“Kelsey did a wonderful job watching our dog Zippy while we were away! She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Zippy looked happy, well cared for, and clearly got lots of attention. 🐾 We really appreciated how reliable and kind Kelsey was throughout the stay. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. We’d absolutely trust her with Zippy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter on Rover! 😊”

“Amanda and her husband were absolutely wonderful with our 11 month old puppy, Theo! He loved playing with their 2 pups and running in their fenced in backyard. Amanda was so accommodating and sent us updates with pictures of Theo each day of our trip. It was very comforting knowing that he was with someone who cared so much! We would happily book with Amanda and her husband again.”
“Monty was SO happy at Melanie’s! He walked right in to her spotless home and made himself comfortable. He loved all of his walks and we loved the twice daily updates So happy we found Melanie.”

“They helped me out TONS by watching my Shih Tzu for about 6 days. I’ve never used Rover before, so I was a little hesitant at first. Everything went smooth and they were flexible on drop off & pickup times since we drove all day. My dog seemed extremely comfortable @ pickup and we got several pics throughout the week! I would definitely book with them again.”

“Kyle is absolutely amazing! I’ve had some horrible Rover experiences so I was very anxious about using it again, but Kyle has dispelled all of that. My girls literally LOVED him from the moment they met him which is wild because my dogs don’t ever warm up that quickly! Kyle has helped me out with last minute care a couple of times now and I’m so grateful. He takes them on walks and sends TONS of videos and pictures. I can tell he truly loves dogs and caring for them, which is all that I want in a sitter. 100/10 recommend. I will always use him!❤️”

“Our lil girl Brownie was real tired from staying with Karma and new fur friends. Karma was great and put us at ease with Brownie’s first stay there. Big fenced in yard to play was an added bonus. We definitely will use her in the future.”

“My dog, Lola, enjoyed Thanksgiving week with Samantha and I’ve already booked the Christmas holiday week for her. That’s high praise for Samantha’s positive style & work ethics. ***** 5 stars!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Pattie and Paul were wonderful caregivers to my dog. They sent pictures and took him on walks and played with him. They kept me posted on daily events which made me feel like they truly cared about him. I highly recommend them!!”

“LeAndra was very communicative throughout the trip and took the time to share pictures and updates that put our mind at ease. She walked Hermione and made sure she felt loved even through the 4th of July fireworks. Would absolutely book again.”

“Haley was an amazing host! Very communicative and kept us informed through the entire visit. Our Copper really seemed to enjoy his weekend stay! We will definitely use Haley’s services again! 5 ⭐️”

“We’re really happy with Debra and how she handled everything for our dog while we were out of town. We arranged for a meetup before the stay to ensure this would be a good match. When I dropped off our dog there was an introduction to the other pets in her home so our pup could get acclimated. While we were away we received daily updates with photos and it looked like our pup was having a great time. Thanks for taking good care and we look forward to scheduling with you again!”

“Katie is AMAZING!! From the moment I dropped my puppy off until I picked him up. She updated me sent me pictures and was very responsive. I booked her with short notice and also longer visit. I had to add a day and she accommodated it. I will definitely be using her services again in the future. If I could give 10 stars I would she is great.”

“She was awesome and extra attentive since I was sending my cats off to temporary foster and their stay with her. She kept me updated on their interactions and progress in a new environment. She also sent lots of pics and allowed me the opportunity to watch them through camera footage. She was great!”

“Alayna was super kind and responsive. Sent lots of pictures of my pup while I was gone! My dog just ran right into her house when I dropped her off, so I knew it was going to go well. I plan to utilize her services in the future!”

I work from home with a very flexible schedule and will be able to keep a good eye on your dog. We have a pet friendly home inside and out. Our yard is fenced in. We have dog toys and balls all over. The dogs get plenty of exercise throughout the day.
“Sandra was wonderful! She took in our dogs for boarding while we were away in Ohio on a family vacation, even without a meet and greet beforehand. She made the process super easy and stress-free. Our dogs were well cared for, and we felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands. We really appreciate her flexibility and care. Highly recommend!”
About: I always loved animals. They come second hand in my life. I always take good care of my pets. I have a dog as well I currently delivery drive and I’m also in school. About: Hi! I’m a responsible and dependable person who enjoys being around animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow whatever works best for you and your pet. Whether your dog needs a good walk, your cat needs some company, or your pets simply need someone to check in while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’ll make sure they’re fed, cared for, exercised, and comfortable while keeping their normal routine as much as possible. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to details, and will keep you updated while you’re away. My goal is simple: make sure your pets are well cared for and that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about them. 🐶 Walks & exercise 🐱 Drop-in visits 🏡 House sitting ❤️ Lots of love and attention 📸 Photo updates so you know your pet is happy I want your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, while keeping their normal routine as much as possible. Our days typically include: 🌅 Morning Your pet will start the day with a potty break, fresh water, breakfast, and some playtime or a walk. They’ll have plenty of attention before settling into a relaxed part of the day. ☀️ Midday I work two days a week, but your pet will never be left without a plan. My husband works less than a mile from our home, so he can easily stop by during the workday to let your pet outside, play with them, and give them some extra attention. 🐕 Afternoon On days I’m home, we’ll have additional potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I’m happy to adjust the routine based on your pet’s age, energy level, and normal schedule. 🌙 Evening Evenings include dinner, outdoor time, playtime or a walk, and relaxing family time. We’ll finish the night with a final potty break before bedtime. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, potty, medication, and sleeping routines so their stay feels as familiar as possible. My goal is simple: while you’re away, your pet should feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for—not like they’re just being boarded I have a huge backyard to run and play in if your pet is able. We also have neighborhoods around us to go for long or short walks for exercise. I have no problem with your pet being on the furniture if that is what they are used to. There are currently no other animals in the house, so your pet will get undivided attention. There is an electric fence on our property, but will only be used if the pets’ parent prefers to use it.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their East Claridon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your East Claridon.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your East Claridon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
