“Awesome sitter, would recommend her to watch any dog. Hopefully she would be willing to watch my Bray again. I had clear, consistent, and prompt responses and even photos. Crimean truly is an awesome sitter and animal lover.”

“Katie is wonderful. She is caring and attentive to our cat Moscato. She sees to it that Moscato is happy and comfortable. I am very happy that Katie accepted to take care of him.”

“We, including our dog, LOVE Sarah. She was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. We received frequent updates and pictures. We met her before she dogs to make sure our dog was comfortable at her place. Everything went smoothly and we would definitely be using her services again in the future.”

“Melissa watched my puppy on new years and did great! He was on medication for a hurt paw and she made sure he was properly taken care of. He had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend!”

“Kim is awesome with dogs and was amazing with my 9 year old girl Kayli! I never felt comfortable leaving Kayli but I know my she felt right at home with the pictures and video updates I got on a daily basis. I would recommend her 100% and look forward to boarding with her again in the future. If you’re looking for a boarder who really cares for the well-being and comfort of your dog she is the one!”

“Mikaila is amazing!! She is so professional and on top of everything. She sent timely updates and pictures while watching Bogey, and took thorough notes during our meet and greet to make sure she gave my dog the most personalized care she could. I have a rescue and he can be very timid, but he warmed up to her, and I've never seen him so excited about a dog sitter before. Highly recommend!”

“Kristin is great! Her house was well kept, with a nice backyard for playtime. Her pets made great companions and she took great care of my pup. She'll be my first choice next time I need someone to watch him.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our 14-year-old dog over the weekend! ❤️ It’s not always easy leaving an older dog because they need a little extra love, attention, and patience, but we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and kept us updated throughout the weekend, which meant so much to us. Our dog was happy, comfortable, and clearly very well cared for. We are so grateful for the love and care she gave him and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their fur baby. We will definitely be using her again! 🐾❤️”

“Andrew and Jacklynn are the absolute best!! They took such great care of our dog while we were away and provided daily updates and photos!! Can’t wait to use them again!”

About: I’ve loved dogs my entire life! Growing up, I had a Greyhound, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also spent years pet sitting for friends and family, caring for both small and large dogs. We currently have a dog of our own, a loving mix breed we rescued in 2021. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’ll treat your dog with the same love, patience, and care I give my own. Im a full time work from home mom with a flexible schedule. I am available primarily Monday through Friday but can also open my availability throughout the weekends if needed. We have a small not fenced in backyard. Our loving 5 year old mix breed pup loves walks and is always happy for extra company on our daily trips around the neighborhood. All animals are treated like family and are given limitless love. I have a 2 year old who loves all the puppy cuddles but understands boundaries.
“Thank you for helping us out last minute and close to the holidays. You took wonderful care of Tucker and treated him like one of the family. Have a Merry Christmas and a very healthy, happy New Year with your beautiful family.”

About: As dog parents with experience in fostering, we know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. We’ll take the time to learn your dog’s personality, routine, and favorite things so they feel comfortable while you’re away. We understand that every dog is different, some love playtime and long walks, while others prefer a slower pace and extra cuddles. We will follow your care instructions closely and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel connected and confident that your dog is being cared for. I work a very flexible hybrid schedule, and my husband works fully remotely, so someone is always home throughout the day. Caring for our own dogs is already part of our daily routine, and we work together to provide potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. We believe walks and enrichment are important parts of keeping dogs happy and fulfilled. We make time for walks that let dogs set the pace and enjoy plenty of sniffing, along with enrichment activities tailored to their interests and energy levels. We also enjoy visiting local parks and fields for more exploring. At home, we have a tether anchored in the backyard for supervised outdoor time, and we will always follow your dog’s comfort level and preferences when/if you prefer for it to be used. Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s needs and usual routine to make sure our schedule and activities are a good fit. Whether your pet stays in our home or I visit them in yours, their safety and comfort are always a priority. Before booking, we’ll discuss their personality, routines, and any special needs so we can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. For stays in our home, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet to see how your dog gets along with ours and make sure everyone is a good fit. We’ll discuss feeding arrangements, supervision, and any boundaries your dog needs, including having their own space to relax. Outdoor tether time is always supervised and only offered with your approval. For walks and drop-in visits, I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, and home security. We’ll also go over any triggers, escape tendencies, or other concerns so I know what to watch for. You’ll receive photos and updates, and your pet will get plenty of attention, patience, and care.
“Lexi took amazing care of our dog, Stormi! We were initially nervous about leaving her, but Lexi made the entire experience so much easier. She consistently sent us photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She also made sure Stormi got all of her medication on time, and it was clear she truly cared about her well-being. Knowing Stormi was safe, loved, and well cared for meant everything to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we would absolutely trust Lexi with Stormi again. Highly recommend!”

“Kevin was absolutely amazing at caring for our two pitties while we were on vacation. He sent me daily updates, with pictures included, and talked about how the dogs were doing and what they did for the day. He even took them on walks which I thought was awesome! It was so nice to have someone care so much for our babies in our absence! We were so nervous leaving the dogs because this would be the first time they both spend a few nights away from us. Kevin did everything he could to make our babies feel comfortable in his home and to make us comfortable leaving them on his care and the dogs loved him! I will definitely book with Kevin again when we go away on our next vacation!”

“Hollie is an excellent dog sitter. This was the second time that we left our Jazzi with her and her dog Jovi for a week. She sent photos each day and I can tell she loves the dogs she sits as much as her own. Hollie is also very flexible and works with your schedule. She takes such great care of my Jazzi and I trust her with my girl.”

“I cannot say enough about Pepper's stay with Wendy. We rarely leave Pepper and were a little apprehensive about leaving her for a full week. But no worries here. Pepper made herself right at home. Wendy sent pictures daily of Pepper and their long walks together and of Pepper relaxing on the couch and seemingly enjoying her time there. I would definitely recommend Wendy for your pups and will certainly use her when we travel in the future. Thanks again Wendy! 💖”

“Absolutely 100% recommend. I received so many adorable photos of my pups while I was away. Excellent communication and can really tell how much Staci loves animals. She loved on my babies so much and can really tell that they were in good hands.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Earlington
We had a wonderful experience! We needed someone to watch our two Golden Retrievers on very short notice after our original sitter had to cancel, and Kayleen was able to accommodate us without hesitation. We were looking for a home environment where our dogs would have plenty of room to play and burn off their energy, and that’s exactly what they got. We also loved receiving daily pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed their stay. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care they received and will definitely be using Kayleen again. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Earlington home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Earlington.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Earlington sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
