!
“This was our first experience leaving our 9 mo. old shihtzu pup for daycare. Mom was nervous - puppy had the best day ever! Katie took great care of our boy and he definitely loved every minute, living his best life! Thank you Katie!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
“Would definitely leave Rex with Alyssa again. She worked with our schedule ( even as she was packing for a family trip the next day). When we arrived to pick Rex up, he was outside with Alyssa- looked very happy to be “helping” !”

About: I’m great with dogs because I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love being around them. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and needs, whether that means high-energy playtime, calm walks, or just quiet companionship. I’m very observant of behavior and body language, so I can quickly tell when a dog is excited, anxious, or needs extra care. I’m reliable with feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions, and I always prioritize safety and comfort. Most importantly, I treat every dog like my own and I make sure they feel loved, secure, and happy while their owners are away. 🐶❤️ I have 2 dachshunds of my own♥️ I am currently a Teacher, I work from 8-3:45 during the week! I am always home after those times and on the weekends! I am off in the summers and on all school breaks and holidays! I have 2 dachshunds of my own and I spend ALL my time with them when I am home, so I can do the same with your pets! I have a fenced in yard and two fur babies to keep yours company! I can crate them if needed but mine roam the kitchen while I am gone and sleep in bed with me! We are always walking and outside running around!
“Crystal is great with our puppy!! She was very attentive and informative with us throughout the booking process and always kept us up to date on how Ivy was doing while we were at work. Crystal is contentious of our pup’s needs and provides care and affection accordingly. We will definitely be booking with Crystal again!!”

“Kiara and Yves did an amazing job watching Teddy. Once I dropped him off, he felt right at home. Kiara kept on contact with me throughout the booking to update me on Teddys status and sent several pics. Will definitely book with Kiara and Yves again if we’re in the area.”

“I feel like Courtney isn't just the best dog sitter, she's one of the best humans. She was so welcoming and understanding of my not completely house trained pup, and she's almost like a trainer as well as sitter. She's worked on crate training and commands with my pup, even letting me borrow things to help at home. Five other sitters denied my request to watch a puppy, but Courtney is the ultimate dog lover, and honestly has more patience than anyone I've ever met. My only concern is that my pup loves being at her house maybe more than mine, since Courtney's dogs are her new best friends! I can't recommend her highly enough, except I'll be sad if she ever ends up booked when I need her. I couldn't imagine using anyone else.”

About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. I have animals that will stay upstairs when the dog or cat is here.
“Mary and her family are absolutely AMAZING with our puppy, Scout! She communicates and sends me pictures throughout the day and after only one day of daycare, the next time he saw her he was SO excited!! Her sweet dog, Maggie, has taken Scout under her wing and is so good with him. I cannot say enough good things! I feel like we hit the lottery by finding Mary to care for our sweet boy when we are at work. He leaves ever day happy and exhausted!”

About: Transporting pets across the country has shown me how to properly tend and care for animals. Having owned and trained two dogs over the years, has also proven to show the nitty gritty details that you just do not receive when only working with them at a job. I hope in choosing me to take care of your precious pets, that not only will I prove to be the most calming and caring person that will put your pets at ease, but also one who can put you at ease with the trust that your pet is in good hands. I work at a pet store part-time for the local owner, Shaun, for the Lucky Dog Co. I am never there for greater than a 5 hour shift. I have multiple sized cages ranging from extra small, to large. I do not have a customized crate, however the largest size I offer is a 700 series sized crate. These will only be used when I am not home. Your pet will have a fenced in property. There will always be clean water to drink from. I will feed them depending on your preferences for feeding. Otherwise, once in the morning and once in the evening. I look forward to taking care of your pets. Thank-you for choosing me!
About: I have taken care of animals of all kinds, mostly dogs. I am comfortable with messes, bathing, feeding, walking, and medical needs, ranging from small dogs to large dogs. This is my hobby and passion. Caring for animals (dogs) is my greatest joy. We are free to board on weekends or during the week. Please feel free to contact and we can discuss further arrangements. Thank you so much we look forward to hearing from you. Our family pets, are well cared for. They are all up to date with shots, they all have been given flea and tick medicine for health and safety purposes. They get fresh meals and treats, walks, baths, playtime inside and outside, along with rest time.
“Priya and her family were so good to Koda. He loved spending time with them! She gave us updates throughout the day- great communication overall. I’d definitely have her watch Koda again. He was so happy with her. :)”

About: “My fashion philosophy is, if you’re not covered in dog hair, your life is empty.” – Elayne Boosler I am home 95% of the time during the summer, we just extended the fence to about an acre! Also have an above ground pool that your pup can swim in with my help if they like to. During the school year I am out of the house Mon-Fri from 7-4 so I can take dogs for boarding on Friday's starting at 4 or after. My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! I am home 24/7 when watching your pup. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to play and a nice indoor area as well. Our dogs are allowed on furniture and prefer it over their expensive dog beds lol.
“I highly recommend Joah & Kelly! They were very aware and responsive to Rosie, provide a lot of support during her first day. I really appreciated the pics 📸 they sent throughout the day, too. It was reassuring to see Rosie happy & comfortable.”

About: Hi! I'm Caitlin and I have worked with animals professionally for over 10 years in grooming, boarding, training and animal shelters. Now, I work remotely and spend my time with my 4 cats :) My specialty and preference is in cat care and senior dogs. However, I will consider all booking requests. I am currently not able to handle very energetic animals, or animals that are very strong. I am better suited to more relaxed pets. **Important** - I currently work a full time job from home and can be flexible with scheduling. I will work from your home if booked for house sitting, so it is required I have a reliable internet connection! - At this time I require m&gs for all house sitting services before bookings, to ensure our expectations meet and to make sure your pet is comfortable with me. For long term house sitting, I highly reccomend a trial run of 1 day of daycare or a drop in visit. I work from home full time so I am available during the workday when most people are away! I love being able to hangout with new friends during my work week. Safety is and always has been my top priority. I am proudly fear free certified and have worked on extensive safety training measures in all of my professional working environments.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your East Concord commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
